Chapter 79: Chapter 79: He Wants to Collaborate with Nora Northwood
Nora’s business gradually got on track, and the sachet business was getting better and better.
Lily Sloan was still complaining to Nora Northwood, "Our shop is really a bit too small. How about we expand a bit? When the business grows, we’ll earn more."
She even began to imagine herself being a wealthier lady.
Nora pinched her little nose and smiled but didn’t agree.
"We don’t have that much capital right now. Let’s take it step by step and slowly progress. It would be even better if we could find a reliable partner."
She’s not in a rush for quick success; taking it step by step is the true way to earn money.
Just as she spoke, Aaron Lowell pushed the door open and came in. Seeing Lily’s guarded expression, he felt a bit disappointed.
"Why is Uncle here again?" She used the word "again," making it clear that she wasn’t welcoming her uncle’s frequent visits.
Nora felt a bit puzzled. What happened to Lily? She didn’t usually have this attitude towards her uncle.
Before she could ask, Aaron came over, saying, "Nora, I have something I want to discuss with you."
After speaking, he took out the contract he had prepared long ago. It stated that he wanted to collaborate with Nora, providing her with factory production and promotion, with the earnings divided seventy-thirty, Nora seventy, he only thirty.
On paper, this contract was hard to refuse, but Nora felt somewhat at a loss.
"Uncle, I can’t sign this contract. I want to collaborate, not just take advantage of gaining benefits." The contract was too favorable for her.
Business shouldn’t be like this; she couldn’t accept this windfall.
Lily proudly raised her chin, knowing Nora wouldn’t agree.
As expected, Aaron wasn’t too disappointed. "I knew you wouldn’t agree to this."
Saying that, he took out another contract, more formal than the previous one.
"Uncle, I..." Nora instinctively wanted to reject it, feeling that involving business with her uncle wasn’t right, especially when she seemed to be the greatest beneficiary.
But Aaron didn’t give her the chance: "Don’t hurry to reject. Let’s go to the café next door to discuss in detail. I’m a businessman; I naturally know how to maximize benefits."
Which was true; he understood Nora’s business value.
Besides admiration, there was genuine appreciation.
Nora pursed her lips, feeling awkward to decline further, nodded, and agreed to follow him.
Seated in front of the café, listening to Aaron’s business aspirations, she remained silent for a while.
"What’s wrong? Are you dissatisfied with something?" he asked gently, pushing the newly arrived strawberry cake towards her.
Just as she was about to speak, unexpectedly, the couple at the adjacent table started a physical altercation.
The woman picked up a chair intending to hit the man, but he dodged and ran towards Nora’s side, causing her face to turn pale instantly, unable to move her feet at all.
Aaron’s breath caught, his quick reflexes pushed her away, taking the hit of the chair for her.
"Uncle!" She was terrified, rushed over in a flurry to check on Aaron’s condition.
Nearby people had already dialed the police and called an ambulance. The troublemaking couple was taken away while they quickly got on an ambulance heading to the hospital.
Fortunately, after the examination, it turned out there was no major issue; rest was all that was needed to recover fully.
"I’m sorry, Uncle, it’s all because of me." Her eyes were red, and her tone carried regret.
But what Aaron wanted wasn’t merely her feeling sorry.
