Chapter 70: Chapter 70: Catching My Wife Cheating
The noise outside filtered into the elegant room, and Vincent Morgan’s face immediately darkened.
He hadn’t expected Yuna Hughes to chase him all the way here!
"Sorry, I need to step out to handle some personal affairs." He stood up, having just heard Yuna mention their teacher’s name.
No matter how much he disliked Yuna, he couldn’t let her ruin their teacher’s reputation.
Nora Northwood nodded in acknowledgment; it wasn’t her business, so she wouldn’t interfere.
Vincent walked out of the private room, looking sternly at Yuna, who was still causing trouble. "Yuna Hughes!"
"Senior brother, you’re here! Quick, tell them I’m your junior sister, why won’t they let me go up!"
Seeing Vincent arrive, Yuna beamed with delight, oblivious to the displeased look on his face, and proudly glanced at the attendant blocking her way.
Sighing, he initially wanted to send her away, but on second thought, he figured it was better to bring her up first.
Now that he was here, the attendant naturally stopped objecting and let him take her away.
Inside the elegant room, Yuna, upon seeing Nora sitting there, could barely restrain her urge to charge at her.
But having calmed down, she knew that if she caused a scene again, Vincent would definitely throw her out, and that would be counterproductive.
"And who might this sister be?" she asked softly, completely devoid of her earlier brashness.
Nora, who had heard about Yuna’s antics, raised an eyebrow and then smiled, replying, "Nora Northwood."
Then she turned around and ignored them.
Yuna wanted to say more, but coincidentally, the auction started just then.
"If you want to stay, keep your mouth shut, or else I’ll send you out," Vincent warned, his patience exhausted, his words growing harsher.
Meanwhile, in the neighboring private room, Louis Hayes looked awkwardly at his boss.
Bad news: The boss’s wife also attended the banquet.
Worse news: She came with another man.
Standing by, he barely dared to breathe, aware of the boss’s foul mood from the outset, his face perpetually stern.
"Louis, keep an eye on them. If there’s any commotion next door, storm in!"
Jasper Sinclair commanded, face dark, repressing seething anger.
Just like a husband catching his cheating wife.
If he weren’t intent on keeping his identity hidden right now, he’d definitely drag that woman over personally.
Has she forgotten that she’s married?
Or have her recent odd behaviors all been because of Vincent Morgan?
The more he pondered, the angrier he became. For the rest of the time, anything Vincent showed interest in, Jasper bid for it, ending up with a pile of useless stuff.
Vincent wasn’t too upset, the auction was just a formality, and since President Sinclair took a liking to those things, it didn’t matter to let him have them.
"Come on, let’s go say hello next door." He got up, moved to Nora’s side, just about to help her up when Yuna suddenly darted over and clung to his arm.
"Miss Northwood isn’t an invalid, she can stand up by herself." Yuna declared her sovereignty, gazing at Nora with pride and defiance, while Nora could only feel helpless, smiling and shaking her head as she stood up.
"No need to worry, I’m not that delicate." Vincent withdrew his hand, giving Nora an apologetic look.
But by the time they reached the neighboring room, Jasper Sinclair had already left for the banquet hall.
What a joke, was he going to wait around for a face-to-face with Nora Northwood?
Vincent felt a tinge of disappointment: "Let’s go, we’ll head over to the banquet, and I’ll introduce you to some perfumers. There’s food there too, so feel free to eat if you’re hungry."
