Chapter 147: Chapter 147: Still Haven’t Learned Their Lesson
May Lawrence was stunned for a moment; although she dared to speak to Nora Northwood like that, she wouldn’t have the courage to face Jasper Sinclair.
But Spencer Ford wasn’t having it; why shouldn’t he get some of the good stuff?
Ignoring May Lawrence’s reminder and forgetting the last time Jasper Sinclair taught him a lesson, he slammed the table hard with a "bang." Jasper Sinclair’s face darkened, but he didn’t stop him; he just watched.
"I don’t care. If you don’t give it to me, I’ll go back and tell my dad, and both you and your mother will get beaten!"
With a spoiled demeanor, Nora Northwood turned her head, not intending to pay attention to this fool. May Lawrence shivered for a moment in fright. Originally, Jasper Sinclair just wanted to give these two a warning.
But listening to Spencer Ford’s words now, he changed his mind.
Listening to Spencer Ford’s shameless words, Nora wanted to scold him a few times, but Jasper Sinclair shook his head at her, then called over the waiter and handed the menu to Spencer Ford.
"See for yourself, order whatever you want."
Spencer Ford’s eyes immediately widened, feeling extremely pleased.
Didn’t expect this new brother-in-law to be so generous!
His dad was absolutely right!
His tiny eyes darted about, and he ordered quite a lot from the menu. Nora Northwood frowned, wanting to interrupt him, but Jasper Sinclair held her back.
He ordered six dishes in total, all expensive, including four Australian lobsters.
The more pleased he was, the happier Jasper Sinclair became.
After eating and drinking to his heart’s content, Spencer Ford wiped his mouth and was ready to leave.
May Lawrence hurriedly followed, saying nothing to Nora Northwood.
But as the two were about to reach the door, the waiter stopped them: "You haven’t settled the bill yet."
Pay the bill? May Lawrence was dumbfounded for a moment.
She looked incredulously towards Jasper Sinclair in the back.
At this moment, Jasper Sinclair elegantly wiped his mouth, looking fondly at Nora Northwood: "Are you full?"
Nora Northwood nodded, and they both stood up, ready to leave.
Passing by the front desk, May Lawrence was anxious and acted like she was about to grab them.
But Jasper Sinclair wasn’t easy to deal with; he pulled Nora Northwood, swiftly dodging her.
"Nora, what’s the meaning of this? Why do we have to pay?" Her eyes were red with urgency; how could she possibly have so much money!
Jasper Sinclair shrugged: "Your son ate without paying? Isn’t it natural to pay for meals?"
His tone was full of confusion, as if he couldn’t believe May Lawrence didn’t know this.
May Lawrence was embarrassed for a moment; she didn’t mean that.
Face flushed, she felt awkward in front of so many people and could only quietly ask, "Weren’t you treating us?"
She phrased it delicately, expecting an invitation; an uninvited guest, Jasper Sinclair scoffed.
"Nora might be kind, but that doesn’t mean I’m easy to bully. You came over on your own, did I say you wouldn’t need to pay for what you ordered? I would certainly buy what my wife wants to eat, but not for others."
He swept his cold gaze over them, and the waiter immediately understood what he meant.
He signaled to keep an eye on May Lawrence and her son, then called security personnel, fearing they would leave without paying.
After all, a bill of tens of thousands wasn’t a small amount.
"You wretch, how could you set us up!" Spencer Ford was anxious. Despite his young age, having spent so much time with Quentin Ford, he had learned to curse with dirty words.
People around looked at him with disdain; how could a child speak like this?
Spencer Ford couldn’t feel it; he even thought this was how a man should speak.
Jasper Sinclair raised an eyebrow; it seemed they hadn’t learned their lesson.
"Handle them as you see fit. I’m not familiar with them." Having said that, he left with Nora Northwood.
