Chapter 81: Chapter 81: The Center of Attention
After packing her things, Nora Northwood said a word to Aaron Lowell before leaving.
Jasper Sinclair didn’t have time to waste words with Aaron Lowell, so he got up and chased after her.
"I wasn’t just..." He tried to explain, but it was clear she wasn’t interested.
She quickly walked downstairs, got in a taxi, and went straight back to the flower shop.
Coincidentally, Lily Sloan wanted to call her at that moment: "There’s an evening party tonight. My parents got an invitation but can’t go. Why don’t we check it out?"
"An evening party?" Shoving aside the discomfort in her heart, her thoughts were entirely on business now. Thinking she might meet some business partners, she considered it and nodded: "I’ll go back and change into a dress tonight."
As soon as she finished speaking, Lily stopped her: "No need, let’s go all out and get a stunning hairstyle right away."
Seeing her holding two VIP cards which were clearly from a high-end club, she instinctively wanted to refuse.
"Come on, I feel awkward going alone." Lily wrapped her arm around her friend, putting her charm into full effect.
Jade groaned, unable to resist, and reluctantly agreed.
To prepare for the evening party, she specially took some time to print several business cards, just in case.
In the evening, the two went to that club to get ready.
When choosing an evening gown, she initially wanted to pick a simple and understated one. She never liked drawing attention.
Lily looked at her in frustration: "What’s the point of hiding such a good figure? Besides, we’re going to find business opportunities... I mean, cooperation partners. If you dress too plain, how will anyone notice you? Listen to me, wear this!"
She picked up a red dress; although it was just a simple strapless design, its eye-catching feature was the unique design.
The lace hollow design at the waist, half-hidden and half-revealing, was the most appealing, sexy yet not vulgar.
Don’t be fooled that it’s the most basic style; wearing it stunningly is a challenge for one’s figure and complexion.
Nora’s conditions are just right!
Nora still wanted to refuse, but the makeup artist and Lily both persuaded her, and she reluctantly nodded.
Changing into the dress, she looked at herself in the mirror, slightly surprised, and shyly stepped out, startling everyone around.
"Sweetheart, trust me, I’ll make you the most dazzling one tonight!" The makeup artist, seemingly energized, became excited.
It’s simply perfect! This girl only needed a stunning makeup look now, and standing out at the party wouldn’t be an issue.
Under the makeup artist’s skillful hands, Nora was transformed completely.
"My God! Isn’t this just perfect?" Lily exclaimed.
Her hair was curled into waves and casually draped over her shoulders, and her makeup wasn’t too heavy since she already had a good foundation.
The makeup artist only subtly enhanced her brows and eyes, paired with those red lips, making her look both cold and captivating.
Lily had a hunch that Nora would absolutely be the most dazzling one at the party!
Seeing that time was short, the two hurriedly took a car to the venue.
At the moment they entered the venue, everyone around couldn’t help but gasp.
Firstly, the woman before them was so perfect that no matter how you looked, her beauty was irresistibly captivating. Secondly...
"Jade, the woman’s dress..." The woman beside Jade Lockwood started, but her friend pulled her aside, seeing Jade’s unpleasant expression, she immediately understood and closed her mouth, not daring to say more.
