Chapter 59: Chapter 59: Master Elaine
Nora Northwood nodded, "My husband."
She gave a brief introduction, and then Annie pulled her forward.
Although Annie felt familiar, she didn’t have the habit of staring at someone else’s husband.
Behind them, Jasper Sinclair sighed in relief, waved his big hand, bought the ring, and also got a necklace.
"By the way, I heard you mention before that you’re good at making sachets?" Annie suddenly asked. Nora, a bit puzzled, nodded anyway.
"Are you having trouble sleeping too? I’ll make one for you next time." She didn’t think much of it, assuming Annie just wanted a sachet from her.
Annie gave her a helpless look, "Giving me one is fine, but that’s not what I wanted to talk about today. Have you heard of Master Elaine?"
Elaine? Nora’s eyes widened. Of course, she had heard of her!
She’s a famous master in The Perfumery Circle and someone she admires.
"There’s a banquet in a few days, and she’ll attend. I’ll get you a ticket to go have fun; you might even get to meet the master up close."
She originally thought of visiting Nora, but this saved her a trip.
"How can I accept this?" Nora scratched her head, unsure of what to say. Tickets to a banquet with a master are surely hard to come by, but Annie managed to get one so easily.
"Oh, it’s nothing valuable. If you have any friends who want to go, I’ll get you a few more invitations. My dad’s business partners gave us a bunch."
Annie raised her eyebrows, leaving no room for Nora to refuse.
Just after she finished speaking, her phone rang. Frowning, she seemed to have something else to attend to and waved goodbye to Nora before leaving.
After she left, Jasper Sinclair came over.
"Was that your friend just now?" he asked, probing.
"Yes, we met by chance. Let’s head home." Nora smiled without saying much. She didn’t tell Mr. Sinclair that Annie had solved the problem with Christian Quinn, the jerk.
Passing by the clothing section, Nora glanced around.
She needed to attend the banquet and meet Master Elaine, after all.
After hesitating, she gritted her teeth and bought an upscale qipao.
Although it couldn’t compare to haute couture, the style was just as elegant.
She applied simple makeup and used a hairpin to casually fix her hair, giving an appearance both lazy and chic.
One must admit, traditional Chinese aesthetics are timeless!
Looking satisfied in the mirror, she took the invitation and headed out.
While others arrived in sports cars or luxury vehicles, she hailed a cab to get there.
The doorman took her invitation, bowed respectfully, and invited Nora in.
Once inside, her eyes widened.
Anyone unaware would think it was a beauty contest, with all the ladies dressed brightly, their perfume lingering in the air.
She quietly found a corner, picked up a champagne from a waiter’s tray, and watched the lively scene.
"I wonder if I’ll get to see Master Elaine today," she said softly, pouting slightly like a chipmunk.
As she spoke, a man’s light laughter came from beside her.
"Who’s there?" she asked cautiously, turning to see a man in a suit.
However, he had a youthful appearance, looking much younger than Nora.
"Sorry, I seem to have disturbed you. But I just heard you mention wanting to meet Master Elaine. Are you a fan?" His voice was crisp and full of youthful energy, making one instinctively question his age. Just turned adult? Or does his voice just sound young?
