Chapter 63: Chapter 63: One Punch Blows Up the Golden Behemoth!
Meanwhile, on the other side.
At the front of the airship chartered by the Tattalia family, Victor, Blair, and Klein stood together, their eyes on Logan’s group.
"Victor, you actually let those guys outshine you. Want me to kill them for you?" Blair carried a big blade, mockery all over his face.
"Blair, if someone dies, the Genius Training Camp will kick you out. A slow-acting poison would be safer," Klein said coldly from the side.
Victor listened and snapped: "I’m getting my pride back. Don’t use dirty tricks. I’ll beat them fair and square!"
With a snort, Victor rushed into the Blood Cultivation Realm first.
Blair and Klein rolled their eyes and followed.
Not long after they went in, Sorenso, the Tattalia family’s power broker, showed up.
With him were Garen, the City Lord of Saint Heart City, and General Philip, the military’s commander-in-chief.
The three walked side by side. Sorenso kept bragging about how strong Victor was: "Philip, you’re just jealous of the Tattalia family’s great genes! You even tried dirty tricks to stop Victor from joining the internal match. You’re so sneaky!"
General Philip heard him and looked disgusted. "Great genes? Sorenso, go get a paternity test—you might be adopted. Your face is ugly, your skills are lousy, and your thing is short."
General Philip’s words were firm and strong, and they drew countless eyes at once.
Sorenso, publicly mocked for his bloodline and strength, exploded with rage. "You old fossil, I challenge you to a duel!"
Hearing that, General Philip got excited. He immediately opened his familiar space, ready to summon his familiar and beat Sorenso up.
Garen, the City Lord of Saint Heart City, rushed in to stop them before things got out of hand.
If he didn’t step in now, Philip might really punch Sorenso to death.
"How old are you two? Still fighting like kids?" Garen pulled them apart and spoke patiently. "Victor is recognized by the federal senators as a genius. General Philip, don’t target him too much."
When Sorenso heard Victor’s name, pride flashed on his face. "Heh, Philip is just jealous of the Tattalia family. He envies that our family produces talent every generation. But jealousy won’t help him. Victor isn’t just any genius—he’s got [supernova] potential."
At the word [supernova], General Philip burst out laughing. "Hahaha! Sorenso, I honestly admire your bragging skills and your thick skin! I’ve lived a hundred years, and this is the first time I’ve heard of a ’supernova’ joining the Genius Training Camp and needing family pocket money to buy points."
Sorenso was furious again. He pointed at Philip and shouted, "Old man, if you don’t believe in our Tattalia genius, dare you make a bet? If Victor gets first place in the internal match, you must drop all charges against every member of the Tattalia family and kneel to apologize in public!"
A sly look flashed in General Philip’s eyes.
He had already looked into Logan’s strength, so he agreed without hesitation. "Sure. But if Victor doesn’t get first place, then your Tattalia family will hand over assets worth seven trillion federal credits, and you will strip naked and run two laps around the Federal Assembly Hall."
"Deal!" Sorenso trusted Victor completely and agreed on the spot.
Garen, the City Lord of Saint Heart City, could only try to calm them both. "Enough, you two. Stop arguing and watch the show in peace."
Soon, the airship carrying these VIPs took off.
Meanwhile.
Logan, Sawako, and Yelena had already started exploring the Blood Cultivation Realm.
Most of this realm was ocean.
After Yelena sent out her Icebound Phoenix to scout, she found countless islands scattered across the sea, stretching out to the horizon. She couldn’t tell which island was hiding the arena.
Sawako looked up at the airship in midair as it slowly turned transparent and pouted in anger. "No map, no coordinates, no directions—and the only landmark is invisible. How are we supposed to find the arena?"
Seeing Sawako complain, Yelena handed her a bottle of water and smiled. "Not knowing anything—that’s real exploration. If we search every corner of the Blood Cultivation Realm, we’ll find it."
Sawako let out a small sigh. "Good thing Yelena has an Icebound Phoenix. It can make ice and fly. Otherwise we’d be swimming in the ocean."
Hearing that, Logan turned to look at the other teams.
