"What delicious food did you make? The aroma has already wafted over there, making people's mouths water. Even the gluttons in my stomach are rumbling," said Number One.
"Spicy chopped fish head!" Ji Xingmi entered the dining room with several elders. The aunt was setting the table. Number One was the happiest and ate the most today; the dish was perfect for his palate. Ever since he moved in, he hadn't eaten so heartily.
After dinner, Ji Xingmi planned to make chili sauce. However, when she entered the kitchen, she was told it was already done. Ji Xingmi looked admiringly at the panda standing nearby. He just smiled shyly and left. Ji Xingmi took four jars of chili sauce out, giving one jar to each person. The rest were for Number One, as it was made for him in the first place. If she wanted some, she could make it herself in her space.
On the way back, Ji Xingmi received a message from Feng Changze. He said he had visited the old craftsman, but the craftsman still refused to sell. He asked Ji Xingmi what her next plan was. After reading the message, Ji Xingmi replied. Gu Jingyi was by her side and of course saw the content.
Gu Jingyi raised an eyebrow and asked, "Did you make plans with Feng Changze?"
"Yes, I'm planning to visit this artisan! What's up?" Kuai Shu Ge.
Gu Jingyi shook his head. Personally, he wasn't keen on Ji Xingmi interacting with Feng Changze further, but he couldn't stop her from making friends either. He knew she disliked being restricted.
"By the way, are you busy tomorrow? I still need to get clothes made. Want to go together?" Ji Xingmi recalled what Elder Hua had said earlier and asked the person in front of her.
"I should have a meeting tomorrow, so I probably won't have time."
Elder Hua, who had been talking to Elder Ye in front, overheard the conversation between the two youngsters and turned back to interject, "Jingyi, go with Xing'er tomorrow. Early next month, there's a banquet, and you two will attend together."
Gu Jingyi nodded upon hearing this, feeling a bit pleased. Ji Xingmi also nodded and then arranged a departure time with Gu Jingyi. She then sent another message to Feng Changze, changing the appointment.
"Can I go with you to see that artisan tomorrow?" Gu Jingyi asked, watching Ji Xingmi the whole time, pretending to be casual.
"Huh? Sure! Are you planning to come back alone tomorrow? I thought you were going to accompany me all day!"
"Of course, I just didn't want to intrude if you had other plans!" Ji Xingmi glanced at Gu Jingyi. His words hinted at a touch of possessiveness, and she raised an eyebrow without answering. Instead, she ran off to catch up with the two elders. Gu Jingyi smiled behind her and didn't follow. When Ji Xingmi and the others returned to the courtyard, Elder Hua handed Ji Xingmi a document to sign. Ji Xingmi glanced at it; it was the income report for the previous ventures. She only skimmed through it before signing and returning it to Elder Hua.
Elder Hua took the document, glanced at it, and then put it back in the safe. He then asked her, "With such a large income, what do you plan to do?"
"Use it to launch that project, I've already found the people!" Ji Xingmi replied without looking up, flipping through the book in her hand.
"Who?"
"Gao Yu. I'm taking sixty percent, and he and Feng Changze will split the remaining forty percent. I won't have to deal with anything related to him."
Upon hearing her words, Elder Hua glanced again at Ji Xingmi, who was reading a book in the distance, "So, you're planning to be a hands-off boss!"
Ji Xingmi shrugged, essentially admitting it. Elder Hua didn't refute her approach; instead, he thought it was a very good idea. He had investigated Gao Yu, or rather, he had investigated everyone around Ji Xingmi, including Chen Jiagong, who had now come to Kyoto. He knew everything.
So, he wasn't surprised that she would approach Gao Yu for this matter. Feng Changze was also a good child, capable, and a great strategist by Gao Yu's side. Most importantly, that child wouldn't betray her now.
"What's the plan for later?"
"I want a piece of land to build a large marketplace and stimulate the surrounding economy?" Ji Xingmi wasn't entirely confident as she didn't understand this area well, but she felt buying land wouldn't be a loss.
"Land cannot be bought and sold yet. Let's take it slow. This matter is still under discussion; it will be good if it passes later."
"That's what I think too!"
Elder Hua waved his hand, letting Ji Xingmi leave. He felt that this child had a new idea every day and needed to be reined in. He truly feared she might do something earth-shattering. Ji Xingmi and Gu Jingyi went out early in the morning, both to avoid the crowds of people attending the conference. However, when they arrived, the tailor was already there. Ji Xingmi looked at the fabrics in the shop, feeling overwhelmed. Every piece looked incredibly beautiful.
The tailor came over, measured Ji Xingmi, and said, "With such a good figure, I suggest you have two qipaos made. I think you'll look absolutely stunning in them!"
Ji Xingmi raised an eyebrow and didn't refuse. "Then what color do you think would suit me best?"
