Chapter 78: Burning Bridges

Chapter 78: Chapter 78: Burning Bridges

Jasper Sinclair watched as the man was drugged. Half an hour later, he had already begun to lose his senses.

Watching him despairingly rolling on the ground, Jasper felt not a hint of sympathy.

Whenever he thought of the scene when he found Nora Northwood, he wished he could cut this guy into pieces.

He just hoped the Morgan Family wouldn’t let him down and could give a perfect conclusion!

...

Vincent Morgan looked at the link pushed to his phone.

It was full of evidence that Yuna Hughes was trying to harm Nora Northwood: phone records and the man’s confession recording.

He wanted to investigate whose strange number it was, but the opponent was more skilled, leaving no trace.

Gripping the phone, he didn’t expect Yuna to do such a thing. Thinking of all that Nora suffered because of him, he felt a bit guilty.

The next day, he went to the master’s side to find Yuna, but unexpectedly saw Jasper Sinclair there.

"Did you say Finn might have a clue?" Elaine was saying as he walked in.

Jasper noticed him with the corner of his eye, smirked, pretending to know nothing, and then continued speaking: "Someone said that at that time, a new family moved to the village. The couple didn’t look good, but the child was quite charming. It should be Finn they were talking about."

Elaine became more excited, not expecting to find some clues after so many years.

"What happened after that, any new information about that family?"

She asked anxiously, only to see Jasper sigh and shake his head.

"Since there’s not much known about the family, we need to continue probing for concrete news." He said with slight disappointment.

Elaine then noticed Vincent came over: "What’s wrong, Finn, is there anything you need?"

She lowered her teacup and gestured for him to come over.

Vincent nodded, approached, greeted the master briefly, then looked coldly at Yuna.

"You were responsible for what happened to Nora, weren’t you?" He had none of the usual amiable and gentle demeanor at this moment.

Yuna was frightened to her core by his gaze. What happened to her senior brother?

Her eyes dodged as she stubbornly said it wasn’t her: "I don’t know what you’re talking about, senior brother."

Then she heard Vincent sneer: "Don’t know? Yuna, do you think you did a brilliant job? You’re connected with Logan Walker. Aren’t you aware of the relationship between the master and Logan Walker? Do you have any conscience by doing this? Are you worthy of the master’s trust?"

The master had heard a little about the auction incident.

Watching these kids grow up, she felt Yuna was just a bit willful.

But Vincent’s words today were like a slap in the face; Yuna did far more than that.

She looked at Yuna with disappointment. Even if she didn’t say a word, Yuna could feel the master’s disappointment.

Stabbed by the sight around her, she became hysterical again.

"How could I fail the master? Didn’t the master say that if it weren’t for me, she could have taken her as a disciple? If it weren’t for you all being taken away by her, how could I treat her like that!"

She accused everyone present in a crazed manner.

Elaine’s heart grew cold; it seemed this child was spoiled beyond reason.

Jasper wanted to see how the master would handle it, unexpectedly she wanted to make light of the situation.

Raising his eyebrows, he was a bit dissatisfied but didn’t show it immediately: "I have some matters in the company, so I won’t stay to enjoy tea."

He raised the cup, drank the last sip of tea, and stood up to leave.

No worries, he wouldn’t let this matter end just like that.
