Chapter 425: Battle Between Father and Son

Chapter 425: Chapter 425: Battle Between Father and Son

Ivana Monroe was taken aback. Seeing Leon Keane’s pained expression, she felt an overwhelming guilt inside her. Thinking of the two children, Ivana’s heart clenched so tightly, she could barely breathe.

Leon Keane saw her remain silent, her head lowered. He suddenly kissed her, as if he could only truly feel her warmth, her presence, in that moment.

He received a call that Ivana was attacked by a hitman, and he was terrified to his core.

She was fine at the villa when he left in the morning, so how could she be attacked? The villa was arranged with bodyguards, and the surroundings were filled with alarm systems. Any stranger, without the owner’s consent, breaking into the villa would be discovered.

On the call, Derrick Stern told Leon Keane that Ivana was attacked in the parking garage of a certain building. Leon was deeply unsettled. She had promised him she wouldn’t leave the villa without permission.

Why was she so disobedient?

After a long moment, just as Ivana was about to faint, Leon finally let her go.

They both panted for breath.

Leon Keane returned to the driver’s seat and calmly continued driving.

Ivana was shaken.

Leon didn’t let Ivana teach Ian Keane how to swim that night.

Ian Keane was a very perceptive child. Seeing his father’s unusual expression, he sensed something had happened.

That night, after Ivana had fallen asleep.

Leon Keane opened his eyes, kissed her forehead, put on his slippers, and walked out of the room with very light footsteps.

The balcony garden outside the first floor.

Leon Keane dialed a number.

"Have you found out?"

"President Keane, we just found out... the hitman who attacked Madam at the XX building was called Ghost, a member of The Umbra Organization."

The Umbra Organization?

This was a world-class elite hitman organization.

The success rate reached above 90%.

Leon Keane felt a chilling fear all over; it was incredible that Ivana managed to escape from an Umbra Organization hitman.

Leon pressed a hand to his chest, his heart racing beyond his control.

He was scared; even though Ivana was safe, he remained scared.

Fearless as he was of the world, he was only afraid when it involved Ivana and the two children.

"Contact Richie, I want to talk to him, no matter the cost."

Richie was the number one in The Umbra Group and its current leader.

However, hiring Richie wasn’t easy; it came at a tremendous price.

In all of Ravenswood, those who could employ Richie numbered less than three.

"President Keane... I don’t think it’s necessary anymore... because Ghost... has already been killed."

Moreover, news came that... Ghost had been kicked out by The Umbra Group two years ago for breaking the rules.

Leon Keane frowned, "Who killed Ghost?"

Derrick Stern was silent for a moment, "This... hasn’t been uncovered yet."

Ghost was a member of The Umbra Group. To be able to kill Ghost, this person’s skills were undoubtedly formidable.

Who was silently aiding Ivana?

Leon Keane didn’t expect that the person "helping" Ivana was indeed also planning to kill her. The adversary was deeply hidden, making Leon believe he might have gained a new rival in love.

An exceptionally strong rival at that.

Leon Keane further instructed, "You must find out who this person is."

Derrick Stern: "Yes, President Keane."

It was actually quite difficult; he had reviewed all the surveillance footage and found no trace of this person, including in the parking garage of the XX building, only hearing the sound of gunshots, including Ghost’s hiding place. Yet, he couldn’t clearly see who killed Ghost.

This person appeared "vaporized" on the surveillance, like a misty silhouette. Initially, Derrick suspected someone had tampered with the surveillance because hackers could control all the building’s computers.

He attempted to restore the original footage, only to discover... no tampering had occurred; it was indeed "vaporization," which meant the adversary might have used high-tech means to appear as a vaporized entity on surveillance.

Derrick conveyed all this information to Leon Keane.

Leon Keane’s brow furrowed ever tighter: "I understand."

Leon Keane asked again, "Who sent Ghost?"

Derrick said, "Jack Quinn."

Hearing these two words, Leon Keane’s pupils suddenly constricted, his body exuding even more intent to kill.

Derrick said, "Jack Quinn received a large sum of money from his grandfather and used a portion of it to hire Ghost to assassinate Madam."

Pausing, Derrick added, "One more thing, Jack Quinn purchased three of the latest models of silenced pistols from abroad and gifted one to Kyle Sinclair and another to Julia Sinclair."

Jack Quinn?

It was Jack Quinn!

Leon Keane felt a severe chill, his fingers clenched tightly, almost crushing the phone.

"Bring him before me tomorrow."

"That’s... going to be difficult. Jack currently refuses to leave his house and is staying at his grandfather’s residence. His grandfather was a commanding officer in the H military, notable for first-class honors, with guards stationed daily at his home’s entrance. Trying to grab him would be suicidal!"

"President Keane, how about I send someone to watch him closely, and once he leaves his grandfather’s house, we can snatch him up. What do you think?"

"No need for that."

Leon Keane was eager to tear Jack Quinn to pieces; he could not wait any longer.

"Since you can’t do it, contact Richie; I believe he can get it done."

No matter how much money or the cost, he would make those who hurt Ivana pay doubly.

What else could Derrick say?

President Keane was already impatient to eliminate Jack Quinn.

Derrick could only reach out to Richie.

As Leon Keane hung up the call, he turned to see a small figure.

"Ian..."

Leon Keane was very surprised; why was Ian Keane not asleep yet? How much of the conversation with Derrick had Ian overheard?

The night was very quiet, and Derrick’s voice could be clearly heard from the phone.

"Daddy, I think you should also get rid of Julia and Kyle."

Ian Keane’s face, so closely resembling Leon’s, was now unbearably cold. His words didn’t at all match those of a six-year-old child but rather sounded like those of a mature adult.

"Ian, this isn’t something you should concern yourself with."

Leon Keane frowned. Ian’s words had indeed startled him.

Six-year-olds should be at an age where they fear the sight of chicken being slaughtered, all the more so violence. How could he speak of killing so lightly?

"This is exactly what I should be concerned about. Daddy, I am asking you one thing: are you going to deal with Julia and Kyle or not?"

Ian coldly watched Leon, as if the man in front of him wasn’t his father but an equal standing individual.

If Leon Keane said "no," Ian would resolve it in his own way.

"Go to sleep."

Leon Keane did not answer Ian; he commanded sternly.

Ian suddenly smirked, and that expression seemed insolent in Leon’s eyes: "Can’t bear to part with your old lovers? Ha... men!"
