“But she proposed contracting for one hundred years.”
“That’s her smokescreen. Contracting for a hundred years, does she expect to live a hundred years?” Secretary Quan said: “Therefore, her ability to go in and come out implies Ghost Valley isn’t dangerous, or at least it was dangerous before, but now, the dangerous elements have likely disappeared. So, I suggest I lead a team to explore Ghost Valley.”
Captain Ma quickly interjected: “How can we let you take that risk? It’s better if I lead the team.”
Secretary Quan looked at him intently: “That won’t do. Since it was my suggestion, naturally I should lead the team. The place might still be dangerous, how could we let you go?”
After saying this, Captain Ma was even more intent on going.
