Chapter 71: Master Forgot the Recruits Again

Chapter 71: Master Forgot the Recruits Again

Dahlia soon entered her room and looked around again. Even after three months of living here, she still wasn’t quite used to it.

The clean white walls, the strange light that didn’t use candles, and the glass doors leading to the bathroom.

It all felt more like something from another world. Even the furniture looked too smooth and perfect for her.

"No matter how many times I look at it, it still doesn’t feel like something from this world."

Her gaze drifted toward the bathroom.

Even after all this time, the shower and toilet still confused her.

When she arrived, she had accidentally turned on the shower while still dressed and screamed, thinking it was some trap.

It took nearly a month for her to finally learn how to use everything.

"Master must not really be a human from this world. He must be some kind of God reincarnation or something like that."

Still, she couldn’t deny that she liked the convenience of this furniture.

Dahlia stepped into the bathroom, glancing at the small instruction posted on the wall.

’Turn the handle to the right for cold water, left for hot water. Don’t punch it!’

She smiled slightly.

"As if I’d punch it again..."

She turned the handle, and warm water flowed instantly from the shower head, filling the small room with steam.

Dahlua closed her eyes and let the warm water soak her body.

"Ahh... it really feels good every time I take this warm shower. But still, how can water come out this fast without any formation runes?"

After washing up and drying herself, she stepped out, wrapping a towel around her hair.

She walked to the wardrobe and opened it, revealing the outfit Garion had told her about that was exactly like this.

Dahlia held them up, frowning instantly.

"It’s really thin..."

She pouted slightly, grumbling under her breath.

"I thought the tight combat suit I wore during the tournament was already embarrassing enough."

She looked at the training clothes again.

"And now I have to wear this? Just for training?"

Still, she knew Garion wouldn’t stop pestering her if she refused. With a sigh, she began to wear it.

The fabric was soft and strangely cold against her skin. When she moved her arms and legs, they stretched easily without pulling or sticking.

She looked at herself in the mirror and blinked.

"It actually fits perfectly... and also quite comfortable, the same as the combat suit, but still..."

Her cheeks turned red in an instant.

"It’s still a bit too revealing. Just what is Master thinking?"

She quickly grabbed the thin jacket and slipped it on, zipping it up halfway.

"At least I got this jacket, making me feel a bit less exposed."

She took a deep breath, brushed her hair back, and gave her reflection a final look.

"Alright. Let’s just get this over with."

With that, Dahlia stepped out of her room, clean and refreshed, and dressed like a gym member.

---

Garion was waiting for Dahlia, and when he looked at her current appearance, his grin widened.

Dahlia stood before him in her new training suit.

She still looked a little uncomfortable with her cheeks faintly red, but she held her chin high as if daring anyone to comment on her.

"Well? Are you satisfied now, huh, Master?"

Garion crossed his arms, eyes glinting with amusement.

"Told you it’d be better once you wore it."

Dahlia rolled her eyes.

"Yeah, fine. It’s light and easy to move. But if anyone gives me a perverted look, I’m blaming you when I crush them."

Garion burst into laughter.

"Haha, sure. But honestly, I doubt anyone would dare. You look like you’d punch their souls out of their bodies before they could blink."

Dahlia smirked proudly.

"Good. I’d hate to ruin the new floor."

Garion chuckled again, clearly enjoying her attitude.

But before he could tease her more, Dahlia suddenly remembered something.

"Right, Master. What about the people that the elder brought in today?"

Garion blinked, confused. "People?"

Dahlia’s eyes widened.

"Don’t tell me you forgot? Today’s the day the elder brings in new recruits! It’s already been three months!"

Garion froze for a second, then rubbed the back of his head, laughing awkwardly.

"Oh, right... that was today, huh? Guess I lost track of time."

"Lost track of time?" Dahlia groaned, covering her face with one hand.

"You’ve been cultivating so long you probably forgot the sun exists."

Garion grinned sheepishly.

"Well, I did reach the second realm, so.. I’d say it was time well spent."

Dahlia sighed. "Unbelievable."

Garion clapped his hand once.

"Alright, no time to waste then. Let’s go meet our guest, shall we?"

As they started to walk toward the main entrance, Dahlia suddenly stopped and turned to him.

A mischievous grin appeared on her face.

"Master... Let me handle the first test."

Garion raised an eyebrow.

"Oh? Feeling confident, huh?"

She smirked, cracking her knuckles.

"After all the hellish training you have put me through, I deserve to have some fun."

Garion chuckled, eyes glinting with interest.

"Fine, go ahead. I’ll just watch and see what kind of test you have in mind."

Dahlia nodded, excitement flashing across her face.

"This will be fun."

Garion laughed softly as they reached the large doors.

"Just don’t break too many bones before they even sign up."

Dahlia only grinned as she pushed the door open and replied.

"No promises."

But then, as she stepped outside, she paused and frowned slightly.

"Wait, Master... shouldn’t they be at the shore?"

Garion glanced at her.

"Yeah, probably."

She crossed her arms.

"Then how will they even find this place? It’s not even in the outpost location the elder told us about a few days ago."

Garion smiled calmly, his smirk returning.

"Don’t worry about that. We’re not holding the test here anyway."

Dahlia blinked. "We’re not?"

He shook his head.

"Nope. We’ll go to them. The elder is probably already on his way."

Dahlia tilted her head.

"Then how many people are we going to accept today?"

Garion stretched his arms lazily.

"Only a hundred. That’s the limit for outer disciples for now."

She blinked again, surprised.

"Only a hundred? That’s kind... of little for a sect."

Garion chuckled.

"Quality over quantity. Besides, it’s easier to manage that way."

Dahlia nodded slowly, still curious.

"Fair enough. But, Master... how are we going to get there so quickly? It took days to reach this place the first time."

Garion smirked.

"Heh, dont worry about that either. I’ve already got a plan about it."

She gave him a suspicious look.

"When you say ’planned’, does it involve something normal or completely insane?"

Garion grinned wider.

"Knowing me, what do you think?"

Dahlia groaned softly, rubbing her forehead.

"I was afraid you’d say that."

Garion chuckled again and turned toward the horizon.

"Come on. Let’s welcome our guests."

Dahlia sighed, but followed, not knowing what terrible plan he had in mind.
