Chapter 210: Chapter 210: I Want to Create a Unique Fragrance
"In the first month, we’ll use a fruity note as the primary tone, with an eau de toilette concentration of ten to fifteen percent," Nora Northwood murmured as she selected suitable essences.
Compared to her caution, Megan Underwood’s actions were much more casual.
During this, Megan asked, "By the way, what made you think of using persimmon as a scent? It’s not a common fragrance in the market."
Nora replied without moving her eyes, "It’s a long story. I grew up in the north when I was little, and every winter, my family would make frozen persimmons themselves. After moving south, it became rare to have them."
"Indeed, the seasons aren’t as distinct here as they are in the north. You don’t even catch a glimpse of snow all year long here."
When working, Nora easily became engrossed, and by the end of the morning, she had finally crafted a scent she was satisfied with.
"Megan, come over and have a smell."
Megan watched as Nora’s eyebrows and eyes seemed to dissolve with delight, and agreed, "It seems you truly love creating scents."
After all, one’s eyes can’t lie.
Nora carefully brought the test tube close to Megan’s nose, leaving a few centimeters of space.
She carefully observed Megan’s expression, trying to discern something from it.
Sure enough, Megan’s eyes lit up. After closing her eyes to sense it, she gave a fair evaluation, "The top note is very fruity. Anyone new to this kind of scent will find it stunning."
"The middle and base notes have a bit of bitterness. I’m not sure how the public will accept this taste."
"It’s completely fine. According to market research over the past three years, the public’s demand for scents has moved beyond just sweet and cloying fragrances."
With Megan’s words, Nora’s confidence soared, and she sincerely thanked her, "I want to create something different. Thank you for supporting me."
This product launch was different from previous ones. It was an opportunity she fought for to showcase herself, aiming for VK to have a significant place in The Perfumery Circle.
"Remember to keep the formula."
"Okay."
Until the sun set, the perfume room was filled with Nora’s soft breathing and the occasional sound of glass clinking.
She had concocted a few other scents of the same type, but unfortunately, the middle and base notes of these weren’t very satisfactory.
In the end, they had to be poured into the sink, washed away with the running water from the tap.
Nora was the only one left in the studio. Seeing that it was getting late, she decided to wrap up and head home.
When she picked up her phone, she noticed a message from Jasper Sinclair: Coming home at half-past nine tonight.
She casually replied with a "Got it" and then changed clothes, preparing to head back to Southwood Court.
On the way back by taxi, she happened to pass by The Sinclair Group’s headquarters.
It was the evening rush hour, and the traffic was jammed. The taxi was stuck on this road, caught in a situation where it was difficult to move forward or backward.
Nora seemed a bit distracted. She gazed out the window, her long lashes hiding the emotions in her eyes, lost in thought.
Suddenly, a novel idea popped into her mind. She told the driver, "Driver, I’ll get off here."
After getting out of the car, Nora headed straight for The Sinclair Tower, but stopped in front of a pastry shop on the street.
She pondered whether it would be inappropriate to visit Jasper at the company empty-handed on her first visit.
She turned and went inside.
When she re-emerged on the street, she was holding a beautifully crafted small box.
Nora walked straight to the reception counter, "Excuse me, is President Sinclair in the office?"
