Chapter 114 Slaughter

Bai Ye approached the Xenomorph and kicked it. After a moment, he found that the Xenomorph was indeed no longer moving.

"It really has a weakness!"

The Xenomorph's head was an elongated oval, covered in extremely tough armor. It had no discernible neck, or rather, a very short one, making its head appear to be attached directly to its body.

It was only when Bai Ye forcibly pried open the Xenomorph's head that he discovered that the lower part of the head, where it met the body, was not covered by armor. Instead, it was a layer of viscous membrane, allowing it to be easily pierced from this position, and even allowing direct access into the Xenomorph's brain to attack it.

Bai Ye exclaimed that he had learned something new, and his collection of strange knowledge seemed to have increased.

Actually, this weak point...

Bai Ye pondered for a moment. It wasn't easy to target. It was on its rear, and only a small area where it connected to the body, not very large and difficult to attack. It would be simpler to just throw a couple of talismans into the Xenomorph's mouth and blow it up.

However, knowing the weakness was better than not knowing. If the opportunity arose, it could still be utilized.

Bai Ye thought as he walked over to the Predator. He reached out and tapped the Predator's faceplate. There was no reaction. He then glanced at the wound on the Predator's abdomen. Its internal organs had spilled out, and it was thoroughly dead.

"What the heck!"

Bai Ye was speechless. What was this all about?

He was inexplicably caught in the crossfire, and then inexplicably, the two instigators had killed each other.

What was his role in all this?

Bai Ye shook his head, then got up and continued walking forward.

Bai Ye felt the need to pick up the pace.

The Facehuggers had already hatched and infested quite a few people. Judging by the condition of the corpses, their chests had been ripped open, meaning a large number of Xenomorphs had already been born.

Although newborn Xenomorphs were not strong, they grew extremely quickly. After killing two or three people and absorbing nutrients, they could develop into mature forms. Therefore, as time passed, Bai Ye could imagine that the research base would likely be overrun with Xenomorphs.

Moreover, this was a vicious cycle: Xenomorphs continuously killed people and reproduced, increasing their numbers, leading to more deaths and further reproduction of Xenomorphs...

Therefore, he had to find the Xenomorph Predator and eliminate it before things worsened, and then leave the research base.

Bai Ye thought as he walked through the next corridor, his brow furrowing.

Such a strong smell of blood!

Bai Ye opened the door at the end of the corridor. The smell of blood practically assailed him.

This was an entertainment room with a small private cinema, a wet bar, some fitness equipment, and even a corner with several arcade machines. It was likely a place for the research team to relax.

However, there were no bodies here.

This made Bai Ye's brow furrow even more furrowed. If there were no bodies in the entertainment room, it meant the smell of blood was drifting from further away. The further the blood smell drifted, the more people had likely died, suggesting a massacre.

Bai Ye did not linger. He opened the door on the other side of the entertainment room and continued forward. Indeed, the moment the door opened, the smell of blood became even more potent. Bai Ye then glanced at the sign hanging in the corridor.

"Area A2?" Bai Ye was surprised. "Isn't this where the broadcast was calling for people to gather? I think it was the mess hall?"

Bai Ye thought as he walked to the end of the corridor and opened the sliding door.

The next instant, a gruesome sight of corpses suddenly appeared before Bai Ye.

Behind the door was the mess hall of Area A2. The ground was littered with bodies, both human and beast-human. Blood had almost soaked the entire mess hall. Mixed with the strong smell of blood was a foul odor.

More importantly...

Around the corpses stood over a dozen Predators, who were counting the bodies to ascertain if all the people were dead.

Almost instantly, Bai Ye turned and fled without hesitation.

Bang, bang...

As Bai Ye turned and fled, two Predators fired their shoulder cannons.

With a loud roar!

The shoulder cannons hit the door, shattering the sliding door into pieces.

The two Predators wanted to pursue, but they were stopped by a taller Predator. After gesturing towards the surrounding corpses, the tall Predator personally pursued into the corridor.

Meanwhile, Bai Ye was running at full speed.

Damn it, over a dozen Predators, what was he supposed to do? It was clear he was going to get beaten.

Just then...

A buzzing sound suddenly erupted from behind Bai Ye.

Bai Ye looked back and discovered that a metallic boomerang had appeared behind him at some point, flying towards him at high speed.

Bai Ye gauged its speed and decisively stopped. The boomerang was faster than he had anticipated.

He couldn't outrun it!

"Ning Shuang, Ice Barrier!"

Bai Ye immediately summoned the Ning Shuang sword. A layer of frost spread, and an ice wall instantly rose from the ground.

With a bang, the boomerang pierced through the ice wall. However, due to the obstruction of the ice wall, the metallic boomerang had clearly deviated from its original trajectory. It grazed past Bai Ye and embedded itself in the wall behind him.

But Bai Ye didn't even have time to breathe. With a rustle, a fist shattered the ice wall and grabbed Bai Ye's clothes.

Bang!

The large hand yanked backward forcefully, causing Bai Ye to slam into the ice wall, shattering it.

Bai Ye stumbled to the ground, then pushed himself up, scrambling to his feet, and looked ahead.

A single Predator?

Bai Ye was slightly taken aback, then couldn't help but grin.

It seemed he was being underestimated!

But Bai Ye was very pleased with this underestimation.

A group of Predators would indeed be too difficult to handle. A single salvo of shoulder cannon blasts would be enough for Bai Ye, but if it was just one...

Who was afraid of whom!

Bai Ye charged forward, arriving in front of the Predator, and delivered a flying kick.

Clang!

The Predator raised its left arm. On its left arm was a rectangular piece of iron. Suddenly, a mechanical whirring sound was heard. The iron piece was made of countless overlapping metal plates. As they spread outward, the plates formed a circle, revealing a shield.

Bai Ye's kick landed. The Predator's body swayed, and it took half a step back to steady itself. It was clear that the difference in strength between them was not significant.

After taking the kick, the Predator seized the opportunity while Bai Ye was off-balance. It extended its right hand forward, and the wrist blade on its wrist slashed towards Bai Ye.

Bai Ye's pupils contracted. He suddenly formed his fingers into a claw and reached forward.

"Dragon Claw Hand!"

Bai Ye, in mid-air, flicked his arm, evaded the wrist blade, and grabbed the Predator's wrist!
