Chapter 75: Chapter 75: What’s Wrong With You? Don’t Scare Me

Ivana Monroe burst into tears instantly, with torrents of tears flowing non-stop, trembling in Leon Keane’s arms.

No one knew how terrified she was when the clown caught her?

She forced herself to pretend to be calm, hoping to fight for a chance to live.

But unexpectedly, the staircase outside the clown’s door led to a dead end on the rooftop.

Luckily, luckily... Leon Keane came...

Ivana’s tear-streaked cheeks showed a hint of a smile. She wasn’t dead; she was still alive. She could see Timmy, see her grandpa. It was truly wonderful.

"Ivana, Ivana, what’s wrong?"

Leon saw her crying and laughing, very worried. He gently patted her cheek, "Ivana, what’s wrong with you? Don’t scare me."

Hearing his voice, Ivana slightly raised her head, her eyes shimmering with tears, and weakly smiled, whispering like a mosquito, "Thank you, Leon Keane."

After saying this, she fainted.

Leon froze, his heart pounding fiercely. Seeing her close her eyes, he panicked and madly shouted, picking her up, "120, call 120 quickly."

Derrick Stern was sweating, "I just called 120 for emergency help. The ambulance is on its way. President Kane, please calm down a little. Miss Monroe is probably severely shocked and has fainted; she will be fine."

He had never seen the President so irritable, crazy, and uncalm as today.

Just after Derrick finished, Leon shouted at him.

"You’re not a doctor. What do you know? If Ivana is delayed because of you, I’ll cut out your tongue."

Derrick was so scared he covered his mouth, nearly on the verge of tears. He only wanted to comfort the President a bit; who knew he would end up hurting himself?

Leon carried Ivana downstairs as the police rushed up.

"Who are you? Is this lady the kidnapped victim? Sir..."

The sharp-eyed police quickly saw how tense Leon was with the lady in his arms and immediately knew he wasn’t a kidnapper.

"Get out..."

Leon yelled at the police, trying to carry Ivana downstairs, but he was stopped.

"Officer, the kidnapper is upstairs. Don’t stop President Kane. The victim is Mrs. Kane. Please understand the family’s pain and anxiety right now."

Derrick spoke to the police at the bottom of the stairs.

Upon hearing that they were family and seeing Ivana had fainted, the police understood and made way. After capturing the clown, they said to Derrick.

"Sir, please come back to the police station with us to give a statement."

"Okay."

The ambulance arrived in about ten minutes.

Two paramedics carried the stretcher down, seeing Leon carrying Ivana, walking briskly towards the ambulance, without the intention of placing her on the stretcher.

One of the paramedics said, "Sir, please put the injured on the stretcher! It would be easier for us to administer emergency care."

Leon ignored the paramedics, carrying Ivana onto the ambulance.

The paramedics hurriedly lifted the stretcher up again, repeating their suggestion to Leon.

Leon shouted irritably at the paramedics, "She has a long cut on her back. How can I put her on the stretcher? Do you want her back wound to get infected?"

The paramedics shivered all over from Leon’s scolding, seeing his fingers supporting behind Ivana’s neck, tightly holding her waist while his long arms gently supported her half-covered back, preventing her back, where her clothes were cut in half, from being exposed.

One male paramedic wanted to suggest that they could place her on the stretcher and check how severe the wound on her back was.

Seeing Leon’s fiercely intimidating eyes, he dared not speak up, afraid Leon would beat him.

This man looked like someone you shouldn’t mess with.

Leon noticed the male paramedic staring at Ivana in his arms and shot him a fierce glare, "What are you staring at? Turn around."

The male paramedic was scared into turning away.

Leon addressed the female paramedic in the ambulance, "You, come here."

The female paramedic timidly approached, seeing Leon’s extraordinarily handsome, god-like face, but without any mood to admire him. The man’s temper was simply too explosive, too terrifying.

"Check her."

Leon said impolitely, and the female paramedic was frightened, immediately lowering her head and carefully examining Ivana.

VIP high-end ward.

Ivana woke up; it was already the evening.

"Awake? Hungry? What do you want to eat? I’ll go buy it for you."

Ivana was startled, seeing Leon sitting by the bedside. She remembered that Leon saved her on the rooftop.

Ivana propped herself up with both hands, trying to get up, but a burning pain shot through her back, making her frown.

"Don’t move. You have wounds on your back. The medicine was applied just a few hours ago, and the wounds haven’t healed properly yet. Moving around could tear the healing wounds."

Leon gently pressed her shoulder to stop her from moving.

"What would you like to eat? I’ll go buy it."

Ivana wanted to decline. She wasn’t used to Leon being so nice to her, but her stomach betrayed her thoughts with a loud growl.

"Just order a simple food delivery."

Leon nodded, took out his phone, but didn’t open the delivery app, instead dialing a number, "I need a dinner suitable for a patient."

Manager Hamilton, surprised, asked, "President Kane, may I ask what illness the patient has? Some nourishing food could be beneficial."

Leon: "Shocked, with wounds, that’s all."

After a pause, he also informed him of the hospital address.

**

Wellbright Kindergarten.

Derrick Stern looked at the stubborn little boy standing at the kindergarten gate with a Minion backpack... Timmy Monroe.

After making his statement at the police station, he soon received President Kane’s call, telling him to take young Timmy Monroe to the old house tonight because his mom, Ivana, was hospitalized and couldn’t take care of Timmy for the time being.

But no matter how he tried to persuade him, young master Timmy just wouldn’t listen!

"Timmy, why don’t you go with Uncle Derrick to President Kane’s old house? Tomorrow, Uncle Derrick will definitely bring you to see your mommy, okay?"

President Kane also instructed him not to tell Timmy about what happened to Ivana.

"No, I want to be with Mommy today."

"But, your mommy really has something to do today. She won’t be able to come today, and she let President Kane take care of you for another day. A smart and sensible child like you wouldn’t make things difficult for your mommy, right?"

"Wrong, you’re lying. If Mommy really said that, call her right now, and I want to hear it from her directly."

Derrick was so anxious he was about to sweat. This little boy’s mind was too sharp, not easy to fool at all!
