Chapter 185: Chapter 185: Time to Close the Net

"When I was about to fall, I turned back and took a glance, and Rachel Woodward just smiled at me."

"After that, I felt a strong force pulling me down."

Jasper Sinclair also thought of what happened next, his brows furrowed tightly, looking grim.

Rachel Woodward sure has some clever tricks!

Megan Underwood couldn’t help but curse, "Ugh, what a vicious mind!"

Nora Northwood felt set up, even though she won the competition, she wasn’t very happy anymore.

Jasper sighed and pulled her into his arms, "I’ll investigate this issue, you don’t need to feel pressured, just do what you need to do."

Having been schemed by the Woodward Family, he wouldn’t let it slide so easily.

If Rachel Woodward dares to act, she should be prepared to face the consequences.

After sending Megan home, he took Nora home too, and checked the surveillance footage on his phone, then sneered, "We can put the Woodward Family’s issue on hold for now, but we can wrap this one up."

Nora was stunned for a second, then realized what he was referring to.

Her lips curved slightly, but before she could react, a kiss was stolen from her lips.

The driver sitting in the front seat straightened his back, looking left and right, but dared not look in the rearview mirror.

This made Nora even more embarrassed; this man didn’t restrain himself even in front of the driver!

"After this is over, shall we move back to the villa?" he suddenly suggested, his voice hoarse and restrained.

Being with him these days, she instantly knew what was on his mind just by the tone.

She blushed, nodded, then shook her head, "The studio is closer here, and living here isn’t inconvenient."

She said, mainly because she wanted to work harder; otherwise, she always felt there was a huge gap between her and Jasper Sinclair, but staying here made her feel like they were just an ordinary couple.

He didn’t say anything because either place is still his house.

When they returned, Spencer Ford was leisurely sitting on the couch, playing video games.

Previously, May Lawrence had asked several times where the gaming console came from, but the little kid just retorted back.

Nora glanced at him but didn’t say anything.

Just when Spencer thought everything was fine, she suddenly asked Jasper a question.

"Jasper, where’s that watch you used to wear?"

At the mention of the watch, Spencer’s back suddenly straightened a bit; he unexpectedly thought of the watch he had sold.

It couldn’t be such a coincidence, his brother-in-law is so wealthy, how could he have only one watch?

He was still a bit hopeful until he heard Jasper reply, "The one with the sapphire back? I remember putting it in the study."

With a clatter, the game console fell from his hands.

He remained stunned in place, oh no, it really was the one he sold!

Jasper squinted at him, "What’s wrong?"

"N-nothing, I just slipped," Spencer pretended to be calm.

But he didn’t know; to outsiders, he just looked guilty.

"Why don’t you look for it, someone asked about that watch before, they said the offer was three and a half million, I figured you weren’t wearing it, so I agreed," Nora murmured.

"Three and a half million?" Spencer couldn’t help but exclaim.

That old man only gave him fifty thousand, treating him like a beggar?

For a moment, he couldn’t decide if he was more scared or more angry.

"What’s wrong now?" Jasper was a bit unhappy.

"Maybe he’s never seen so much money, and got excited," Nora shrugged her shoulders.

She looked at him meaningfully, then softly added in his defense.
