Chapter 196: Visiting Rachel at the Hospital

Chapter 196: Chapter 196: Visiting Rachel at the Hospital

It took quite a while to settle, but once everything was fine, Nora called Megan in.

Upon entering, Megan gave Nora and Jasper a suggestive look.

That look made Nora even more embarrassed; she’s naturally thin-skinned, and this time she couldn’t handle it.

If Jasper hadn’t given her a cold glance, she might not have restrained herself.

Clearing her throat lightly, she started discussing the serious matter with Nora.

"The new product we planned to launch this quarter might have to wait. For some reason, our design concept clashed with theirs at Courtesy."

Luckily, we found out today that the factory order would be delayed; otherwise, we might have launched today.

Although the design concept was said to clash, in reality, they just plagiarized our new product.

Nora nodded, sharing a sense of relief.

"Since there’s still time, let’s postpone for now. The rest can be taken care of by you and Yvonne."

There’s been too much going on lately, things not going well, taking a break is a good thing.

Megan had the same thought, and after deciding, she turned to leave.

"Yuna plagiarized your product?" he asked a bit uncertainly.

After hearing this, Nora shook her head, "It shouldn’t be her. She’s such an arrogant person; how could she stoop to plagiarism?"

Not only does Nora not believe it, but even Jasper doesn’t.

"It looks like something’s gone wrong internally at Courtesy; we probably don’t need to do anything for now."

With conflicting concepts, Yuna and the people in charge at Courtesy naturally wouldn’t see eye to eye.

The two didn’t dwell on this matter, packed their things, and left.

Back home, after dinner, the two sat on the couch and began analyzing the surveillance footage.

He hadn’t had the chance to check it out in the afternoon, but now seeing it made his brow furrow.

The footage was found, but it’s completely useless.

"Tomorrow, let’s pay a visit to the hospital; I’ll meet with Rachel Woodward. She couldn’t possibly have no loopholes."

Jasper hesitates to agree; who knows what the Woodward Family might pull next.

"I’ll think about it some more."

"She must have anticipated that the surveillance footage would be useless. Instead of passively waiting for new evidence, it’s better to face it head-on."

Her bold statement made him suddenly chuckle.

Unexpectedly, the little one seemed fearless.

"In that case, I’ll go with you tomorrow." He ruffled her hair, and they went to their room to rest.

At bedtime, she glared angrily with her almond-shaped eyes at the misbehaving man beside her.

But she couldn’t fend him off, and in the middle of the night, she was thoroughly taken advantage of, vowing to sleep in the guest room.

But Jasper wouldn’t agree to that anyway.

The next morning, she rubbed her sore waist and headed to the hospital room, seemingly intentionally. As she entered, Rachel immediately understood what happened.

Clenching her teeth, she looked up displeased.

What’s this person doing here? To flaunt?

The Woodward Family wasn’t in the hospital; only a nurse was keeping Rachel company.

Rachel waved for her to leave, and then looked impatiently at Nora.

"What brings you here?"

"You won; we’ve looked at the surveillance footage for days and found nothing suspicious." Nora said calmly, unintentionally sizing up the woman in front of her.

For her part, Rachel remained composed, with no change in expression after hearing her.

"What’s Mrs. Sinclair talking about? I don’t understand. Since the surveillance malfunctioned, are you here to apologize?" She looked up at Nora.

Her eyes carried a hint of a smile, with some hidden smugness.
