Chapter 243: Chapter 243: Doing Something Else
The bright moon rose high in the sky.
Jasper Sinclair noticed Nora Northwood was still bursting with energy, and he gripped her waist, "Since you can’t sleep, we can do something else."
Upon hearing this, Nora instantly wilted.
She lowered her eyes, intentionally avoiding Jasper Sinclair’s increasingly heated gaze.
"Honey, you’ve been busy with work lately and have grown colder toward me," Jasper Sinclair said with a hint of discontent.
Nora knew that tonight she wouldn’t be able to escape.
Her voice was charmingly sweet, "It’s my oversight, I’ll make it up to you tonight."
Her words seemed to unlock Jasper Sinclair’s restraints, and the man shifted into a new position, his arms propped up on either side of her shoulders.
A fresh and clear scent quickly spread to every corner of Nora’s body.
She could feel Jasper Sinclair’s powerful heartbeat, so she naturally wrapped her arms around his neck.
...
The next day.
Nora was awakened by the alarm clock, still in a sleepy daze.
"Honey, get up for breakfast."
Jasper Sinclair, like a well-fed young pup, was full of energy now, not at all like someone who had been up until the wee hours.
In contrast, the dark circles under Nora’s eyes stood out starkly.
"It’s all your fault; I didn’t sleep well last night."
"Why don’t you take the day off and not go to work."
"No," Nora said, yawning and shaking her head.
"Then go a bit later; I’ll hold you for a nap."
As soon as Jasper mentioned sleeping, Nora jumped out of bed as fast as if she was being chased by a wild beast.
Jasper smiled helplessly and went to the bathroom to squeeze her toothpaste.
After breakfast, Nora took Jasper’s car to VK Studio.
Throughout the ride, she maintained the same position, with the back of her hand supporting her chin.
Time passed as she daydreamed.
At nine o’clock, they stopped precisely across the street from the studio.
Jasper reminded her, "Honey, we’re here."
"Be safe, see you tonight."
After their goodbyes, they went in opposite directions.
That day, Nora finally completed the three fragrance collaboratives with Rhea; she was eager to sign the formal contract.
Meanwhile, VK Studio’s account gained a small group of followers across platforms.
In Nora’s anticipation, the day of evaluation finally arrived.
In a hundred-square-meter meeting room, Manager Morton, as the representative of Rhea’s branch, sat across from Nora.
At this point, her address for Nora had changed from Miss Northwood to Boss Northwood.
"I’m fortunate that during the previous misunderstanding, you were willing to strive for VK, and in that way also contributed to Rhea’s efforts."
After Rhea widely used VK’s fragrances and received unanimous praise, Manager Morton planned to report this matter to headquarters once the contract was signed.
Currently, she only represented this single branch in collaboration with Nora; regarding other branches, decisions would have to be discussed with the headquarters first.
Manager Morton’s words were like a pool of spring water, filling Nora’s heart with greater anticipation.
"Manager Morton, likewise, thank you for giving me another chance, here’s to a successful collaboration."
"Successful collaboration, looking forward to more good news from me."
The contract was in duplicate, and Nora brought her copy back to VK Studio.
On her way back, her steps felt light as air.
This collaboration not only brought VK financial benefits but also provided future promotional material, using "Rhea Co-branding" as a selling point.
