Chapter 70: Quest Completed!
The galewolves ran towards the pillars, and the nightmare slowly stood up, getting ready to kill whoever dared to trouble it.
Jaden jumped onto his wolf and looked at Jamie, his expression serious.
"We can’t waste any more time; get moving."
The wolf began running towards the pillar with a dark silhouette emblem. Jamie looked at Jaden’s departing back as he spoke sombrely.
"It’s not that I asked that giant bitch to attack me," he straightened himself on the wolf’s back and took a seat as he pointed at the pillar at the right.
"Let’s move."
The wolf let out a howl and began running towards the pointed pillar.
Jaden looked at Jamie from the corner of his eye before shifting his gaze to the nightmare as he spoke.
"I have to stop that nightmare from standing up entirely."
The nightmare’s massive size made it so slow that even standing up was taking a lot of time, but even without the speed, it had enough strength to kill them all, and Jaden didn’t want that; he didn’t like dying, after all.
"Is that the only way?" Jaden mumbled as he shifted his gaze between the others.
"So be it."
A determined look appeared on his face as he muttered.
"Summon.’
Suddenly, a huge chunk of his mana was used, and a sharp headache hit him. Jaden winced under the pain and placed a hand on his head. He turned and looked at his grimoire; large black sparks came out of it and made their way towards the nightmare.
The nightmare looked at the sparks and tried to swat them away, much to its surprise, the sparks simply passed through its hand.
All of the sparks began to gather and, soon, it took the form of a giant black-white furred wolf, which was about half the size of the nightmare before it. It had jade-like fangs and two dark, gleaming horns. The Umbralfang, born from the fragment of two divines, looked at the nightmare before it with its crimson eyes and let out a mighty howl that shook the entire room.
The galewolves howled with the umbralfang, their speed surging as if its very presence strengthened them.
At the same time, a loud curse also echoed within the room.
"What the fuck?!"
Everyone looked at the mighty wolf whose presence was both divine and profane with despair-filled looks. They knew that it was likely Jaden’s wolf, but they didn’t know if they could survive a fight between two C-rank beings in such a small area.
The umbralfang leapt onto the nightmare, biting into its shoulder with blade-like fangs. The nightmare let out a pained cry and hit the umbralfang at the abdomen, throwing it off.
The giant lifted its leg to crush the wolf, but before it could do so, the wolf’s horns gleamed bright, and the wolf attacked it with its horns. The horns pierced the giant’s leg.
The giant let out a groan and held the wolf’s horn before landing a punch to its head. The wolf whimpered as blood dripped out of its mouth. It tried to attack again, but the giant lifted it and smashed it onto the ground before biting at its neck with its wide, alligator-like maw.
The wolf let out a scream as blood flooded out from its neck, its eyes turned furious as it bit back into the giant’s neck with all its might, and the giant let out a silent groan as it fell to its knees.
Right then, Selina jumped from her wolf and placed her hand into the recess. A large chunk of mana left her body as her eyes rolled back.
Arden, Shelly, Navin and Jamie did the same, and all of them fell unconscious.
The pillar’s emblem brightened, and five chains shot out from it, linking with the cuffs on the giant’s limbs and neck.
Jaden looked at all of it with a tired expression as a huge chunk of his mana was being drained with each moment.
He walked near the pillar of shadow and placed his hand in the recess before he mumbled.
"Recall Summon."
Just as he spoke, all of the galewolves and the umbralfang burst apart into black sparks and made their way towards him at the same moment a large chunk of mana was drained from his body and nearly knocked him out; blood trickled from his eyes, lips and nose.
A black chain shot out from the pillar of shadow and linked to the cuff at the giant’s chest.
The giant’s furious gaze shifted towards Jaden, at which Jaden gave it a bloodied grin and took out his camera. He positioned the camera at the giant as it pushed toward him, chains creaking under its strength.
Jaden mumbled before pressing the shutter button.
"Say cheese."
A blue screen appeared before him.

Jaden read the message before him and muttered with a smug look.
"Confirm."
The giant burst into black sparks and entered his body, and a few more screens appeared before him.

[Host has reached level 11!]
Just as Jaden captured the nightmare, the room began to shake as its walls and floor cracked, dust and stone fell from the ceiling, and Jaden muttered with a horrified look.
"What is going on?" He spoke tiredly, and suddenly the ceiling fell.
He closed his eyes and placed a hand above his head in fright.
A few moments passed, but nothing happened. He opened his eyes and looked at the debris that was frozen within the air.
"What?" He muttered, and cracks began to appear within the reality itself as the reflection finally broke.
Jaden’s eyes widened as he looked around.
"H-how?"
Disbelief etched across his features as he stood near the broken statue of Nightshade. His gaze shifted towards the others who lay near him. He walked towards them, but they broke into colourful sparks and disappeared as a screen appeared before him.
