Chapter 335: Chapter 36: I’m Always Open to a Night Visit

"Huh?"

Fubuki blinked, startled by what she heard.

"You mean... you’re planning to live here?"

Ron grinned. "Why not?"

Before Fubuki could answer, Tatsumaki burst out, "Of course not!"

"Why the hell would we let some shady, dangerous guy like you move into our house?!"

"Dangerous guy? That’s pretty rude of you. If I remember right, I did save your life, didn’t I?"

Ron looked at her with a teasing smile playing on his lips.

"I never asked you to save me."

Tatsumaki shot back defiantly, "Besides, I helped you too, didn’t I? So we’re even!"

"Help? If you mean getting in the way and being useless, then sure."

"WHAT did you say?!"

Just as the two were about to start going at each other again, Fubuki quickly stepped in to mediate.

"Big sis, calm down."

She glanced at Ron, then gently pulled Tatsumaki aside by the hand.

Tatsumaki frowned. "Fubuki, what are you doing?"

"Listen, sis..."

Fubuki lowered her voice. "Aren’t you curious about the secret behind his powers?"

"I am curious... but letting him move in—"

Her worry wasn’t about the house. It was about Fubuki’s safety.

Fubuki spoke softly, "Sis, if what you said before is true... if he really is the Ron I knew... then I don’t think we’re in any danger."

"Even if he’s hard to read... I just don’t think he’s a bad person."

Tatsumaki thought back to the incident in J-City, and the recent one in A-City. Her eyes drifted toward Ron, who was sitting comfortably on the couch, sipping tea and watching TV.

If we were going by his actions alone, he couldn’t exactly be called a villain. In fact, one might even call him a hero—provided he wasn’t hiding some deeper motive.

"Haven’t made up your minds yet?" Ron’s voice suddenly cut in, laced with amusement. "This is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to live with a guy as handsome as me, you know."

"Handsome? Hmph! Shameless idiot."

Tatsumaki scoffed.

She might admit Ron was good-looking in her heart, but she’d never say it aloud.

That was just who she was—tsundere to the core.

Crossing her arms, she looked at Fubuki. "Fine. I’m hardly home anyway. I’ll leave this decision up to you."

"Big sis..."

Fubuki was caught off guard. She hesitated for a moment, but then made up her mind.

She walked over to Ron and looked at him seriously.

"No matter what the secret is... we get to ask it, right?"

"Of course... not."

"...Huh?"

Fubuki stared at him, stunned.

Ron smiled and spread his hands. "Come on, it’s not like I have to move in. I just thought it’d be fun. If you two are against it, I can always stay at Saitama’s place instead."

Snap.

Ron clicked his fingers and winked at Fubuki.

"So—I’ll let you ask one secret."

"WHAT?!"

Tatsumaki’s eyebrows shot up. "Then obviously we’d never—"

Before she could finish, Fubuki looked up, her eyes sharp with resolve.

"Ron-kun... who are you, really?"

Her words echoed into the sudden silence that fell over the room.

Even Ron was caught off guard. He hadn’t expected that.

He thought she’d ask about his powers.

Under the watchful gazes of both sisters, Ron drained the last of his tea, gently placed the cup on the table, and looked up at Fubuki with a smile.

"That is one of my secrets. Since you asked it, I’ll tell you."

He stood up, walked right up to her, and stopped mere inches away.

They were so close, Fubuki could see the fine details of his impossibly handsome face. Her heart began to pound for no reason she could explain.

Ron looked into her eyes. "I remember you asking me something similar back at Bang’s dojo. I gave you an answer then too."

Fubuki nodded. "You said you were just a traveler... but that’s not the truth, is it? I want to know who you really are. Your past. Your secret."

Ron chuckled lightly, then moved his lips—

—but no sound came out.

Tatsumaki’s eyes widened in shock.

Fubuki, on the other hand, looked like she’d just heard something utterly unbelievable. Her entire expression shifted.

Ron brushed past her, whispering, "I’ll move in tomorrow," and threw a glance at Tatsumaki.

He smiled, then walked out the door.

Once he was gone—

"What the hell was that supposed to mean?" Tatsumaki grumbled, clearly annoyed.

"...Sis," Fubuki said quietly.

Tatsumaki turned toward her. "What’s up?"

Fubuki stared into the distance. "I... I think I just learned something really big."

"...Huh?!"

...

The next day.

Ron, just as promised, moved into the villa and took one of the rooms on the second floor.

He had barely finished unpacking when Tatsumaki came knocking.

"Hey."

She stood in the doorway, arms crossed, peering into the room.

"I’ll say this now—if you try anything with Fubuki, I won’t go easy on you."

Ron, facing the window, casually pulled the curtains aside. "Try anything? I’m not quite sure what you mean."

Tatsumaki froze, cheeks flushing. "Don’t play dumb!"

"If you don’t say it clearly, how am I supposed to understand?"

"You’re so annoying! I—I mean that! You know exactly what I mean!"

She turned around and stormed off—but paused after just a few steps.

Looking over her shoulder, her voice lowered a notch. "You... really are from another world, aren’t you?"

Ron didn’t turn around.

"Something like that," he said. "Might leave again someday, too. When that happens, even if you wanted to see me again, you wouldn’t be able to."

"So while I’m still here... make the most of it. If you ever feel like a midnight visit, I’m always open."
