Chapter 432: Chapter 432: Sir, I’m Not Sick
"Ivy, Ivy..."
Howard Yeats saw Ivy Linden suddenly faint and was startled. He picked her up horizontally and turned around to find a doctor.
Howard Yeats moved quickly.
Ivana Monroe ran after him.
"Doctor, quickly help me check her, what’s wrong?" Howard Yeats burst into the examination room, holding Ivy Linden.
"Get out... can’t you see there’s a patient here?" The doctor held a stethoscope, examining a patient, when Howard Yeats suddenly interrupted him.
"I called you over."
Howard Yeats’s face was cold, his almond-shaped eyes exuding danger.
"You..." The doctor wanted to scold Howard Yeats but, facing his dangerous eyes, trembled fiercely, as an invisible fear surged in his heart.
This man, had the demeanor of someone important.
Someone he couldn’t afford to offend.
"Howard... Yeats..." Ivy Linden woke up slowly, tugged on Howard Yeats’s sleeve, and struggled to get down: "I’m... okay."
"Don’t move." Howard Yeats tightened his arms, preventing her from getting down. Seeing her in such a weak state and still pretending to be strong, claiming she’s fine?
"You must see a doctor." Howard Yeats said to Ivy Linden.
Ivana Monroe ran in, looking at Ivy now, she was truly worried, and seeing the doctor and the patient in front of the doctor, Howard Yeats cutting in was indeed not good.
"I’m sorry, my sister is sick."
Ivana Monroe took out two thousand cash from her pocket and politely placed it in front of the patient.
The patient, a big sister, saw it and her eyes lit up instantly: "No problem, no problem, I’m not in a hurry, your sister is urgent... let her see first, I’ll give her my spot."
Ivana Monroe: "Thank you, thank you."
Doctor: "..."
Howard Yeats glanced at Ivana Monroe, indeed the woman Leon Keane chose, her style of doing things is very similar to Leon’s!
He liked it!
Howard Yeats carried Ivy Linden to the doctor.
The doctor blushed.
Oh dear!
Are you here to see a doctor or to show off your love?
Can’t you put the patient on the chair? Must you hold her like this? Who are you feeding your display of affection?
"Cough cough."
The doctor coughed twice.
Howard Yeats frowned: "You have a cold? Go find another healthy doctor then."
The doctor’s mouth twitched, who has a cold? Who is sick?
This man, his comprehension is terrible.
Ivy Linden reacted, blushing, "Howard Yeats, let me go, I can sit on the chair, how can the doctor examine me with you holding me like this?"
Howard Yeats saw Ivy Linden blushing like a peach blossom, his heart raced, unwilling to let her go, he said seriously: "He’s a doctor, he should have professional conduct, plus the hospital sees all sorts of patients, ones carried by family aren’t uncommon, he’s used to it."
Ivy Linden: "..." Utter nonsense.
Howard Yeats said again to the doctor: "Why aren’t you calling another healthy doctor over?"
The doctor was embarrassed to death: "Sir, I’m not sick..."
Howard Yeats: "Not sick, why aren’t you examining her?"
Doctor: "..."
The doctor did a simple check-up on Ivy Linden, saying: "Her body shouldn’t have any major issues, but if you’re concerned, you could do a more thorough examination."
Howard Yeats looked at the doctor as if looking at a quack.
Howard Yeats picked up Ivy Linden: "Let’s go for a detailed examination."
This doctor is unreliable.
Ivy Linden’s face felt like it was on fire.
She suddenly pushed Howard Yeats away, got down from his embrace, and ran to Ivana Monroe’s side: "Howard Yeats, don’t come over, my body is fine. Ivana... take me home."
Howard Yeats felt stung, am I such a threat? Why are you guarding against me like this? Why ask Ivana to take you home? Ivana’s place was given by Leon Keane.
Ivy Linden should come home with him!
"Hmm."
Ivana Monroe wrapped her arm around Ivy Linden’s arm, essentially supporting her, as Ivy’s complexion wasn’t looking good at all, naturally Ivana wanted to take care of her.
"Howard Yeats... you send us home!"
Howard Yeats looked at Ivana Monroe... that expression seemed to say, Ivy Linden is mine, shouldn’t you return her to me?
"What? Do you want me to call Leon Keane? Let him come pick us up?"
"Haha! Dear sister-in-law, I didn’t mean that, I’ll send you home right away."
Last time he came to see Ivana Monroe, Leon already knew and called to sternly warn him not to run over again for Ivy Linden’s matters.
If Ivana calls Leon over, Leon would beat him up.
Howard Yeats drove, on the way sending Ivana Monroe and Ivy Linden home, telling humorous jokes, but the two women in the back seat didn’t laugh once.
Howard Yeats felt awkward, dear sister-in-law... at least play along and laugh a little!
Ivana Monroe had absolutely no mood to laugh, she held Ivy Linden’s hand, seeing Ivy’s dazed expression, her heart ached terribly.
This kind of thing, for Ivy, is a fatal blow.
Ivana Monroe couldn’t comfort her, because she had also experienced this, in such situations, anyone’s comfort feels pale and powerless, only time can fade everything.
Ivy must walk out of it herself.
All she could do was stand by Ivy’s side and give her support and strength.
Howard Yeats drove into Ivana Monroe’s villa.
He initially wanted to stay longer with Ivy Linden, seeing Leon Keane’s silver Bugatti Veyron used for work, he shrunk his neck and could only ask Ivana Monroe: "Dear sister-in-law... can I trouble you with Ivy?"
Ivana Monroe rolled her eyes at Howard Yeats, ignoring him, and hugged Ivy Linden into the villa.
Who are you to Ivy? Did you need to say this?
Taking care of Ivy is her responsibility.
Leon Keane heard the car drive back, he got up from the high-class fabric sofa, his handsome face cold, walked to the door, saw Howard Yeats’s luxury car running like a thief, he scoffed.
"Leon... Ivy she..."
Ivana Monroe didn’t expect Leon Keane to come back so quickly, her eyes flickered with a bit of guilt, she had promised Leon Keane something and forgot again.
The matter came too abruptly, she couldn’t afford to think too much.
"Ivana, I won’t stay at your place, I have somewhere to live." Ivy Linden suddenly spoke, she said at the hospital not wanting Howard Yeats to bother her, now Howard Yeats left, it wouldn’t cause her trouble.
"Ivy, you said I’m your sister, a sister’s home is your home, let me take care of you for this period, okay?" Ivana Monroe guessed Ivy Linden’s thoughts, she said to go home with her to avoid Howard Yeats.
But in Ivy’s current state, living alone outside, she felt uneasy.
Ivy Linden’s nose tingled, tears fell.
She never had any real siblings, before suffering grievances at the Lockwood family, not daring to tell her parents, nor did she have a caring sister to comfort her.
