Chapter 89: Chapter 89: Idol Goddess
Lolita’s mom said to Bella Young, "I want to see if Ravenswood is your kingdom where you call the shots."
Bella trembled with anger, helping Franklin Young up, and fiercely said to Lolita’s mom, "Just you wait."
Franklin Young was beaten so badly that Bella had to take him to the hospital right away. The balloon ride was out of the question, and she’d make sure Ivana Monroe and her brat wouldn’t get to play either.
Bella told the dumbfounded staff, "As a VIP, I command you not to open the balloon ride to them four once I leave."
The staff hesitated, "The park does have a VIP lane, but there’s no rule saying that once a VIP leaves, regular visitors can’t use the rides."
Bella shouted at the staff venomously, "I say no, and that means no. I’m the VIP and I have the right to book the place. Today’s balloon ride, I’ve booked it entirely. Anyone can play, except those four brats."
The staff loathed Bella’s deliberately unreasonable behavior to the core but, as a regular worker, couldn’t afford to offend her; losing his job was always a risk.
Lolita’s mom took out four Golden Cards from her floral crossbody bag and tossed them onto Bella’s aggressive face, "A VIP, huh? I’ve got four of these. Want to book the place? You need to book a day in advance. Did you book yesterday? Pardon me for forgetting to mention that Nicole’s dad called yesterday to book the entire place for today. I made a call this morning to the park manager to say there’s no need to stop other visitors for us."
"Now I regret it. Allowing tasteless visitors like you in pollutes our eyes and ears. Staff, I now demand to enjoy the booking privilege and throw this nauseating woman and her violent son out."
As soon as Lolita’s mom finished speaking, applause erupted from the queue at the amusement park.
Nicely done.
Bella was stunned, staring at the four Golden Cards on the ground that were identical to the two she had and felt like she’d been slapped hard across the face several times. She bit her lip tightly.
The staff came to escort her, and she angrily said, "Don’t touch me. I’ll leave on my own."
Bella had lost face completely, embraced her son, and fled in disgrace.
She realized she was at a disadvantage against someone with Golden Cards, and since they’d booked the place yesterday, continuing to clash with Lolita’s mom would lead to utter defeat.
Bella left, and cheers erupted at the scene.
Little Lolita ran to her mom, her tender hands gently caressing her belly, "Mommy, he hit you so hard. Does it hurt?"
Seeing little Lolita so sweet and thoughtful, concerned for her, Lolita’s mom felt her heart melt, "It doesn’t hurt. Not a bit. A handsome little brother helped mommy chase away the bad kid, made his nose bleed. The one hurting should be the bad kid."
Little Lolita’s eyes were filled with tears, and she turned her small face to bow to Ian Keane, "Big brother, thank you for helping mommy chase away the bad kid."
Ian Keane, with an aloof expression, ignored little Lolita and turned to Ivana Monroe.
He glanced at Ivana’s belly. He hit Franklin Young not for Lolita’s mom but for this woman because Franklin Young had hit her.
Seeing her son with a cold expression, ignoring little Lolita’s gratitude without uttering a single word, Ivana hugged Ian and gently said to little Lolita, "Big brother received your thanks! Big brother also wants to thank you for standing up and speaking for him."
Little Lolita, being a child, felt disappointed when Ian ignored her. But upon hearing Ivana say this, her fair cheeks instantly bloomed with pinkish clouds.
Little Lolita shyly hid in her mom’s embrace.
Ivana, somewhat embarrassed, looked at Lolita’s mom. "Timmy" wasn’t usually like this; he was very polite. Maybe the events of the past few days have subtly changed his personality.
Ivana looked at Lolita’s mom with concern, "Are you really okay? How about I accompany you to the hospital for a check-up? That kid hit pretty hard; better to be safe."
Little Lolita immediately left her mom’s embrace as if afraid of hurting her, lifting her pitiful face to look at her mom.
Lolita’s mom shook her head, lovingly stroked little Lolita, and said to Ivana, "No need for the hospital. I’m really fine."
Lolita’s mom handed Ivana a business card, "Here’s my phone number. If that mother and son duo trouble you, call me. I’ll find a way to help you out."
Ivana saw the business card Lolita’s mom handed over, which read "Yiren Magazine," contact: Ivy Linden.
"Shouldn’t you be giving me your business card now?" Lolita’s mom said with a smiling gaze at Ivana.
Ivana, startled, put away Lolita’s mom’s card and gave one of her own.
"GK Trend Manager... Ivana Monroe." Ivy Linden was surprised, her eyes shining as she looked at Ivana, "You’re Ivana Monroe from GK Trend Manager. I absolutely adore your design style."
"Hm?" Ivana was puzzled; her designs hadn’t been placed at GK Trend yet. Ivy Linden’s words left her a bit confused.
Ivy Linden felt she was being too forward and was a bit flustered. She couldn’t outright say she was obsessed with Anne’s fashion designs from Olaris Fashion Week, always flying to Olaris to buy as soon as Anne’s new products were released, no matter the cost.
After learning Anne’s winter season pieces wouldn’t be at Olaris Fashion Week this time, Ivy was disappointed, crying into her husband’s arms for several nights. Her husband, unable to take it, secretly investigated Anne, only recently discovering Anne was the new GK Trend director.
Overcome with excitement upon hearing the news, Ivy rushed to GK Trend, hoping to meet her idol goddess. She couldn’t believe fate led her to encounter her idol here.
"I hope Yiren Magazine has the honor of showcasing GK Trend’s new designs." Fearing the truth would make Ivana dislike her, Ivy shifted the topic.
"You’re willing to collaborate with me?" Ivana was amazed. Yiren Magazine, a rising star among fashion weeklies, with GK Trend’s currently not-so-great reputation, she never thought they’d want to partner with GK.
That’s why Ivana hadn’t proactively given her card to Ivy.
"Of course, collaborating with you would be my honor. I’m just afraid you wouldn’t want to!" Ivy nearly burst with excitement, trying hard to control her emotions, ensuring she didn’t lose it before her goddess.
