Chapter 104: A War Between Two Women

Chapter 104: Chapter 104: A War Between Two Women

Jade Lockwood felt a deep hatred, but she didn’t dare say much.

She’s the little princess of the Lockwood Family, having whatever she wants, yet now she has to bow to Nora Northwood, that wretched girl.

Her father wants to adopt this girl as his goddaughter? Dream on!

"Hey, in a couple of days, my family is hosting a banquet. You must come. I’ll show you a good show then!"

A flicker of cold disdain flashed in her eyes, and she snorted, just waiting for Nora to take the bait on that day.

...

Two days later, the Lockwood Family’s banquet was held as scheduled.

This time Nora represented not only herself but also her studio.

In these two days, she not only secured a factory but also found a new office, hired a few people, and her small brand was officially born!

Creating a brand seemed simple, but no one knew how many places she rushed to during this period.

"Miss Northwood." Zane Lockwood saw her and greeted her: "Today, all the skilled people from The Perfumery Circle are present. If you want any contact information, you can ask me, and I’ll help you obtain it."

He didn’t care how others viewed his current attitude, only knew that doing so would serve the Sinclair Family well.

Business is about flexibility; others would consider he has a generous spirit, being so considerate to a young girl.

"That would be a great help, Mr. Lockwood."

Nora responded with a smile.

Today, she wore a black dress with lace designs on the back.

She only wore simple pearl earrings, and on her hand, there was a large pearl ring.

Despite wearing no jewelry on her neck, her slender and prominent collarbones attracted quite a bit of attention.

When people mentioned her, aside from admiring her abilities, her attractive appearance and good figure naturally came up.

Several designers took the initiative to chat with her, but most of them were merely exchanging pleasantries.

What surprised her, however, was seeing Yuna Hughes again; she was no longer the crazy person she used to be.

Now, she stood in the crowd, talking gracefully and appropriately with others, occasionally squinting with a smile, presenting herself on par with a master.

Perhaps sensing her gaze, Yuna merely raised her glass and nodded as a greeting.

Nora thought their interaction would just end there, but then Yuna walked over to her.

"Didn’t expect you’d attend this banquet." Her voice was calm, unlike the previous frenzied screams.

"The Lockwood Family surprisingly sent me an invitation."

The two of them conversed back and forth like old friends catching up after a long time.

"Nora, starting today, I officially declare war on you, solely through business. The outlets have returned to the starting line. Let’s see if you’re stronger, or if I’m the more skilled one."

The two women faced off, but in each other’s eyes, they saw the burning fighting spirit.

Yuna inherently doesn’t like to lose, coincidentally, neither does Nora!

With a subtle smile, she nodded: "Alright, though I didn’t expect you to change so quickly."

Yuna laughed self-mockingly, saying, "Just consider that as being immature before."

After saying that, she got up and left.

At this moment, the battle between the two women officially began, though limited to the business arena.

The banquet began, Jade Lockwood walked to the piano to play a tune for everyone.

As the melody ended, the crowd applauded in approval.

With her head held high, she resembled a proud peacock, basking in the praise from others.

One had to admit that this girl indeed had some skills, unfortunately, she’s too arrogant, the kind that can’t stand being on the losing end.
