Chapter 84: Leon Keane’s Secrets

Chapter 84: Chapter 84: Leon Keane’s Secrets

Molly Mason wiped her hands on her pink T-shirt twice, then smiled and extended her hand to Ivana Monroe: "I really like little Timmy, it’s my honor to be his teacher."

Ivana extended her hand for a polite shake with Molly Mason, then released: "I will consider what Ms. Mason said, but I need to go back and discuss it with Timmy to see what he thinks before I can give her a reply."

Molly Mason nodded vigorously: "Respecting the child’s opinion is definitely necessary. Please rest assured, Timmy’s mom, once you entrust him to me, I won’t let him suffer any harm at school. This is my promise to you."

Molly Mason spoke with great confidence.

"Alright, thank you, Ms. Mason. I believe you’ll be an excellent teacher." Ivana admired Molly Mason for being such a responsible teacher and praised her generously.

Molly Mason laughed happily: "I surely will be."

Molly Mason watched Ivana and her son leave, happily making a victory gesture. Little Timmy Monroe was so handsome and adorable. The moment she saw him, she felt an impulse to bring him into her class.

She’s been worrying these days about how to bring up the topic of getting Timmy Monroe into her class, and now Robin Alden proactively made a way for her, which she accepted with joy.

Once Timmy Monroe is in her class, he’ll be her student. If Robin Alden dares bully Timmy for Franklin Young again, she won’t let Robin Alden off easily.

Ivana brought Ian Keane back home.

"Timmy, what do you want for dinner? Mommy will make it for you."

"Anything."

Ivana was slightly startled and couldn’t help but look at her son. The handsome little face showed no sign of a smile, and his voice sounded different than usual, as if there was a lot more distance between them.

"Timmy, what’s wrong?"

"Huh?" Ian Keane frowned. Seeing the strange look on Ivana’s face, he lowered his thick eyelashes: "Nothing’s wrong."

He raised his handsome little face again, forcing a stiff and unnatural smile at Ivana.

Ivana was stunned. If it weren’t for this face being identical to Timmy’s, she would have thought she brought the wrong child home.

Ivana shook her head; she was overthinking. Even leaves from the same tree aren’t exactly alike. She only gave birth to Timmy, not twins, so how could she be mistaken?

Ivana thought about how yesterday at the hospital, due to unforeseen circumstances, she didn’t have time to tell Timmy that Leon had got Derrick to take Timmy back to the old house, plus the events at school today. Feeling down was normal.

Ivana felt very guilty, took steak from the fridge, and made pan-fried steak for the little boy. She planned to take a day off tomorrow, Saturday, to bring him to the amusement park.

The Kane family’s old house.

"Doesn’t taste good. Doesn’t taste good. None of it tastes good."

Auntie Chamberlain would feed Timmy a bite, and he’d spit it out, his cool little head constantly shaking.

Auntie Chamberlain was sweating with anxiety. These exquisite dishes were all prepared by five-star chefs in the kitchen and hadn’t changed chefs. The taste was the same as usual. Why did young master Ian Keane suddenly find them not appetizing?

"Tastes awful." Timmy spat out another mouthful, and after nearly half an hour of fussing, he pointed at the table full of cold dishes: "Auntie Chamberlain, I order you to redo all these dishes. Don’t let the chef handle it; you have to personally redo them because I’m fed up with the chef’s cooking. I want to eat what you make."

Auntie Chamberlain’s eyes widened: "Redo all these dishes by myself?"

It would exhaust her to death!

Timmy nodded, looking at her coolly: "You unwilling?"

Auntie Chamberlain pulled out an expression uglier than crying: "Willing."

Auntie Chamberlain miserably took the cold dishes to the kitchen to redo them, and by the time she finished everything, almost three hours had passed. She was nearly exhausted, catching her breath, and told Timmy: "Young master Ian Keane, I have completed your mission. Everything is ready, you can eat now."

Timmy let out a burp: "You took too long, I’ve eaten snacks... and I’m full."

Seeing Auntie Chamberlain on the verge of fainting, Timmy felt very pleased and jumped off his chair, ran upstairs, and took off all his disguise in Ian’s room, dancing with joy.

Mean old woman, insulting his mommy? He won’t let her off for the next few days.

The next day.

Ivana was in the walk-in closet changing clothes when she noticed that medicine had been reapplied to her back.

Ivana was shocked. Yesterday, after Leon left, she took a bath. Who re-applied the medicine?

Stacy Floyd?

Impossible. She hadn’t told Stacy about her captivity by the mad killer, so Stacy didn’t know Ivana was injured.

Only Leon knew about the injury on her back.

Could it be that Leon came back and reapplied the medicine?

Ivana’s cheeks flushed, frowning slightly. Leon didn’t have the key to the security door. How had he gotten in later?

Ivana thought of a possibility: during her hospital stay, he took her key and made a new one outside.

She gasped, this man was really despicable, secretly doing such a thing?

Ivana wanted to laugh, thinking herself foolish for so easily giving herself to him yesterday, thinking they could walk away without owing each other. He clearly had a plan, and with a key already in hand, sleeping with her was only a matter of time.

Ivana hated being manipulated and had suffered enough from being calculated.

Ivana’s lips curled into a cold smile, and after Saturday and Sunday, she would confront Leon: either he gives her the key, or she moves out.

Kane Group.

Leon was in the CEO’s office and sneezed. His back felt cold, was someone secretly cursing him?

Someone knocked on the door.

"Come in," Leon said.

Derrick entered with documents, followed by Secretary Sullivan.

"President, this is the progress of the new project." The engineering data was promising, and Derrick had a pleased smile on his face after reviewing it.

Leon flipped through a few pages, his handsome face showing little expression. His dark eyes seemed to be reviewing the data, yet also seemed lost in thought.

Leon closed the document, seeing Derrick smiling foolishly, he frowned: "Why are you smiling foolishly?"

Derrick was startled, his smile quickly turning into a grimace. President, did you really look over the new project data?

This is not good, what’s wrong with the president? Seeing so much money flying into the pocket, shouldn’t his handsome face show some happiness?

"President, I wasn’t smiling foolishly, I was happy about the company’s prosperity."

Leon cast Derrick a sidelong glance.

"Wait a moment."

Derrick and Secretary Sullivan turned to leave, halted by Leon.

"President, is there anything else?"

"You two come over."

Derrick and Secretary Sullivan exchanged puzzled glances and sat across from Leon’s desk at his signal.

"I have a friend who acted impulsively last night and slept with his female companion. If you were the female companion, how would you react?"
