Chapter 80: Chapter 80: Proof
The next second.
Her tears uncontrollably poured out, blurring her vision.
The moment her tears fell, Elias Lancaster’s stern, cold expression completely vanished. He hurriedly stepped forward, scooped her up, placed her on his lap, and gently wiped away her tears.
He softly said, "Baby, don’t cry, it’s not what you think."
Serena Yeats, upon hearing his words, cried even harder, unable to stop her tears.
Elias Lancaster was full of heartache, wiping her tears while explaining.
"She invited me under the guise of a team dinner, and when I arrived with my secretary, I saw she was the only one there. I didn’t eat with her; I went to your school to pick you up.
As soon as I got to the school, Quentin Shaw texted me saying you went to the office, so I rushed there, but when I arrived, you weren’t there."
When I got there, she was the only one, and everyone knew what was going on.
He turned around and left immediately, and just as he reached the school gate, he received the message from Quentin Shaw, so he rushed back.
Little did he know, his precious would lose control of her emotions and leave alone.
Fortunately, she went back home, otherwise, he would have gone crazy.
It’s all that damn woman’s fault; if it weren’t for her, his precious wouldn’t have misunderstood and cried so sadly.
That woman had impure motives, so it’s better not to cooperate with her.
He tenderly caressed her face, kissing away her tears one by one, though they kept coming.
He wondered if his explanation lacked persuasiveness, so he called Quentin Shaw to bring the people he went with.
"Ma’am, we went with President Lancaster, and when we got there, we found only VP Quinn alone, and President Lancaster just turned around and left.
Don’t worry, President Lancaster didn’t dine alone with VP Quinn."
"Yes, yes, we were all there together, don’t misunderstand."
After they finished speaking, upon receiving Elias Lancaster’s signal, Quentin Shaw left with them.
Serena Yeats heard everything they said, realized she had misunderstood, and gradually her tears stopped.
She calmed down, the sadness in her heart dissipated, and she hung her head, not daring to look at the man.
Elias Lancaster lifted her small face; her eyes were swollen and red from crying.
He sighed helplessly.
"It’s my fault for letting you misunderstand, I’m sorry." He apologized sincerely.
Serena Yeats opened her mouth but was too embarrassed to say anything.
It was her lack of trust in Elias Lancaster that caused the misunderstanding.
After apologizing, Elias Lancaster started to settle scores. "Baby, you don’t trust me."
He looked at Serena Yeats as if she were prey.
Serena felt guilty, looking away, "I... I didn’t..."
She indeed didn’t trust Elias Lancaster, which was a fact she couldn’t refute. It was her fault, and she was at his mercy for punishment.
Elias Lancaster kissed her forehead, "Why would you think I would be interested in anyone else? Do you think my love for you isn’t real?"
Serena Yeats immediately panicked, "No, I..."
Elias didn’t give her a chance to finish, "Then do you think I’m incapable of being faithful?"
Serena felt even guiltier, "No..."
Elias tightened the hold on her waist, "Then why don’t you trust me?"
He was determined to find out.
Serena bowed her head, softly said, "I... I just thought... you’re in a high position, surrounded by... so many excellent people, so much temptation..."
Before she could finish, Elias interrupted her, "Baby, before I met you, many people wanted to send their daughters to my bed, even themselves."
Serena suddenly looked up into his eyes.
"But I’m not interested in them; only you are different, understand?" he said each word clearly, looking straight into her eyes.
Those people, he wouldn’t even glance at them.
Except for his baby, he had no interest in any other women.
Serena nodded half-understandingly, looking as innocent as a little white rabbit.
Seeing Serena like this, Elias’ eyes darkened.
He bit her lip, "It seems my baby doesn’t know how deep my love for you is."
With that, he picked her up and carried her out of the nursery, back to the bedroom.
As Serena’s body was suddenly lifted, she instinctively wrapped her arms around his neck and saw the dangerous signal in his eyes, feeling a bit scared.
She had a hunch that he was going to prove what he just said through action.
She quickly spoke up, "Elias, I’m hungry..."
Elias held back, carrying her downstairs to the dining room, where Nanny Livingston quickly brought the warmed food to the table.
Serena wanted to get off his lap, but he refused to let her.
He silently fed her.
When Serena tried to feed herself, one look from him made her retract her hand, letting him feed her.
Elias continued to feed her while eating himself.
After feeding her enough, he directly carried her upstairs.
From time to time, he would kiss her. With each kiss, the fire burned hotter!
He carried Serena Yeats, kissing her while heading toward the bedroom.
His hot breath sprayed on Serena Yeats’ skin, feeling so scorching.
She... felt a little afraid.
After a while.
In the bedroom.
Close-fitting clothes were scattered all over.
Most of the duvet hung off the edge of the bed, partly draped over the edge, with a slender hand tightly clutching a corner, filling the room with a spring aura.
The man’s heavy breaths fell beside Serena Yeats’ ear, hands wantonly wandering around her waist, his sexy thin lips gently sucking at her earlobe.
That night, Serena Yeats listened to the man passionately confessing his love, each word etched into her heart.
Only at this moment did she realize that she had underestimated the man’s love for her.
In the early hours.
He looked at the person in his arms who had already fainted, her body covered in sweat, face flushed.
Thinking about the night’s madness, he smiled.
He picked her up, with the person in his arms mumbling, "No... no more..."
Elias gently said, "Sleep."
He carried her into the bathroom, letting her lean against him as he gently washed away her sweat.
Looking at her enticing body, he couldn’t resist kissing her.
Recalling her sweet moans from before.
He couldn’t help but lean in, kissing her lips.
When he saw the surveillance video of her leaving, realizing her lack of trust in him, he felt anger, even pain, but more so, unease.
But then he thought, it was okay, her lack of trust meant he hadn’t done enough, said enough.
He’d just have to do more, show her that he loved her, always and forever.
Elias washed her clean, carried her back to bed, covered her with the quilt, kissed her, and then left the room.
