Chapter 325: Chapter 325: Let Go of Ivy, She Has a Husband
Ivy Linden saw Ivana Monroe lying on the hospital bed. She cried out of heartbreak, and when she arrived at Mount Cygnus Hospital, Howard Yeats told her everything that had happened to Ivana.
Ivy was furious.
How could there be someone as bad and vicious as Shelton Hale in this world?
Howard Yeats took the opportunity to show off a bit and told Ivy that he had already avenged Ivana by beating Shelton Hale until his face was swollen like a pig’s head, even kicking his nose crooked.
Ivy praised Howard Yeats for a job well done.
Ivy walked to the side of Ivana’s hospital bed, gently lifted the white hospital blanket, and saw Ivana’s ankle wrapped in white bandages. She covered her mouth, tears flowing uncontrollably.
"Ivy, don’t cry, I’m fine."
Ivana felt a bit at a loss seeing Ivy crying.
"You always say you’re fine, but look at how badly you’re hurt!"
"..."
Faced with Ivy’s worried reprimand, Ivana didn’t know what to say.
At this moment.
The door to the ward was pushed open.
Leon Keane walked in and saw his brother Howard Yeats, along with Ivy standing by Ivana’s bed crying.
Leon Keane felt a bit uncomfortable inside.
He disliked women who cried for no reason, as if something terrible had happened to Ivana.
Indeed, what happened to Ivana was a big deal.
However, Leon didn’t want to admit it; he hoped Ivana would recover quickly.
"Howard, take your woman outside to cry."
Leon unceremoniously asked them to leave.
"..." Ivana.
"I’m not his..." Ivy.
"Alright, I’ll take my woman out now," Howard interrupted Ivy, reaching out to wrap an arm around her shoulder.
Ivy wanted to shake it off.
Howard’s arm curled tightly, and Ivy couldn’t break free.
"Howard Yeats... let go of me..."
Howard forcibly hugged Ivy, lowering his voice at her ear, "I’d advise you to behave yourself, or I’ll kiss you in front of everyone."
Ivy’s face turned bright red.
Ivana saw Ivy being "bullied" by Howard.
She frowned and said, "Let go of Ivy, she has a husband."
Seeing Ivana angry and defend Ivy, Howard raised an eyebrow and released Ivy.
For Leon’s sake, he wouldn’t offend Ivana.
Ivana glared at Leon: "If you talk nonsense again, I’ll divorce you."
A threat.
A naked threat.
Leon felt the pressure drop instantly, and about three seconds later, he returned to normal and conceded, "Alright, I was wrong, I won’t talk nonsense next time."
Leon pretended to address Howard Yeats again, "Ivy is already spoken for, don’t shamelessly try to become the male mistress."
Howard’s mouth twitched fiercely.
What the hell!
He was shameless?
Was he the male mistress?
Leon was really out of line, forgetting his brother after having a woman.
"Leon... you..."
"I’m serious." Leon waved them off again, "My wife needs rest, you all should leave now! It’s enough with me here, if there’s nothing wrong, don’t disturb her."
"The patient needs peace."
Leon repeated "my wife" over and over, making Ivana’s cheeks flush red.
What else could Howard say?
Howard took a glance at Ivy and was the first to walk out of Ivana’s hospital room.
Ivy dawdled in the ward for a moment, wanting to wait until Howard left and then come out so she wouldn’t run into him.
Unfortunately, the idea was too naive.
As soon as Ivy came out, she saw Howard.
She turned around, wanting to escape back into the ward and tell Ivana to have Leon send a bodyguard at the door to take her home.
Howard took a quick step and grabbed Ivy’s wrist. Seeing her open her mouth to call out, he quickly covered it with his other hand.
The bodyguard at the door: "..."
Howard quietly warned, "If you two dare to report, I’ll break your legs."
Bodyguard: Mr. Yeats, we wouldn’t dare.
Ivy was dragged away by Howard forcefully. She was so anxious that tears fell quickly, and she suddenly bit down hard on the palm of Howard’s hand.
"Ah~"
Howard cried out in pain, releasing Ivy’s mouth, and upon seeing the blood on his palm, his mouth twitched, and he cursed, "Are you a dog?"
"Help..." me.
Howard’s eyelids twitched fiercely. He endured the pain and covered her mouth again.
"Don’t shout, I won’t do anything to you. Do you want to personally avenge Ivana? I know some insider information."
Ivy stopped shouting, looking at Howard with tearful eyes.
Howard’s heart was moved; this woman’s teary look was unbelievably heart-wrenching.
Ivy removed Howard’s hand: "What insider information?"
Howard gathered his thoughts and said, "Do you know why Shelton Hale attacked Ivana?"
Ivy shook her head.
Howard continued, "It’s because of a woman named Julia Sinclair."
"Julia Sinclair? Why would she want to go after Ivana? Did Ivana offend her somehow?"
"She’s a high school classmate of Leon’s who once had a crush on him, viewing him as her future husband. Later, Julia went abroad to become a doctor, but she never forgot about Leon, so she sees Ivana as a rival."
This was information Howard had found out yesterday, and he hadn’t told Leon but chose to tell Ivy first.
"Ivana and Leon are already married. What right does she have to see Ivana as a rival?" Ivy was furious.
Just because they were married doesn’t mean she couldn’t be considered a rival?
He currently viewed Samuel as a rival.
"You’re right. So, do you want to help Ivana take revenge?"
Ivy nodded forcefully; she wanted revenge.
But...
Ivy hesitated because Howard seemed to want to take her to fight someone.
Ivy didn’t have the courage to beat someone to a pulp, at most, she could slap the person twice in the face, but that seemed too lenient for Julia.
Ivy thought about calling the police.
"Howard, let’s call the police!"
Howard was taken aback.
"Calling the police won’t help. Shelton Hale is willing to break the law for Julia; he’ll take the fall for her."
Ivy was deeply resentful.
"I’ll take you to beat her up. Don’t be afraid; I’ll back you up. No matter what happens, I’ve got you covered. Just go ahead and hit her. If you can beat her to death, I’ll applaud you."
"..." Ivy was speechless.
Howard took Ivy to Julia Sinclair’s ward.
A pale-faced, sickly young man sat by Julia’s hospital bed.
"Who are you?"
Kyle Sinclair saw a man and a woman, two strangers, and asked warily.
"Get lost."
Howard didn’t take this sickly guy seriously.
Kyle sensed something was off: "Get out, or I’ll call someone."
Howard stepped forward, grabbed Kyle’s hand, and twisted it backward harshly. Kyle screamed in agony, his voice almost escaping from his throat. Howard somehow produced a piece of medicated tape and sealed Kyle’s mouth with it.
"Let go of my brother."
