Chapter 443: Chapter 443: Only Willing to Hear Lies
"Doctor, call a doctor quickly."
Wendy Quinn said, enduring the pain.
At this moment, she suddenly became afraid. She had been in the hospital for the past few days receiving nutrients to protect the pregnancy, but the condition of the fetus was not promising. She truly regretted it. Why did she have to get angry?
Getting angry with a bitch like Ivy Linden wasn’t worth it at all.
The maid dispatched by Mrs. Lockwood to take care of Wendy noticed something was wrong with Wendy’s expression. She immediately ran out and shouted loudly, "Doctor, where’s the doctor? Come quickly! Something’s wrong."
The nurse came running over, "What happened?"
The maid saw it was a young nurse and sneered, "You’re just a nurse; can you really treat patients? Stop pretending. Go call a doctor. Any accident with our future little master is not something a little nurse like you can handle."
The nurse widened her eyes.
What nerve?
She’s just a maid and looks down on her? At least her profession is more respectable than this maid’s, right?
Really like a dog that’s used to being a dog and can’t be a human.
A life is at stake!
The nurse didn’t bother arguing with the maid and ran to get the doctor.
The doctor came and checked, saying, "The child can’t be kept. We should proceed with surgery to remove it!"
Wendy’s face turned ashen, and she cursed, "Are you sick or what? Trying to harm my baby? I’ll sue you, get you in jail, you murderer, bastard."
The maid chimed in, "Yes, murdering our future little master. You can’t afford the cost even with your life."
The doctor’s face darkened, "Patient and family, I urge you to be rational. The child was already developing abnormally, and if it’s born, it might be deformed, especially after the external impact..."
"Shut up... you incompetent doctor, just shut up..."
Not waiting for the doctor to finish, Wendy pointed at the doctor, screaming ferociously, "Get out... you quack... get out, call Director Mccoy."
"Our future young madam is telling you to leave, didn’t you hear?" The maid, acting like a tyrant, picked something up and threw it at the doctor’s head. Her arrogant demeanor was disgusting.
Anyway, the Lockwood family has plenty of money. Even if she injures this doctor, Mrs. Lockwood will smooth things out for her, because she’s protecting the future young madam and the future little master of the Lockwood family.
"Lunatic."
The doctor dodged, avoiding being hit by the maid, and ran out of the ward.
"If you like that Xavier, go find him. Insulting me as a quack? Xavier’s the quack. Sucking up to the Lockwood family, using special drugs to protect a deformed fetus, it’s completely unethical."
"Who the hell do you say is unethical?" Xavier Mccoy, hearing the commotion from Wendy’s ward, strode over just in time to hear the doctor’s words, his expression darkened, "Jeremy Hawkins, you better clarify yourself. Who the hell are you talking about?"
Jeremy Hawkins saw Xavier Mccoy’s confrontational stance, and snorted, "What? Afraid of being called out now?"
Xavier Mccoy threatened, "You’re looking for death."
Jeremy Hawkins: "Wanna fight me? Bring it on! I’ve got all the time, but... do you think the Lockwood family daughter-in-law knows about her deformed fetus? Can she afford to wait?"
Xavier Mccoy gritted his teeth in rage, "Jeremy Hawkins, mark my words. One day, when I become the deputy director, I’ll make sure you pay dearly."
Jeremy Hawkins: "I look forward to that day."
Xavier Mccoy shook with anger, then approached Wendy’s ward with a changed expression, switching to a pleasing smile, "Young madam Lockwood, don’t worry, stay relaxed. I will help you keep the child. What you need to do is to calm down, because the more tense you are, the more harmful it is to the child."
Wendy, hearing Xavier’s words, gradually relaxed.
After examining her, Xavier injected a new round of protective medicine, smiling as he told her, "It’s okay. The child was just frightened. Once this bottle of medicine is finished, everything will be fine."
Wendy looked at Xavier gratefully, "Director Mccoy, you’re the competent one. Unlike those quacks who can’t protect my child and still have the gall to curse my child as deformed, they truly have venomous intentions. Did they take Ivy Linden’s bribes or something?"
The maid said, "It must be that way. Ivy Linden, that barren hen, is just jealous that you’re pregnant with the Lockwood family’s little master and so did some underhanded things behind our back to harm our little master."
Seeing Wendy and the maid echoing each other, Xavier’s eyes flickered with guilt.
Mrs. Lockwood promised him that as long as he helped deliver this "grandson," Samuel Lockwood would use his connections to help him to the deputy director’s position. He had to seize this opportunity.
As for the fact that Wendy’s child is "deformed," that cannot be blamed on him. She’s the one who refuses to listen to the truth and only wants to hear falsehoods.
Besides, he only promised Mrs. Lockwood to do his utmost to keep the child, not to deliver a normal healthy child!

Samuel Lockwood drove to the location sent by the tailing person, which was outside a large shopping mall. He looked around but didn’t see Ivy Linden.
The tailing person ran over, "President Lockwood."
Samuel impatiently asked, "Where is she?"
The tailing person pointed to a luxury car parked in front of a milk tea shop.
The luxury car had tinted windows, so one could see out but not in.
Samuel, with a cold expression, strode over and forcefully tried to open the car door, but it wouldn’t budge.
"Ivy Linden, come out."
Failing to open the door, Samuel banged on the car window.
There was no response from inside the car.
"Not coming out? Pretending, huh?" Samuel’s face darkened. He stepped back a few paces and suddenly kicked the car door hard.
Old Stuart, carrying a few freshly made milk teas, hurried over to stop Samuel, "What’s your grudge against this car? Why are you kicking it so crazily?"
Samuel grabbed Old Stuart by the collar, aggressively saying, "Open the door and let my wife out, or I’ll kill you."
"There’s no one in the car. It was my young madam who sent me out to buy milk tea."
Old Stuart was furious, but this wasn’t the villa, and there were no bodyguards. Samuel was young and strong, while he was middle-aged, nearing old age, definitely no match for Samuel.
"Open it."
Samuel didn’t believe it and yelled at Old Stuart.
Seeing the milk tea in Old Stuart’s hand as an eyesore, he directly swung his hand, sending the milk teas flying.
The milk tea had lids. Luckily, it wasn’t freshly boiled hot water. Old Stuart’s hand was scalded, turning red, but no blisters formed.
Old Stuart opened the car.
Samuel leaned in, finding it empty, with no one inside.
Samuel was so angry he could bust a vein, letting go of Old Stuart, and before leaving, grimly said, "Deliver a message to Ivana Monroe, tell her to mind her own business, or I won’t spare her. Even if she’s Leon Keane’s woman, I won’t go easy on her."
