Chapter 123: Chapter 123: Sense of Crisis
Ivana Monroe saw this, her fair cheeks slightly flushed. She was somewhat unaccustomed to his good attitude, even his words had become adorable.
If it were the past, Ivana Monroe would never have imagined Leon Keane saying such things like "You’re the patient, you’re right."
He had always been cold, domineering, and arrogant.
"If you don’t say, I’ll make the decision and go buy it."
Leon Keane reluctantly let go of her soft and smooth little hand, his tall figure stood up, gently moved the chair, and walked out of the hospital room quietly.
As Leon Keane walked out of the hospital lobby, his phone rang.
The caller ID showed it was the old estate’s number.
Leon Keane furrowed his brows. Why would the old estate call so late? Could it be something about Ian’s illness...
Leon Keane dared not think further, his slender fingers slid open to answer, and he put the phone to his ear, hearing Ian’s voice inside.
"Daddy, where are you now?"
"I’m outside, what’s up?"
He didn’t tell Ian Keane that he was at the hospital, worried Ian Keane might overthink.
"Nothing, hanging up." Ian Keane paused for a moment and hung up first.
Leon Keane found it bizarre. What was wrong with the child tonight? Just calling to ask him where he was?
This was not like Ian Keane’s style.
Ian Keane must have something else to tell him!
Leon Keane speculated in his heart, but Ivana Monroe was still in the hospital now, she had no one to care for her, and Timmy was still only a few years old. Both mother and child needed his care.
He thought that when Ivana was discharged from the hospital, he would return to the old estate to ask Ian Keane what exactly was going on.
The Kane family old estate.
Ian Keane returned to his room, sat in front of the computer, moved the mouse, the screen lit up, but the message sent was still not replied to, and the other party’s avatar showed offline.
Ian Keane pursed his pink thin lips, many thoughts flashed through his mind. Had Timmy ignored him because that woman took him out to play and hadn’t returned yet? Or was it because he bit his hand last time and hadn’t apologized yet?
Ian Keane thought of Ivana Monroe. When he was by her side, if he did something wrong, she would maintain a cold face, making him apologize, whereas Timmy, with that woman by his side, was educated very well.
But he himself did not have his mommy’s education, and grandma always sided with him, making him never wrong. Only when he was by that woman’s side, playing Timmy’s role, was he required to apologize.
Timmy must be very disappointed with him as his brother...
Ian Keane self-mockingly curled his thin lips. A child that even his mommy doesn’t want and cruelly abandons is destined not to be looked forward to.

The next day, the news of Ivana Monroe’s accident reached Ivy Linden’s ears.
Ivy Linden’s eyes turned red immediately, dragging Samuel Lockwood to the hospital to see Ivana Monroe.
"Mommy, Nicole wants to go to the hospital to see her big brother’s mommy too." The cute little girl ran out of the room, having overheard her mommy and daddy’s conversation.
"Sure, mommy will take you with her." Ivy Linden picked up the little girl, didn’t even take her bag, and first changed shoes, stepping out of the house.
Samuel Lockwood had no way to handle Ivy Linden, his head ached as he held his brow, blaming himself for not resisting and telling his little wife about Ivana Monroe’s accident?
The family of three arrived at the hospital. Ivy Linden suddenly realized they came empty-handed and asked Samuel Lockwood to buy some flowers, fruits, and more before coming back. Meanwhile, she took Nicole into the hospital, eager to see her idol goddess.
Ivy Linden brought Nicole to Ivana Monroe’s hospital room.
Inside the hospital room, a man sat by the bedside. Hearing the door, he turned his head, his extraordinarily handsome face exposed to Ivy Linden’s eyes.
Leon Keane?
Ivy Linden immediately recognized this man. Why was he here? Ivy Linden suddenly remembered Samuel Lockwood had mentioned that her idol goddess was Leon Keane’s companion. At the time, for this matter, she had a fight with Samuel Lockwood.
"Companion" in the eyes of high society men was mostly a derogatory term, a socialite accompanying men at various parties.
She did not believe Ivana Monroe was that kind of woman.
Now seeing Leon Keane, Ivy Linden still couldn’t believe it. She instinctively sided with Ivana Monroe, thinking Leon Keane, such a man, couldn’t possibly spend time accompanying a companion in hospital.
Leon Keane was special to Ivana Monroe; he was pursuing Ivana Monroe.
"Ivy, why are you here?" Ivana Monroe was very surprised to see Ivy Linden.
"I heard you were in a car accident. Are you alright?" Ivy Linden hugged Nicole and approached the hospital bed, seeing Ivana Monroe’s injured forehead, her eyes warmed, and tears unexpectedly rolled out.
"Auntie, you must get better soon! Otherwise, mommy will be very sad and uneasy, and Nicole will too!" The little girl’s long curly eyelashes resembling a doll, her watery big eyes looked at Ivana Monroe, extraordinarily adorable and well-behaved.
Is she Ivana’s friend?
Leon Keane turned to the side, giving Ivy Linden the space beside Ivana Monroe.
Seeing Ivy Linden crying, Ivana Monroe felt a bit overwhelmed: "Ivy, don’t cry. I’m fine, just a mild injury. See, I’m already better now."
Ivy Linden looked at Ivana Monroe’s forehead. The injury seemed serious, yet she said it was mild? It was hardly believable.
Ivana Monroe gently said to the little girl: "Alright, Auntie will listen to Nicole. Auntie will be discharged tomorrow!"
Her words were meant for Nicole and also for Ivy Linden.
Ivana Monroe knew Ivy Linden was very good to her, caring a lot for her. Because of this, she didn’t want Ivy Linden to be unhappy because of her.
Timmy Monroe came over, holding a tissue, extended his small hand to Ivy Linden: "Auntie, my mommy really is okay, thank you for your concern! Wipe your tears!"
The little boy said it, so it must be true. Ivy Linden accepted the tissue from Timmy Monroe, a bit embarrassed, and wiped her tears. Wondering if it was her illusion, the handsome little boy seemed less cold than before.
"Big brother, we meet again, hello!" Nicole, seeing the handsome little boy, her doll-like face was a bit shy, but she still mustered the courage to greet him because she really liked this big brother.
"Hello, little sister." Timmy Monroe didn’t recognize Nicole, but being smart as he was, he guessed the little girl must’ve mistaken him for Ian Keane.
"Ah~ Big brother greeted me, mommy, big brother greeted me..." Nicole’s cute little face was very excited, she shared this joy with Ivy Linden immediately.
Samuel Lockwood walked in with flowers and fruit and saw this scene. His little wife sat by Ivana Monroe’s bedside, his beloved daughter’s soul seemed bewitched by Ivana Monroe’s son. Because of the boy’s few words, she was excited and thrilled, and her tender little face was flushed when it shouldn’t be.
Samuel Lockwood suddenly felt a strong sense of crisis.
