Chapter 105: Chapter 105: Stole Her Man
Nora Northwood held her wine glass, intending to head to the lounge area.
The high heels she wore today were extremely tiring, and with her current lack of status, she couldn’t converse with those top-tier perfumers.
She wasn’t particularly bothered by this; she knew she needed more experience.
Just as she was about to grab something to eat, a girl beside her accidentally knocked over her champagne, spilling it all over Nora’s clothes.
"Sorry, I didn’t see you," the girl hurriedly apologized.
She waved her hand to indicate it was fine and went to the bathroom.
Though she hadn’t noticed the flash of malice in the girl’s eyes.
Once in the bathroom, she did a quick clean-up, ensuring not too much champagne remained before feeling relieved.
She turned around to leave, but three or four women walked in simultaneously.
Considerately, she stood to the side to let them pass, yet the next moment, they surrounded her.
The last one in even locked the door tightly.
As dumb as she might be, she knew they were here to cause trouble.
"Who are you?" she asked coldly.
She had come alone today, so if any trouble arose, no one would notice.
On the surface, she remained calm, but inside, she was extremely nervous.
"Didn’t expect you to have guts, but if you dare steal my friend’s man, you need to be taught a lesson."
The leader seemed like a thug, though despite wearing high-quality clothes, her demeanor wasn’t ladylike.
"Who is your friend? I’m already married and don’t know what you’re talking about." She said, preparing to leave.
But the woman suddenly pushed her forcefully, causing her to stagger back and slam against the sink, her waist aching sharply, making her grimace instantly.
"Bitch, already married yet seducing others, truly shameless!"
Nora was bewildered by the insults, yet the opponent stubbornly refused to reveal who was behind this.
Seeing the situation, someone nearby quickly handed over a basin of water.
"Today, I will be the one to enforce justice, letting those men see what you’re truly about, so you don’t go seducing others again!"
As she spoke, the water was about to be poured over Nora’s head.
Nora raised her hand to block, and the woman trying to douse her didn’t escape; both ended up soaked.
The difference was the woman’s makeup was ruined, looking terrifying, while Nora hardly wore any, just slightly wet.
Unappeased, they were about to resort to physical violence when suddenly the bathroom stall was kicked open with a bang.
"What’s with the barking in here?" Annie said, somewhat displeased.
She turned, surprised to find Nora there; she hadn’t had time to express her shock before seeing Nora’s drenched hair.
"Meeting you in situations like these again," Nora said somewhat helplessly. Last time, that scumbag Christian Quinn appeared, and Annie suddenly intervened, just like now.
"Perhaps I’m your savior," Annie replied.
The two started chatting casually, while the woman nearby wouldn’t relent, biting her teeth, ready to charge.
Without any practice, she was nowhere near Annie, the taekwondo black belt.
In mere moments, Annie subdued them and, ignoring these trash, pulled Nora away.
"I haven’t asked you yet, why were you surrounded by them?" she frowned, somewhat puzzled.
Nora was equally clueless, so she recounted the events exactly as they happened.
Once she finished, Annie understood: "Looks like it was Jade Lockwood’s doing."
"Impossible, although I overshadowed her, when did I steal her man?"
