Chapter 242: Chapter 242: Rosewood
She was startled to find that Nora’s hands were very beautiful.
It’s often said that a woman’s hands are her second face, and she had rarely seen hands as slender and delicate as Nora’s, resembling white jade.
When the essential oil dripped into her palms, Nora’s hand lines were exposed to the camera, with the veins at her wrists faintly visible, making one irresistibly want to grasp them.
"Oh no."
Nora looked regretfully at the reagent bottle, she accidentally squeezed more than enough oil, and a sugary sweet scent began to tickle her nose, making her itch.
Megan Underwood watched her sneeze twice but couldn’t get it out, finding it amusing.
"Lost in thought, are you missing your President Sinclair?"
Nora pouted, "My wrist is a bit sore, Megan, stop teasing me."
Megan smiled and shook the reagent bottle, signaling her to leave.
"The data from the reagents have been recorded, today’s work ends here, go home and rest early."
"Okay."
On the way back to Southwood Court, Nora’s right eyelid kept twitching, the saying goes, left eyelid wealth, right eyelid disaster, which made her a bit anxious.
She looked at her phone but found no messages.
As it was near the end of the workday, Jasper’s car appeared across from the studio.
He sent a message to Nora: "You can come out now."
Nora glanced at the increasingly heavy rain outside and tied her hair into a bun at the back.
The studio’s umbrella had been taken by others, just as she was about to dash across the street, Jasper walked over holding an umbrella.
Their eyes met, Jasper wrapped an arm around her shoulders, "I knew you wouldn’t check the weather forecast."
"The rain came so suddenly, they say a typhoon will hit the mainland in the coming days."
As they walked, they chatted casually.
"News says the wind force is up to level ten, commerce in neighboring provinces has already shut down, Stanton City isn’t far."
Arriving at the car, Jasper put away the umbrella.
By now, the rain had washed the streets clean in just one afternoon.
Though the wind was strong, the air was pleasant.
With an uneasy feeling, she returned home, but thankfully, everything was fine.
Once home, Jasper made a cup of ginger tea and handed it to her, then nestled with Nora on the sofa.
Nora, barefoot in the man’s embrace, was enveloped by his unique masculine scent, which finally eased her anxiety.
She asked quietly, "Jasper, have you had dinner yet?"
"Not yet, I ordered Korean food and wanted to wait for you to eat together."
When it came to meals, the two were surprisingly in sync.
In the evening.
Nora enthusiastically shared with Jasper her research achievements from the day.
Jasper gazed at her chattering mouth, feeling a stir in his heart.
"Our Nora is really amazing, why don’t I manage the house and you take care of me?" He joked.
Nora seriously considered for a moment with a tightened face, eventually concluding, "It’s not impossible!"
Once VK grows big enough, even with Jasper’s usual expenses, without concerning himself with The Sinclair Group, she would have the ability to take care of him and keep him well-fed!
Seeing her expression, Jasper couldn’t help but laugh, tucking the strands of hair loose on her cheek behind her ear.
"Speaking of it, I owe it to grandma for having such an outstanding wife."
"By the way, we haven’t visited her in quite some time."
"Once you’re done with this busy period, let’s go back to the old house."
Actually, grandma had called to inquire, Jasper knew Nora had been busy lately, so he hadn’t mentioned it.
