Chapter 113: His Illness Returned?

Chapter 113: Chapter 113: His Illness Returned?

Ivana Monroe pushed Leon Keane out the door and shut it. She placed her small hand over her chest, exhaling deeply. Leon Keane was truly a dangerous man.

She had covered his mouth with her hand, and he... got aroused?

Even now, Ivana felt the sensation of heat in her palm, as if the warmth from his lips when he spoke hadn’t dissipated completely.

Ivana’s cheeks flushed red again, so much so that she felt they might bleed.

She shook her head, trying to dismiss the image of Leon looking at her with a beastly desire.

~~

Leon Keane left "Royal View Bay" with a face as bright as spring sunshine, his thin lips curled in a smile, a stark contrast to the gloomy expression he wore when he arrived.

Without his presence, she wouldn’t casually find a stepfather for Timmy.

This meant that Timmy’s biological father held a place in Ivana’s heart.

Thinking of how she covered his mouth, flustered and shy, Leon likened her to a vibrant rose, thorny yet exuding a captivating fragrance that no one could resist.

Leon felt the blood in his body rush downwards. He cursed softly, speeding up the car. It seemed like he would need another cold shower when he got home.

Wellbright Kindergarten.

Timmy Monroe found Ian Keane and told him that the time to end their parental exchange had come, and that tonight they would each return to their respective daddy and mommy.

Timmy’s handsome little face was full of excitement. He was finally going back to his mommy. Heaven knew just how uncomfortable and upset he’d been living at the Kane family residence these days.

Ian’s cold little face didn’t show the same excitement as Timmy’s, lacking any hint of happiness. Instead, he felt disappointed. Was he going to leave her so soon?

Would he not have her steak tonight? And not just tonight, but perhaps never again.

"Brother, brother, let’s change our clothes in the bathroom now!" Timmy suggested. Pretending to be "Ian Keane" these days, he had to keep a straight face so often that it was driving him crazy.

Ian stiffly nodded, following Timmy to the bathroom and starting to change clothes.

Timmy quietly shared with Ian the events that happened at the Kane family residence in recent days. Once they finished swapping shirts and pants, Timmy returned the little sunglasses to Ian, flashing a bright smile.

"Brother, your grandmother is returning soon! She’s brought you lots of gifts!"

Timmy noticed Ian’s cool little face and realized his brother wasn’t pleased. Mentioning their grandmother was meant to cheer Ian up.

But he was mistaken.

From the moment Ian arrived in Ravenswood, he was aware of his grandmother’s arrival time.

As for the gifts from his grandmother? Ian had already received so many that they didn’t excite him anymore.

"Do you like gifts? You can stay at the Kane family residence, and all the gifts from grandma are yours." Ian offered Timmy his sunglasses, implying that if Timmy accepted, he’d willingly exchange their clothes again.

"Thank you for your generosity, brother, but I haven’t been with mommy for many days, and I miss her." Thinking of taking gifts meant for his brother, Timmy couldn’t bring himself to do it.

Timmy was considerate. He wasn’t wrong; more than gifts, he yearned to be back with Ivana, for nothing compared to the joy and warmth of being by his mommy’s side.

Soon it was time for dismissal.

Timmy was the first to strap on his backpack, and as soon as the bell rang, he dashed out of the classroom.

Molly Mason watched Timmy in surprise. Why was he running so fast? Was there something to be excited about after school today?

"Mommy."

Timmy ran out the kindergarten gates, and there Ivana stood, outside. The young boy gleefully jumped into her arms, his little arms tightly encircling her neck, cuddly as a small beast rubbing affectionately against her.

Ivana was startled by the boy’s enthusiasm, "Timmy, what’s up with you?"

His behavior was as if she’d been away for days, yet they saw each other daily.

Ivana looked curiously at the little boy in her arms.

Realizing his behavior might not seem right, Timmy’s eyes flickered as he cleverly responded, "Today our teacher gave a lesson on how great a mother’s love is, and taught us the song ’Only Mom is the Best in the World.’ It moved me so much that I want to be a good baby, listen to mommy, and never be naughty or make trouble again."

Ivana laughed, "What a silly boy, you’re already so well-behaved. Having such an understanding baby like you, mommy is more than satisfied. Just be your wonderful self."

Ivana and Timmy left Wellbright Kindergarten, chatting and laughing, not noticing the other little boy standing inside, wearing sunglasses. He looked just like Timmy. His small lips were pressed tightly together, and behind the shades, his dark eyes were fixed on Ivana and Timmy’s linked hands as he slowly clenched his fists.

Kane family residence.

Ian returned home to find the dining table already set. Auntie Chamberlain stood awkwardly, and seeing the boy come home, her smile seemed more forced than tears.

This period, the boy had really pushed her to her limit, especially during mealtimes, where she’d dare not serve him or utter a word.

Ian walked to the grand dining table, paused briefly, then suddenly grabbed the luxurious tablecloth, flipping it. The valuable dishes on the table spilled everywhere, clattering as they hit the floor.

The scene left Auntie Chamberlain stunned.

Not just Auntie Chamberlain, but also the servants, driver, and bodyguards who rushed in were all shocked.

Ian kept a sullen face, exuding a chilly aura, forbidding anyone from approaching. He turned and walked up the spiral staircase. Moments later, the entire lower floor heard a loud "bang."

That was the sound of a door slamming shut.

Auntie Chamberlain, the driver, and the bodyguards shivered at the echoing sound.

"W-what happened? Little Ian... he was fine before yesterday..." Auntie Chamberlain’s trembling voice stuttered, recalling how Little Ian had troubled her less than today.

"Quick, quick... call President Kane, little Ian’s condition..."

"What happened to Ian? Is he having another episode?"

The driver’s words were cut short by a sweet, feminine voice.

Everyone turned to see Kiki Jennings, dressed in a pink dress.

"Miss Jennings? Why are you here?" Auntie Chamberlain exclaimed upon seeing Kiki, akin to seeing a family member. Despite being a housemaid, Kiki always treated her with respect.
