The moment his fingers touched the crystal core, the Mutant Banyan Tree suddenly let out a high-pitched shriek and crashed around wildly. It was as if it knew that danger was near and it tried to save itself. The vines that had ignored Fu Guai before suddenly wrapped around his body.
This time, he didn’t let them trap him and created a fire barrier around his body. When the vines touched the fire, they burned and turned into ashes.
Knowing that his time was limited, he reached out and tore off the crystal core from the mutant tree’s body. As soon as he took it, a thick root hit his chest with a loud sound.
