Chapter 21: Chapter 21: Willing to Give a 100,000 Bridal Price
Louis Hayes nodded, and wisely didn’t say much.
The car arrived at the company.
Just as he stepped out of the elevator, Jasper Sinclair received a call from his cousin, Nina Sinclair.
"Bro! I just heard that Anna is already back in the country, be careful!" Nina’s anxious voice came from the other end of the line.
Hearing her words, he rubbed his temples.
"I know." No, he couldn’t say he knew, he had run into her.
Letting out a long breath, he looked at the woman making a scene in the hall with a stern face.
"That’s as much as I can warn you." With that, Nina hung up with a snap.
What she didn’t know was, Jasper Sinclair had already crossed paths with Anna on this end of the line.
"Jasper!" Anna exclaimed, trying to rush over, but fortunately, the bodyguard quickly intercepted her, or else they would definitely lose their jobs.
"I already told you to stop pestering me, I’m not interested in you. If you don’t want the Anson Family to be dragged down by you, you’d better stay away from me."
His tone was displeased, but Anna seemed to not understand.
If it weren’t for the favor the Anson Family had done for his grandfather in the past, how could he have tolerated her till now.
Anna wasn’t afraid at all: "How do you know you’re not interested unless you try? You’re unmarried, I’m unmarried, why can’t I go after you."
She raised her face proudly as she spoke.
Louis Hayes on the side almost wanted to give her a thumbs up, this Miss Anson really dares to speak her mind.
He bet that if it weren’t for the favor from the Anson Family, President Sinclair would have definitely had her torn to pieces by now.
"Heh." Jasper sneered instantly, looking at her with impatient eyes: "Then chase from a distance. You’re an eyesore. Security, if you let anyone in without permission again, you can forget about working here!"
After saying so, he turned and went upstairs.
"Jasper!" Anna saw him turn and leave, and hurriedly tried to catch up.
But now the security was on high alert, and once she made a move, they immediately stopped her, holding her down tightly.
"Sorry, Miss Anson, the President has spoken, you cannot stay here."
"Let go of me! You few are quite brave, don’t touch me!" She struggled, but her small arms and legs were no match.
"Apologies to Miss Sinclair, please don’t make it hard for me, after all, it was the President’s orders." The words implied that it was President Sinclair who instructed them to do so.
Anna gritted her teeth, her dissatisfaction in her heart, but she didn’t dare to cause a scene here.
Snorting, she stomped her foot and left.
Upstairs, watching her leave, Jasper Sinclair’s expression finally softened a bit: "Keep the Anson Family in check. Although there is gratitude, don’t go too far."
Louis Hayes nodded and then left.
Sitting in the office, Jasper Sinclair, for some reason, suddenly thought of Nora Northwood, wondering what that woman was doing now.
Meanwhile, in the flower shop, Nora Northwood and Lily Sloan both looked displeased at the woman in front of them.
Christian Quinn’s mother wore a domineering expression.
"Stop causing trouble, ten thousand as a bride price is our Quinn Family’s final offer. If you agree, get married, and you won’t need to keep this flower shop. Just stay at home and serve Christian well, and I’ll overlook everything."
No matter how she looked at Nora Northwood, she found her unappealing. If her son hadn’t insisted on wanting this woman, she wasn’t even willing to offer ten thousand.
Nora nearly burst out laughing, was ten thousand dollars supposed to buy her?
She knew Christian’s mother looked down on her, but she hadn’t expected it to be to this extent.
Before Nora could speak, Lily Sloan couldn’t hold back any longer.
"You people have it all planned out, ten thousand dollars, are you buying a person? What is Christian, some sort of young master? Born without the life of a master but got the illnesses of one, neither mother nor son are any good!"
