Chapter 223: Chapter 223: Order Volume Doubles

Nora accepted the call with a businesslike attitude, "Hello, this is Nora Northwood, the person in charge of VK."

"Miss Northwood, I previously ordered a batch of fragrances from you, and due to some misunderstandings, the order was canceled. Now I want to reorder. Should I pay a deposit first or how should we proceed?"

Upon hearing the voice and request on the other end, Nora did have some impression.

She answered warmly, "A deposit of thirty percent is required, and the remaining balance will be settled when the contract is signed."

The person on the other end repeatedly agreed.

After the call ended, Megan Underwood glanced at her with bright eyes, "Good things come in pairs."

In the next few hours, calls to VK were incessant.

Lily Sloan broke the good news, "All the orders from bosses who previously returned their goods are now reordered, and more people are booking our fragrances!"

Nora’s hand holding the signing pen tightened, unable to suppress the quickening of her heartbeat.

"Speaking of which, we must thank Rachel Woodward for pushing us into the limelight, giving VK some publicity."

On the other side of Stanton City, within The Sinclair Group.

Jasper Sinclair looked at Nora’s handiwork, a mischievous smile playing on his lips.

He informed Louis Hayes, "Buy a week’s worth of trending searches for this ID."

After arranging company matters, Jasper glanced at his afternoon schedule, and after confirming there were no important meetings, he elegantly left the building.

Louis Hayes watched his boss’s departing figure, thinking: hopelessly devoted to his wife.

The parking lot lights were dim, and Jasper personally drove slowly toward VK.

With just one traffic light remaining before reaching VK, Jasper made a phone call.

"Nora, come out; I’m taking you to meet someone."

When Nora received the call, she was a bit confused but followed Jasper’s instructions.

She changed out of her plain lab outfit, revealing the clothes underneath. Her mint green dress made her look like a forest fairy, drawing countless glances from passersby as she exited.

On the street, she immediately spotted Jasper’s car, a sleek black Maybach, with a very substantial appearance.

She crossed the street, looking left and right, habitually trying to open the back door of the car.

Nora tried opening it twice but couldn’t open it.

At this point, the driver’s side window rolled down, and Jasper’s arm rested on the steering wheel’s edge as he said to her, "Sit in the front passenger seat."

Nora, bathed in sunlight, broke into a bright smile, her already chubby baby face looking even puffier.

The light inside the car was dimmer, allowing Nora to relax her expression and finally voice the question that had been on her mind, "Who are you taking me to meet?"

Jasper withdrew his gaze and refocused on the road ahead, speaking unhurriedly, "A lawyer."

Nora responded with a gentle nasal hum, her tone questioning.

"Aren’t we going to send Rachel Woodward a lawyer’s letter?"

Upon hearing this, Nora understood Jasper’s intention.

When she made a statement, she mentioned the lawyer’s letter, but unfortunately, she didn’t know any professional lawyers’ team and merely said it to intimidate others.

A dozen or so minutes later, the car came to a gentle stop at the entrance of a law firm.

Their eyes focused on the signboard, estimating that the storefront wasn’t large.

"Let’s go in." Jasper held Nora’s hand and led her further inside.

At the front desk, someone was waiting for them.

Upon seeing Jasper and Nora appear, the person led them into an office.

In front of a square table, a man with gold-rimmed glasses sat solemnly, his lenses reflecting his sharp eyes.
