Chapter 416: Learning to Swim

Chapter 416: Chapter 416: Learning to Swim

Ivana Monroe was shocked. Is Leon Keane really Ian’s biological dad? Forcing the child to learn swimming in such a cruel way?

If something happens, the consequences could be unimaginable.

Seeing Ian Keane’s aggrieved expression, Ivana Monroe’s heart ached terribly.

Ivana Monroe glared fiercely at Leon Keane: "You’re too cruel. From now on, you shouldn’t be the one teaching Ian to swim... not just swimming, anything that poses even the slightest danger. You can leave those to me to teach Ian."

Leon Keane: "..."

Ian Keane nestled his small face in Ivana Monroe’s embrace, feeling the warmth and protection from his mother, his eyes shining like stars filled with sweetness.

Timmy Monroe had changed into his swim trunks, wrapped in a long lightweight down jacket reaching his ankles, and ran to the poolside, calling out to Ian Keane: "Brother, brother, hurry, Timmy is going to dive and splash waves."

Ian Keane poked his little head out from Ivana Monroe’s embrace.

Ivana Monroe smiled and patted his head: "Go on!"

Ian Keane hesitated for two seconds, then suddenly raised his head and asked Ivana Monroe: "Mommy, tonight, after my brother sleeps, can you teach me how to splash waves?"

Ivana Monroe was startled, after Timmy sleeps? How late would that be?

She didn’t mind, but Ian was only six years old; staying up late could affect his growth and development.

Seeing Ivana Monroe’s reluctance to agree, Ian Keane’s eyes flashed with disappointment.

Leon Keane said: "I’ll go put Timmy to bed at eight. It’s fine if Ian goes to bed by nine."

Ian Keane’s long eyelashes trembled. Mommy wasn’t unwilling to teach him to swim at night; she was worried he wouldn’t get enough sleep?

Thinking about it, warmth surged through Ian Keane’s heart.

Ian Keane nodded vigorously: "Yes, yes, Dad is right, nine is still early. Dad said as long as it’s not past midnight, it’s not too late."

"Cough cough~"

Leon Keane cleared his throat twice.

Alright, son, you can stop talking now.

Ivana Monroe opposed Leon Keane’s education methods for their son. She said angrily: "Midnight is not late for him, but it’s very late for you. Children must have ten hours of sleep every day, so Ian should go to bed before nine every night! Because, during sleep, there is a period of shallow sleep, and it usually takes half an hour to reach deep sleep."

"Children with enough sleep have better skin, grow taller, and will become adorable little handsome boys. Kids who don’t sleep enough have poor skin, don’t grow tall, and the rest, I won’t say. Ian understands, right?"

Ian Keane, seemingly frightened, nodded: "Ian promises to go to bed early every day and must sleep ten hours daily."

He doesn’t want to turn into an ugly kid; he wants to become an adorable little handsome boy that everyone loves.

Mommy sees him and finds him pleasing to the eye.

Though Ian Keane is young, his looks have long made him aware of the difference between handsome and ugly. Every time he passes through airports, he attracts crowds of aunties, young ladies, and kids to watch. Even at school, teachers often look at him with undisguised affection and praise, and girls in his class often sneak peeks at him during lessons.

Ian Keane is tired of being watched, while those plain-looking boys don’t receive extra glances from teachers or girls, and when boys try to play with girls, they get rejected.

Ian Keane shuddered; he doesn’t want to become ugly. He wants to stay handsome forever.

Timmy Monroe jumped into the water, splashing waves in the pool, and those snow-white transparent waves looked absolutely cool.

Timmy Monroe demonstrated several swimming styles in the water, all extremely cool except the dog paddle.

Ian Keane watched by the pool, wide-eyed and slack-jawed; he really wanted to swim with his brother!

Thinking about his inability to swim and the potential embarrassment after entering the water, he pursed his lips and suppressed his impulsive desire.

He doesn’t want to embarrass himself in front of his brother.

Mommy will teach him to swim tonight; he must strive to learn from mommy so he can someday splash waves and look cool like his brother.

Timmy Monroe swam in the water for a full two hours.

Strangely enough, he didn’t feel tired after swimming for two hours, while normally he would feel exhausted swimming over an hour at a swimming center. Does Dad’s pool have better water than the swimming center?

Without a doubt!

Surely Dad’s pool is the best purchase.

After dinner, eight o’clock came quickly.

Leon Keane took Timmy Monroe to bed, and Timmy, without second thoughts, followed him.

As soon as Timmy left.

Ian Keane’s calmly composed face could no longer hide his excitement; he had been holding back all day.

"Mommy, let’s go swimming."

Ian Keane excitedly took Ivana Monroe’s hand.

"Alright."

Ivana Monroe smiled, feeling particularly pleased holding Ian Keane’s soft little hand.

The changing room at the pool.

Women’s, men’s, and children’s swimwear were separately stored in designated wardrobes.

Ian Keane went to the children’s swimwear section, casually grabbed one, and walked into the men’s changing room.

Ivana Monroe stood stiffly at the women’s swimwear section, her fingers on a women’s swimsuit, feeling a bit awkward.

Because none of the women’s swimsuits were conservative; they were all the latest styles designed to fully showcase the female figure.

Leon Keane... that shameless guy.

Ivana Monroe silently cursed Leon Keane multiple times, then chose a relatively better swimsuit and went into the women’s changing room to put it on.

Stepping out of the women’s changing room, Ian Keane had already changed into his swim trunks. Seeing Ivana Monroe, he raised his little face, showing his snow-white teeth, and smiled happily: "Mommy, let’s go swimming."

A child is just a child, with pure thoughts lacking the adult complexity and dirtiness.

He said "let’s go swimming" twice, showing his yearning for swimming.

As Ivana Monroe walked out of the changing room, she glanced at the floor-to-ceiling mirror outside the dressing area. Seeing her curvy figure reflected, a red blush swept across her cheeks.

Luckily, Leon Keane went to put Timmy to sleep.

Otherwise, she really wouldn’t dare to wear this swimsuit.

Ivana Monroe and Ian Keane arrived at the pool; she noticed the child was a bit afraid of the water. When he stretched his foot to step into the water, Ian Keane hesitated for a few seconds.

In the pool, the water reached his small chest, Ian Keane’s tense little face tightened, and his small hand clutched her arm tightly.

Ivana Monroe realized he was restraining himself, suppressing his fear of the water, fighting the urge to cling to her for safety.

Seeing this, Ivana Monroe thought the child must have been terrified when Leon Keane had thrown him into the center of the pool, resulting in his fear upon entering the water.

Ivana Monroe felt a pang of affection, cursing Leon Keane silently several times.

She gently held the little boy’s waist and spoke softly: "Ian, don’t be afraid, mommy is right beside you and won’t let anything dangerous happen to you."

The little boy looked at Ivana Monroe with trusting eyes, but there was still fear in them.

Ivana Monroe wielded her love: "If you trust mommy, just surrender yourself to mommy completely. Mommy promises you’ll learn to swim. What do you think?"