Just as Sawako said, some teams had already started ordering their familiars to cut trees and build boats.
The members of the Genius Training Camp were almost all familiar tamers at the elite stage, most stuck at elite 1-star.
Normally, an elite 1-star familiar tamer can bond with two familiars. When they break through to elite 5 stars, they can bond with three
Even if some familiar tamers are especially gifted, or have used rare items, before reaching elite 5 stars they can still bond at most three familiars.
So, to boost their fighting power, most people in the Genius Training Camp choose one familiar for close combat and one familiar that merges with the body.
Even if a few can bond a third familiar, they usually pick a ranged fighter, not a mount.
After all, these members are the top geniuses from each main city. How could they "waste" a familiar slot on a mount?
This leads to the current problem: most familiars are for combat. Few can fly, and even fewer can swim.
Right now, almost everyone in the Genius Training Camp is stuck on the entry island.
Anyone with a flying mount or a swimming mount becomes someone others envy.
Yelena especially drew a lot of jealous looks when she released her Icebound Phoenix.
But not every team is willing to just cut trees and build boats.
Victor, Blair, and Klein set their sights on tamers who have mounts.
Not far away, a familiar tamer had just summoned his wyvern when Blair kicked him hard to the ground. "I’m taking your familiar. From now on, you’re my driver!"
The wyvern’s tamer lay there with blood at the corner of his mouth and asked in a shaky voice, "What about my teammates?"
Hearing the familiar tamer’s question, Blair’s face instantly went cold.
Right after that, two huge shapes lunged at the people behind the tamer.
As screams rang out, Blair grabbed the wyvern tamer by the throat and forced his head to the side. "Look closely. You don’t have teammates anymore."
When the wyvern familiar tamer saw their partner seriously injured and unconscious, their face instantly went pale.
He didn’t know Blair, but he did recognize that Golden Behemoth familiar—it was the prize Victor redeemed over half a month ago.
He realized Blair was probably acting on Victor’s orders.
He couldn’t fight the Tattalia family, so he held back his anger and accepted his fate. "Let my teammates go. I’ll fly you."
Seeing the wyvern’s tamer give in, Blair helped him up and patted his cheek with a smile. "That’s better. Be my driver and transport, and I promise you’ll reach the arena and join the internal match."
Then Blair flashed a victory sign at Victor in the distance to show it was handled.
This bandit-like move quickly drew anger from the nearby teams.
But when they saw the culprit was Victor, they all swallowed their words.
Feeling the hateful stares, Victor grinned wide. "Hahaha! I know you can’t stand me, but I love watching you rage and do nothing!"
With that, Victor waved his hand. The Golden Behemoth dropped into the crowd like a cannonball, knocking over more than a dozen Genius Training Camp members on the spot.
Even their familiars were sent flying by the Behemoth’s impact. They weren’t a match at all.
Seeing this, the tamers farther away who were cutting trees lowered their heads and kept working, not daring to speak.
Victor looked around, saw everyone quietly accepting his looting, and laughed even harder. "If you’re not stopping me, I’m taking people!"
He set his eyes on a girl standing on a shimmering golden carp.
Feeling Victor’s bad intent, the girl quickly hid behind her teammate.
Seeing her timid, fearful look, Victor got even more excited.
He pointed at her. "Hey, girl, come here!"
Hearing Victor call her, the girl was so scared she almost cried. "No!"
After the girl turned him down on the spot, Victor’s relaxed, happy look went cold.
Suddenly, the Golden Behemoth shot out again, about to smash the girl and her teammate to the ground.
At the last second, Logan’s voice rang out.
"Dual-Beast Possession!"
Before everyone’s eyes, two huge shadows—one black, one blue—soared into the sky.
As the two shadows merged, Logan’s body grew several times larger. He slapped the Golden Behemoth hard across the face.
The Behemoth, which had been about to land, froze in midair. It hung from Logan’s hand like a limp piece of clothing, swaying side to side.
Seeing this, the nearby Genius Training Camp members all stared wide-eyed.
Standing next to Victor, Blair couldn’t help blurting out, "Holy crap!"
...
