Chapter 50: Chapter 50: He Is My Student, and Also Speaker Yasen’s Grandson

"I’ve heard there’s a massive volcano cluster over there. I want to improve my Lava Eruption Witchcraft, and the environment there should serve as a good reference."

Lor smoothly lied without even batting an eye, "If possible, I want to refine the model of the Lava Eruption Witchcraft to lay a solid foundation for advancing to the Fourth Ring in the future."

"You..."

Nelson hesitated to speak, finally sighed helplessly, and said, "Alright, if you want to go, then go."

Improvement and fusion witchcraft are challenges and goals that every Multi-Element Mage who wants to blaze a new trail cannot avoid.

Lor wants to go, and with the gains he’s made in the Divine Kingdom as his backing, he has the ability to go.

With Levan watching from the side, Nelson really couldn’t refuse this reasonable request.

"Well, thank you, Tower Master." Lor immediately expressed his gratitude.

"Hmm." Nelson waved his hand, "Take Levan to look around the tower; I have other matters to attend to and won’t keep you any longer."

"Yes, Tower Master." Lor bowed respectfully and led Levan towards the stairway.

"It’s a shame." Watching Lor descend the stairs, Nelson felt a bit regretful.

His Wizard Tower had finally produced a genius, yet before even reaching beyond the First Ring were they leaving Murphy Continent. This turned his initially good mood sour.

If Lor had stayed in his Wizard Tower and advanced to the Fourth Ring, their relationship would be much closer compared to other Multi-Element Fourth Rings, providing more assistance in future Abyssal expeditions.

But now he’s leaving at the First Ring, which means even if Lor does become a Fourth Ring wizard, inviting him for help would rely on benefits.

As for whether Lor can reach the Fourth Ring...

Compared to himself, he trusts Yasen’s insight more.

...

Three and a half hours later.

Lor had just led Levan to the twenty-seventh floor of the Wizard Tower when they were blocked by two excited figures.

One of them he knew well, his mentor Agular.

The other, though unseen before, was instantly recognized by the Second Ring Earth and Fire Wizard Robe as Gu Lei of the Earth and Fire Faction.

"Mentor, Wizard Gu Lei." Lor bowed to both of them.

Behind him, Levan followed suit with a bow, but did not speak.

Four-Ring wizards warranted necessary respect.

But the same didn’t apply to the Second Ring, formalities extended mostly in respect of his own mentor.

The two Second Ring wizards failed to recognize Levan and had no time to entertain him, their focus wholly on Lor.

However, subtle differences were evident between them; Agular’s interest lay in Lor himself, while Gu Lei’s gaze was fixed on the Space Ring on Lor’s right hand.

"Lor, I heard you shone brightly in the Divine Kingdom this time?"

Agular exclaimed excitedly, "Not only did you snatch the Space Ring, but you also acquired over ten thousand Divine Power Crystals?"

Over ten thousand Divine Power Crystals!

He had lived so long, yet all his accumulated wealth barely added up to five hundred Divine Power Crystals.

Lending fifty grams to Lor back then caused him heartache for a long time. If the kid had perished in the Divine Kingdom, the loss would have been huge.

"Not that many." Lor shook his head with a bitter smile, "I only got a little over eight thousand grams of Divine Power Crystals."

While speaking, he glanced sideways at Gu Lei beside Agular.

Noticing the greed almost impossible to hide in his eyes, Lor sighed inwardly.

He didn’t know how long it had been since Nelson let him and Levan out, yet now judging by the situation, his gains in the Divine Kingdom had apparently spread far.

Undoubtedly, Gu Lei isn’t the only one harboring greedy thoughts towards him.

A bit of a hassle, but resolving it isn’t difficult. Revealing Levan’s identity would solve most of it.

If any remained stubbornly minded, then it would come down to the Scrolls.

"Eight thousand... only..." Agular opened his mouth, momentarily at a loss for words.

His student, still just at the apprentice stage, casually mentioned having over eight thousand grams of Divine Power Crystals.

While he himself couldn’t scrape together five hundred Divine Power Crystals; the feeling was indescribably complex.

At this moment, Gu Lei spoke up, "Lor, how many cubic meters is that Space Ring you’re holding?"

"Ten cubic meters," Lor answered truthfully.

Compared to the rumored ten thousand Divine Power Crystals, a Space Ring worth only two million contribution points seemed insignificant.

Whether concealed or revealed, it bore no consequence.

"Eight thousand grams, ten cubic meters..." Gu Lei felt his heart thump hard.

Lor, merely an apprentice, held a Space Ring along with Divine Crystals inside worth ten thousand grams of Divine Power Crystals.

Ten thousand grams of Divine Power Crystals, enticing even for a Third Ring Great Wizard.

If these Divine Power Crystals belonged to him...

With his mind made up, Gu Lei immediately transmitted through perception to Agular, "Agular, how about giving him to me? You don’t have to do anything, and I’ll share seven thousand grams of Divine Power Crystals with you afterward."

Agular didn’t reply, merely casting a deep glance at Gu Lei.

"Mentor, these are your Divine Power Crystals." At the same time, Lor, with a smile, took out 100 grams of Divine Power Crystals from the Space Ring and handed them to Agular.

Gu Lei’s intentions were practically written on his face, and Lor had lost interest in engaging further.

He couldn’t wait to see Gu Lei’s reaction once Levan’s identity was revealed.

As for Agular, whether he was genuinely without intention or merely putting on a facade, Lor still regarded him as a mentor.

He lacked large funds, but small change wasn’t an issue.

Giving back a hundred grams of Divine Power Crystals somewhat repaid the risk Agular took in initially investing fifty grams in him.

"I only lent you fifty grams of Divine Power Crystals," Agular shook his head.

He was old, with his Witchcraft Model research stuck at a bottleneck.

While ten thousand grams of Divine Power Crystals might significantly aid Gu Lei, what Agular needed to break through were sparks of inspiration, not resources.

Thus, after a brief imbalance, his mindset quickly regained composure.

As for Gu Lei’s suggestion, he had no interest at all.

"Consider the rest interest." Lor smiled, placing the Divine Power Crystals into Agular’s hand.

"Very well." Agular didn’t fuss further, knowing Lor could afford it, and accepted the 100 grams of Divine Power Crystals.

"By the way, this is the student I recently took in from the Divine Kingdom, named Levan Dempsey."

At that moment, Lor tapped his forehead as if remembering something, pulling Levan forward to introduce him to the two Second Ring wizards:

"Additionally, he is the grandson of Speaker Yassen."

Hearing Lor say Levan was his student, curiosity flickered in Agular’s eyes, mainly interested in Levan’s age and experiences.

Few Level Three apprentices existed at such an age, and typically, they would be children or grandchildren of some Third Ring Great Wizard.

Yet, what Third Ring Great Wizard would throw their child into the Divine Kingdom?

That’s blatantly sending the child into a fiery pit!

Gu Lei, meanwhile, showed traces of displeasure and disdain.

A Level Three apprentice’s disciple, is it necessary to bring him here for recognition?

This Lor, doesn’t quite grasp the etiquette.

Under regular circumstances, he might have noted the mention of the ’Divine Kingdom’ by Lor, but presently, his thoughts were occupied by the ten thousand Divine Power Crystals, sparing none for anything else.

But upon hearing the latter part, both exchanged puzzled glances, questioning if they had misheard.

Even Gu Lei was jolted awake from greed.

"Did you just say, your student is the grandson of the Speaker?" Agular asked in a dry voice.
