Lu Wanqing first picked up Xiao Yushu, carefully placing the child on the leaf. The moment Xiao Shushu settled onto it, she felt her heart flutter. "Ahhh, so cute, I want to ruffle her head!"
But how did one take photos here?
This was the Star Net, and Lu Wanqing was still a bit confused.
"Yinong, how do you take photos on the Star Net?" Lu Wanqing asked, turning to Yinong.
Yinong: "..."
Yinong was silent for a second before teaching Lu Wanqing how to open her optical computer and find the capture button.
"Capture?" Lu Wanqing repeated after seeing what Yinong pointed to, a smile tugging at her lips.
"Does the Star Net have capture spheres, the kind that can change angles like in the previous livestream, allowing you to take photos from different perspectives?" Lu Wanqing couldn't help but ask again.
Taking memorial photos, she felt photography skills were very important. The same scene could feel different from different angles, and a good angle could truly make something breathtaking!
Yinong looked utterly bewildered, a vast expanse of confusion in his eyes as he stared at Lu Wanqing.
Lu Wanqing felt helpless and decided to search on her optical computer herself. Yinong seemed a bit dim-witted, perhaps just a bookworm, and probably didn't understand these playful things.
As Lu Wanqing searched, she found exactly what she wanted. The Star Net world in the interstellar era was much like a virtual world. Just as there were capture spheres in the real world, there were virtual capture spheres on the virtual world. Purchasing a virtual capture sphere meant that any function available in the real world could also be used in the Star Net world. You could even livestream on the Star Net world using a virtual capture sphere, which was amazing!
Lu Wanqing immediately spent a little money and bought a virtual capture sphere for the Star Net, then began taking photos!
The capture sphere was much more advanced than she had imagined; it didn't require someone to operate it. This gave Lu Wanqing the chance to play with Xiao Yushu.
Yinong's earlier suggestion, that she could also go up there, was quite tempting once she realized it.
After confirming with Yinong that she could join them, Lu Wanqing climbed onto the leaf with Xiao Yushu.
Mother and daughter were on the leaf together. Xiao Yushu was even happier than before. They even asked Yinong to join them. One mutated plant, three leaves, and three people. Lu Wanqing and Yinong took their positions on either side, with Xiao Yushu in the middle on a smaller leaf. The capture sphere took a photo of them.
After this photo was taken, Lu Wanqing actually wanted to go to other places to take more pictures. Unfortunately, Yinong reminded her that it was getting late.
"It's very late; Shushu needs to rest. She has class tomorrow," Yinong's muffled voice said.
Lu Wanqing looked bewildered. She opened her optical computer and checked the time, only then realizing how late it was.
"Mm-hmm, it is quite late. Let's go offline for now and come back tomorrow," Lu Wanqing said.
Yinong: "???" Come back tomorrow?
Yinong couldn't understand Lu Wanqing's thoughts, but he wasn't one to pry. As long as Lu Wanqing agreed to log off and rest, that was fine.
The family of three logged off together. When they emerged from the Star Net pods, Lu Wanqing's lips still curved in a smile, her eyes twinkling with happiness. Little Shushu, too, had completely forgotten her previous troubles, her small face, no bigger than a palm, alight with a joyous smile.
Seeing her child's happy expression, Lu Wanqing's mood improved even further. She couldn't help but reach out and gently ruffle the little one's head. Children shouldn't dwell on sad things. If something made them unhappy, they should go out and play, and perhaps all their worries would disappear.
The three went downstairs together, then to their respective rooms to wash up and sleep.
Xiao Yushu shared a room with Lu Wanqing. Lu Wanqing held her daughter and read her a bedtime story.
Xiao Yushu listened intently, but it was truly too late. She would normally be fast asleep by now. As the story progressed, the little one became drowsy and fell asleep before it was finished.
Lu Wanqing's voice softened and eventually faded away. She carefully pulled the covers up for the child.
Time passed quickly. One night, it was over. She opened her eyes again, and it was a new day.
Lu Wanqing woke up early that morning. Recalling that she had made wontons for Xiao Yi and Lanlan before, Lu Wanqing decided to make wontons for Shushu herself, believing her daughter would enjoy the delicious dish.
Aunt Zhang was curious about Lu Wanqing's cooking process. With Lu Wanqing's permission, she helped in the kitchen, assisting Lu Wanqing and observing with keen interest.
Making wontons wasn't overly difficult, nor was it incredibly simple. However, practice made perfect. Lu Wanqing had made them many times before and could now do so with ease.
Perhaps she was tired from playing on the Star Net the previous night, but Xiao Shushu woke up later than usual. Lu Wanqing cooked the wontons, checked the time, and then went upstairs to wake Xiao Shushu.
Xiao Shushu, small and delicate, slept peacefully under the covers, looking more adorable the more Lu Wanqing gazed at her.
Looking at her child, Lu Wanqing's heart melted, feeling as soft as cotton. She felt she was about to be completely overwhelmed by her little cub's cuteness.
Lu Wanqing leaned down and gently kissed her child's forehead, then gently nudged Xiao Shushu.
"Shushu, it's getting late. Time to get up."
"You have kindergarten."
Lu Wanqing's gentle voice reminded her.
Xiao Yushu blinked her eyes open, a little groggy. She saw her mommy and was momentarily disoriented, but quickly remembered: this was Mommy!
Xiao Yushu's face lit up with joy. She reached out her little arms and happily hugged her mommy, "Mommy!!!"
Lu Wanqing was also happy, scooping up her obedient daughter who had rushed into her arms. She felt truly blessed.
However, after a brief embrace, Lu Wanqing set the little one down and said, "Shushu, you need to get up, or you'll be late for kindergarten."
"Okay!" Xiao Yushu nodded quickly.
Xiao Yushu was already six years old, a big girl who could dress herself and take care of herself.
Lu Wanqing didn't want to spoil her child. She helped find the clothes and then watched from the side as the little one dressed herself, then went to the washroom to freshen up.
Having Mommy by her side made Xiao Yushu feel incredibly happy. She didn't have a mommy before, but now she did. Her mommy was wonderful, and she absolutely, incredibly loved her mommy! 138 Reading Network
Xiao Yushu quickly finished washing up. She returned to Lu Wanqing's side and said happily, "Mommy, I'm ready."
Lu Wanqing smiled and nodded, "Mm."
"Let's go downstairs to eat. Mommy made little wontons this morning, they're very delicious," Lu Wanqing said with a smile.
Xiao Yushu paused at the mention, then asked curiously, "What are little wontons?"
"It's a type of food, very delicious," Lu Wanqing explained.
Xiao Yushu's small chest pounded with excitement. She wanted to try them.
When they reached the bottom of the stairs, she saw Grandma and seemed a little less afraid.
"Grandma," Xiao Yushu greeted her grandmother happily, her clear, crisp voice particularly sweet.
