Chapter 209: Chapter 209: The Twenty-Four Solar Terms
The wind howled with a wild arrogance, sweeping through with the unique restlessness of autumn.
Nora Northwood appeared at the entrance of VK in a knitted bodycon dress, adjusting the wind-blown potted plants back into place.
She stepped inside and tidied her slightly disheveled hair, muttering, "The wind is really strong today."
"Stanton City won’t be at peace, it seems."
Nora sensed a deeper meaning in Lily Sloan’s words and looked at her with a puzzled expression.
Megan Underwood chimed in, "It seems like our Nora doesn’t know what’s happened."
Yvonne Winslow silently placed the latest trending topic in front of them, revealing a bold and enlarged headline: "Master Perfumer Elaine’s Former Apprentice Makes a Name!"
At this, Nora understood and, with a finger on her chin, analyzed, "It looks like Yuna Hughes has ended her collaboration with the company ’Li Yu’."
"Just had a new product launch yesterday and now pulling this stunt today, really something she’d do."
"Probably trying to ride ’Li Yu’s’ wave of popularity."
The group huddled around the computer, discussing the Yuna Hughes incident for a short while.
With the gossip concluded, Nora introduced the main topic: "I’ve been researching some materials these past few days regarding VK’s new product, and I have some new plans."
As soon as she finished speaking, those with notebooks took out their notebooks, and those on computers got to typing.
The laughter-filled atmosphere immediately disappeared, replaced by serious expressions all around.
"There are twenty-four solar terms in a year, averaging a solar term every half-month. Currently, there are no fragrance products on the market themed around these solar terms. I believe we can use this as our focus, not only as a selling point but also to promote our country’s traditional culture."
Megan was the first to respond: "The culture of solar terms has already been included in The Global Assembly’s intangible cultural heritage, I think this approach is viable."
Nora continued, "We can also educate the public about relevant wellness knowledge. For instance, during the ’End of Heat’ solar term, temperatures drop significantly within three days, serving as a reminder that the damp and cold season has arrived."
As she explained this knowledge, she marveled at the wisdom of the ancients.
Through discussion, they finally decided to launch the new product on October 8th, during the ’Cold Dew’ solar term.
Immediately, Nora outlined the work plans for each individual.
She went on to say: "There’s one month until the product launch. Megan and I will handle the product itself. In the first month, we’re making a frozen persimmon fragrance. Are we confident we can create a satisfying product within a month?"
"Of course." Megan remained as confident as ever, as if radiating light from head to toe.
Nora turned her attention to Yvonne: "Yvonne will handle the copywriting and manage all the platforms; can you handle it alone?"
"I’m okay with it."
Finally, it was Lily’s turn, her eyes full of anticipation. "Lily, coordinate for some promotional photos, contact part-timers for simple street marketing, and design an event layout."
"Mission guaranteed!"
"For the media and industry guests invited on the day, I’ll call Annie later and have her handle it."
The reason Nora entrusted this task to Annie was because the status of The Anson Family was the highest among them and had the broadest network.
Though Megan had her moment of fame, she’d been reclusive for a long time, and additionally, Nora didn’t know what burdens Megan carried on her shoulders, so she didn’t dare take any risks.
With everything arranged, the group showed an impressive level of initiative and immediately rolled up their sleeves to start preparing.
In the fifty-square-meter perfumery room, Nora changed into a white lab coat and sat solemnly under the desk lamp.
