Chapter 1160: Sharing a Suite

Chapter 1160: Chapter 1160: Sharing a Suite

Jiangli stood by, watching Fu Shiyan strut in, feeling a bit of a headache.

What she wanted to say earlier was that there was no need to be this ’considerate’.

But obviously, Fu Shiyan misunderstood her intentions.

She couldn’t tell if he did it on purpose or genuinely didn’t understand.

Jiangli watched Fu Shiyan enter the room, remained silent for a moment, and didn’t chase him out.

There were three bedrooms in the suite; it wouldn’t matter if Fu Shiyan really decided to stay.

Thinking of this, Jiangli closed the door and followed him in, seeing Fu Shiyan laying a pillow and quilt on the couch. She reminded him, "I’m staying in the east room. There are two more rooms here; you can choose whichever one to stay in, Mr. Fu."

Upon hearing this, Fu Shiyan glanced at the two rooms and said, "Alright, I’ll take this one."

He pointed to one of the rooms.

That room was the closest to Jiangli’s, directly across from hers.

Jiangli glanced at it and nonchalantly said, "Suit yourself. It’s getting late; if there’s nothing else, Mr. Fu, you should rest."

Fu Shiyan stared at her.

Jiangli paused, "Why are you looking at me like that?"

Fu Shiyan asked, "Lili doesn’t want me here?"

Jiangli: "...Why would you say that?"

"Just got the feeling that Lili doesn’t really want to see me." Fu Shiyan hugged his quilt, his expression calm, but inexplicably seemed a bit pitiful.

Jiangli wondered where Fu Shiyan learned to act so coyly.

She said helplessly, "Not at all. It’s just that the competition starts early tomorrow, and it’s getting late. I think both of us need to rest early."

Fu Shiyan let out a low "Oh," still staring at Jiangli, looking genuinely aggrieved.

Jiangli really wanted to say, Mr. Fu, you’re not a very convincing domineering CEO!

This is miles away from the typical domineering archetype, isn’t it?

Jiangli chuckled and said, "Mr. Fu, sleep early?"

Fu Shiyan nodded and didn’t say much, "Goodnight."

Jiangli felt a sense of relief, waved to him, and headed into her room to rest.

After watching her enter her room, Fu Shiyan turned around and went into his own room.

As he turned, Fu Shiyan smirked, feeling very satisfied with the outcome of being able to stay tonight.

After entering her room, Jiangli went straight to sleep.

That night, she slept very soundly.

No nightmares disturbed her.

In her dreams, there was a cool breeze, soothing and dissipating the room’s summer heat.

...

The next morning.

As if she had set an internal alarm, Jiangli groggily wandered out of her room around four in the morning.

Just as she came out, the door across from her opened.

Fu Shiyan stepped out too.

Seeing him, Jiangli stopped mid-yawn, caught off guard.

For a moment, she was stunned; she had already forgotten about Fu Shiyan staying here yesterday.

Today, Fu Shiyan was wearing a black tracksuit, making him look even more youthful and slender.

He always seemed young, but the suits usually toned it down.

But in the tracksuit today, he looked especially youthful.

At a glance, he seemed like a student freshly entering college.

Especially because, as if just waking up, his eyes held a sleepy innocence.

Seeing Jiangli, he seemed a bit surprised too.

The next second, he quickly gathered himself, flashed a smile, and walked over, "Up so early?"

Hearing his voice, Jiangli swallowed the rest of her yawn and forced a natural smile, "Mr. Fu, you’re up early too."
