Chapter 211: Chapter 211: Gossip in the President’s Office

The receptionist didn’t answer Nora Northwood’s question directly but instead asked, "Are you here to discuss cooperation with President Sinclair?"

Nora swallowed nervously; she had forgotten that her marriage to Jasper Sinclair hadn’t been widely publicized.

Now, she felt a bit troubled.

She couldn’t just tell the receptionist, "I’m the wife of your president," could she?

She was hesitating about whether to call Jasper Sinclair.

Coincidentally, Louis Hayes had just finished seeing off a client and saw Nora standing somewhat stiffly at the reception desk.

He guessed that the receptionist didn’t know who Nora was and quickly went over to greet her, "Madam, are you here to see President Sinclair?"

"I was just passing by and thought I’d see him."

Their conversation stunned the receptionists, and they exchanged bewildered glances.

President Sinclair is married?

A secret marriage?

Speaking of which, this situation was all because Jasper Sinclair disliked being photographed by the media.

So, no one in the company knew that their big boss was already married.

The receptionist watched Nora’s gradually receding figure and said to her coworker, "It looks like the girls in the company are going to cry themselves to sleep."

Top floor.

The person in the room seemed to be losing their temper, "Was the proposal from the Energy Research Institute written by a grade schooler?"

The subordinate in front of the desk couldn’t lift their head due to Jasper Sinclair’s words.

Louis Hayes brought Nora into the office, "President..."

The commotion at the door interrupted their conversation, and Jasper Sinclair glanced up to see Nora, momentarily surprised.

He told the project manager at the desk, "Revise the plan and have the final version ready for me by tomorrow night."

Once everyone left, he immediately went over and took Nora’s hand.

"Nora, why didn’t you let me know you were coming?"

Jasper felt a pang of regret: Oh no, my wife caught me losing my temper!

Nora put down the items in her hand and explained, "There was a traffic jam, and I got stuck right by your company."

She looked at the man, who exuded an extraordinary aura even in a simple shirt.

Louis quietly slipped out of the office, leaving the space for the two of them.

After he left, Nora relaxed a bit and teased, "You’re so fierce when you work."

"I’m not fierce with you." With that, Jasper pulled her into his embrace.

A cool, brisk aura enveloped her; leaning against his chest, Nora found it a bit hard to breathe but reluctant to let go.

They hadn’t contacted each other all day, and meeting now, their longing for each other nearly overflowed.

"Jasper, your heartbeat is so fast." Like a drum, his heartbeat almost made Nora melt right there.

"I miss my wife."

"I brought you something delicious!"

The precious alone time they seized after a day apart felt like a wound-up coil, with the dessert untouched halfway, when Louis knocked on the door from outside, "President Sinclair, the video meeting starts in fifteen minutes."

Due to time zone differences, Jasper was working late tonight.

Before leaving the office, he instructed Nora, "There’s a small office here where you can rest if you’re tired. If you’re bored, take a walk around the building. I’ll be back in about an hour."

Nora obediently agreed.

She watched his decisive and swift departure from the office, exuding the demeanor of a business elite.

It seemed that the man here was even closer to the resolute President Sinclair rumored outside.

In a daze, Nora found this side of Jasper to be a bit unfamiliar, yet it made her want to get closer.

"Jasper Sinclair..." she murmured his name, her heart brimming with sweetness.
