Chapter 145: Hearts Gradually Losing Control

Chapter 145: Chapter 145: Hearts Gradually Losing Control

"You’re back." Nora suddenly snapped out of it, widened her eyes and slapped her thigh, "I forgot to cook."

Saying that, she hurriedly stood up to rush to the kitchen.

In the next moment, Jasper stopped her.

"No worries, let’s eat out today." He said as he lifted her up, the two of them headed out like they were on a date.

At the restaurant, they chose a seat by the window.

At first, Nora propped her face with her hand, just sitting there, daydreaming with low spirits.

"What’s wrong, share with me, maybe I could offer some useful advice." He coaxed patiently.

The waiter handed over the menu, she took it and ordered two of her favorite dishes, then sat on the side still lost in thought and doubting herself.

She was unsure whether to tell Jasper.

He didn’t push her, just waited patiently.

After ordering almost enough dishes, he ordered a good bottle of wine and some desserts for her.

After a while, she couldn’t help herself anymore; she indeed needed an outlet.

"Even though I thought I might not get much out of confronting Yuna Hughes, I didn’t expect the gap to be this wide."

This was what truly frustrated her.

It wasn’t because she lost, but realizing after losing, that she was far behind Yuna Hughes.

Thinking it was a big deal, Jasper heard her out and just smiled, shaking his head, "It’s quite normal, she grew up with Elaine and learned a lot by osmosis, it’s certain she has strong abilities; Elaine raised her as a daughter, which made her somewhat spoiled and unreasonable."

Nodding in agreement with Jasper’s words, she picked up a cup to drink some water.

She momentarily fell into confusion again, pondering how she could change her current situation?

As she spoke, the dishes started to arrive one after another.

Unexpectedly, the dishes Jasper ordered turned out to be all her favorites, and he even remembered her pet peeves of not liking ginger or garlic.

She didn’t like eating Western food, and it seemed like after this, Jasper rarely took her for it, unless absolutely necessary.

Thinking of this, her heart felt a bit sweet.

Suddenly, she realized, isn’t this feeling of falling in love?

Initially, the sweetness excites you like a young girl, then it settles into stability, and finally into a river-like consistent love.

She finally knew more about what her problems were.

In a good mood, she raised her hand to pour herself a glass of wine.

Jasper tried to stop her but was a step too late.

Raising his brows with a sly smile, he didn’t warn her, the wine had quite a strong aftereffect.

"I’ve found a master to teach you about fragrances, learning with her for a while should improve things a lot, I know you probably don’t want to study under Elaine." He said thoughtfully.

He had thought about it before, always wanting to surprise Nora.

Today seemed just right.

Her eyes suddenly gleamed, as if stars were hidden in them, making it hard for anyone to look away, Jasper couldn’t help but be drawn in.

He involuntarily gulped, how could he not know when Nora had such a strong attraction for him?

A hint of intoxication surged up, she turned a bit silly and childish.

But fortunately, she still retained some sense of clarity.

Sitting by the window, outside May Lawrence passed by with Spencer Ford, seeing the table full of delicious food, Spencer Ford threw a fit on the street.

The young lad suddenly started throwing a tantrum, "I want to eat too; take me there, or I’ll go home and tell my dad and he’ll beat you again!"
