Chapter 82: Chapter 82: Does He Not Want Me Anymore?
Serena Yeats nodded.
She suddenly thought of something and looked up at Elias Lancaster.
"Have they already been found?"
Elias Lancaster furrowed his brows, "Serena, do you want to meet them?"
Serena Yeats nodded, then shook her head.
She felt a bit uneasy.
Today, Elias suddenly brought her to a friend’s gathering, and then suddenly asked her about finding her parents.
She had a question in her heart.
Does he not want me anymore?
Once my parents are found, will he send me back to them?
Yet Elias Lancaster was unaware of these thoughts.
"Let me know when you’ve decided to meet them, and I’ll arrange it," Elias gently caressed her face.
Elias had already contacted Old Master Keaton and informed him that Serena Yeats was aware of finding her family.
"She must be very disappointed in us."
"No, she wouldn’t think that way."
Although Serena didn’t say anything, Elias could feel her yearning for family.
After hanging up the phone.
Old Master Keaton looked out the window.
It’s time to let them know.
A week later.
Old Master Keaton took out a file envelope from the drawer and walked downstairs.
When he handed the envelope to his son, Kian Keaton, and daughter-in-law Ruby Yates, they both looked puzzled.
"Take a look," said Old Master Keaton.
Kian Keaton opened the file, took out the contents, and saw the bold words: Paternity Test.
The couple looked at Old Master Keaton in shock.
Then they quickly turned to the page with the results.
When they saw what was written, their eyes widened, and their hands trembled.
Ruby Yates’s tears immediately fell, as she covered her mouth in disbelief, looking at the paternity test over and over.
Kian Keaton’s voice trembled, "Dad, this..."
Old Master Keaton knew what he wanted to ask and nodded heavily.
"That child has suffered greatly," Old Master Keaton recalled the hardships Serena Yeats endured during her delivery at the hospital.
And those investigation results, showing how her adoptive parents were harsh on her.
Old Master Keaton handed them another file envelope.
They opened it, looking at all the information inside, their hearts aching.
But upon seeing the photos.
They were shocked.
So similar, incredibly similar!
She was almost a replica of Ruby Yates.
Their daughter was really still alive!
Still alive!
Instantly, Kian Keaton’s eyes turned red.
He reached out to caress the girl in the photo.
Looking at one photo after another in his hands.
Seeing all the documents in his hand, the couple’s hearts were breaking.
When they saw the last photo, they froze.
Wasn’t this the Lancaster’s full moon banquet?
Looking closely, the petite and lovely girl standing beside Elias Lancaster was indeed their daughter!
Kian Keaton connected all the recent events.
No wonder Elias Lancaster risked his life to save their son.
He always thought it was because his son Ronan Keaton and Elias Lancaster were good brothers, that’s why Elias took the risk to save them.
It turned out it was because...
Just then.
The servant approached.
"Master, Sir, Madam, there’s a guest, it’s the young master of the Lancaster Family."
"Invite him in," said Old Master Keaton.
Elias Lancaster was invited, Old Master called him before going downstairs, and asked him to come alone.
Elias came forward, "Grandfather."
Kian Keaton observed Elias Lancaster, whom he had watched grow up, but after Elias went overseas to study, they hadn’t seen each other often.
"Elias and Minnie are already married, they are legally husband and wife," Old Master Keaton said.
Elias called, "Dad, Mom."
Perhaps it was the way a father-in-law looked at his son-in-law, how nothing seemed right.
Even though he watched Elias grow up, at this moment, Kian Keaton could not accept this son-in-law, despite Elias’s past bravery to save them.
This probably is the thought of all fathers-in-law.
He asked with a stern face, "Have you and Minnie registered for marriage?"
Elias nodded, "Yes."
Kian Keaton took a deep breath, momentarily unsure of what to say.
Uncertain about his own feelings.
Finally finding his long-lost daughter, it’s exciting.
However, the next moment, being told.
His family’s precious daughter has been snatched by someone...
His daughter Minnie is still so young, just at the age to enjoy the wonderful college life, how did she end up married so soon?
Yet, he hadn’t processed it fully.
"Dad, Mom, you also have two grandsons."
Then, Elias took out the family photo with him, Serena, and the children.
"These are your grandsons, this is Yara, and this is Yuri."
Ruby Yates on the side had already cried uncontrollably.
Her hands trembled as she took the photos from Elias, looking at the two babies and her daughter, her emotions were complex.
Before they had time to digest the fact that their daughter was already married, they were suddenly grandparents, such an explosive revelation felt both joyous and furious.
This boy is much older than our Minnie, she must have been deceived by him!
The couple both thought.
Looking at Elias, their expressions shifted.
Elias knew what they were thinking at the moment, if he had a daughter, perhaps he’d be even more...
So.
He began to shift their attention.
Explaining how Serena Yeats got lost that year, to how the Yeats Family raised her, and what her life was like growing up.
He narrated everything in the simplest way.
Though they had seen the data.
Listening to Elias’s words now, they were furious.
Kian Keaton wished he could crush the blood-sucking leeches of the Yeats Family.
Their Minnie, how did she live such a harsh life!
They even wanted to sell Minnie to such beasts.
How could such people deserve to be called parents!
Ruby Yates saw Kian Keaton’s breathing becoming more rapid, she held his hand, "Calm down, our Minnie is alive, isn’t she?"
"Where are the Yeats?" Kian Keaton asked through gritted teeth.
His tone was filled with the desire to devour them entirely; should the Yeats see his anger, they’d probably be frightened to death.
"Dad, rest assured, I’ve already dealt with it." After speaking, he explained the outcome concerning the Yeats and the ones at school who bullied Serena Yeats.
Kian Keaton felt much relieved hearing that, and his look toward Elias was no longer unfriendly.
While Ruby Yates felt Elias looked better and better in every way, upon hearing how he protected her daughter, she was even more overjoyed.
This might be how a mother-in-law looks at her son-in-law, the more she looks, the more she likes.
She just wants her daughter to be alive, to live happily, nothing else matters.
Kian Keaton’s mindset changed at this moment too.
He knew clearly, if not for Elias Lancaster, his daughter would have been bullied to death and endured more hardship.
Thinking this way, he felt at ease mentally.
All right, married then married, as long as his daughter is happy, he will agree.
Immediately, Elias spoke sincerely.
"I also came today for a very important matter. I want to plan a beautiful wedding for Serena, and seek your approval for my marriage to Serena."
