Chapter 102: Chapter 102: Banquet Turmoil (Part 2)
"Leon, you promised me that on my coming-of-age ceremony, you would dance with me as my birthday gift. You can’t break your promise! I’ve returned from France now, and today I want to ask for this birthday gift from you."
Kiki Jennings was wearing a white puffy dress, and at eighteen, her face was full of collagen, every smile exuding the fragrance of youth. Her eyes, like stars, shone brightly as she looked at Leon Keane.
"Sorry, Kiki, I have a date..." Leon Keane instinctively refused, considering Ivana Monroe by his side.
But Kiki reached out, and at the moment she grabbed Leon’s arm, she shoved her way in, pushing Ivana to the back.
"Leon, I know you have a date, but that doesn’t affect me asking for my birthday gift. I’m sure Leon’s date is an understanding woman; she won’t mind me taking up a little of your time."
Kiki replaced Ivana’s position, holding Leon’s arm. She turned her head, lifted her chin arrogantly, her eyes still sparkling, but her disdainful gaze betrayed her.
"Don’t you agree?" Kiki’s voice was sweet, like an innocent girl who didn’t know the ways of the world.
Before Ivana could speak, Kiki cheerfully said to Leon, "She agreed, Leon."
Ivana frowned, when did she agree? Was this girl just making things up?
Leon was pulled away by Kiki. He kept looking back at her, seeing her indifferent expression. Leon’s heart turned cold, allowing Kiki to drag him onto the dance floor.
The dance floor was indoors, and soon the waltz music started playing.
Many people went inside to watch, but Ivana didn’t go in. Hearing the waltz, her mind flashed with the scene of Leon holding Kiki’s waist with one hand, their fingers intertwined.
Ivana felt a hint of suffocation in her heart, surprised at her own emotions.
She was just Leon’s date for this exchange, which would soon end. Why should she care about him dancing the waltz with another woman?
"Tsk, tsk, tsk... How pitiful, discarded by your patron so quickly?" Mr. Morris held a wine glass, looking mockingly at Ivana, as if watching a joke.
Since the last time Ivana went to "Ladies," after that incident, she felt her scalp tingle with discomfort whenever she saw Mr. Morris, only feeling nauseous inside.
She ignored the obese Mr. Morris and turned to leave.
"Don’t go!" Mr. Morris suddenly reached out to stop Ivana, giving her a lascivious smile, "Leon abandoned you, doesn’t want you. I can take you on!"
"I heard your company, GK, has been getting order cancellations from individual clients and even had to compensate them threefold. I guess GK will completely shut down in less than two months, right? As long as you serve me well, I can take over GK! Then GK can specialize in designing clothes for ladies, and I’ll leave GK under your management."
As Mr. Morris spoke, he pulled Ivana towards him, his obese body pressing closer, trying to squeeze against Ivana’s alluring curves and delicate figure.
"Mr. Morris, please show some respect and let me go."
Ivana’s face turned pale, struggling fiercely, trying to shake off his grip on her wrist.
"You’ve already sold yourself to Leon, who knows how many times he played with you in one night, and now you’re pretending to be virtuous with me?" Mr. Morris glared viciously at Ivana.
Fortunately, at this moment, everyone had gone inside to watch Leon and Kiki dance the waltz. No one else was here, only Mr. Morris and Ivana.
Feeling a bit lucky, Mr. Morris threatened Ivana, "If you scream one more time, I’ll rip your dress right now and let everyone see your dirty, filthy body."
Ivana’s high heel suddenly stomped hard on Mr. Morris’s instep.
"Ah~" Mr. Morris let out a pig-like scream, backhanding Ivana with a slap, "You damn sneaky little witch!"
Ivana’s pale cheek was knocked to the side, blood seeping from the corner of her mouth. She watched as Mr. Morris bent down, clutching his stomped foot, murmuring in pain, still cursing obscenities.
Ivana’s lips curled into a cold smile, inwardly cursing "serves you right," and she turned to run away.
Suddenly.
She collided into a hard, broad chest. Startled, she looked up to see it was Leon. She paused, and only then did she realize she had run towards the crowded dance floor.
Leon saw her cheek unnaturally red, blood trailing from her lips. His pupils contracted, and he gently stroked her slapped cheek, softly asking, "Does it hurt?"
Tears welled up in Ivana’s eyes without warning, and she pressed her red lips, shaking her head to him, then lowered her head, silently wiping her tears away.
"Don’t cry, I’ll get revenge for you."
Finished, Leon released Ivana, striding over to Mr. Morris.
"Was it you who hit my woman just now?" Leon exuded a chilling aura, asking domineeringly.
"No, no... No, Mr. Kane, you’ve misunderstood... How would I dare hit your woman? This is a misunderstanding... Ah~" Mr. Morris was extremely guilty, his guilt not hidden from Leon’s eyes.
Leon, in rage, punched Mr. Morris in the face. Mr. Morris let out a miserable wail as his fat body was knocked to the ground by Leon’s punch.
Leon squatted and fiercely punched Mr. Morris’s fat face several times, leaving him black and blue. Then he stood up and viciously kicked Mr. Morris below the belt.
"Ah~ Mr. Kane, please stop, if you keep hitting, I won’t be able to have children. I beg you, spare me! I won’t dare again..."
Mr. Morris curled on the ground, constantly screaming in pain, pleading.
A crowd gathered, dumbfounded, but none dared to step forward to stop Leon.
Mr. Morris was notoriously lecherous in the circle, always groping women he fancied.
How dare this lecherous pig target Leon’s date? Even if Leon left his date to dance the waltz with Kiki, Ivana was still brought by Leon, making her his date.
Coveting Ivana was equivalent to giving Leon a green hat. Was he courting death?
Ivana watched in shock at this scene. Leon said he’d get revenge for her, and indeed he did, using his fists in the most direct way to give Mr. Morris a bitter lesson.
"Seeing Leon fighting for you, are you proud?" Kiki appeared beside Ivana from nowhere, a dark gleam of disgust in her eyes towards Ivana, "Your actions will ruin Leon sooner or later."
"I didn’t ask Leon to fight," Ivana explained.
"Actions speak louder than words, don’t try to make excuses. If you hadn’t actively seduced that man, why would he harass you? Hit you?" Kiki sneered, "You did it to stop Leon from dancing with me, to bring him back to you. Don’t think I don’t know your motives? A scheming, hypocritical woman like you doesn’t deserve to be Leon’s date."
