Chapter 263: Chapter 263: Go Ahead and Take Revenge! I’m Not Afraid
Kiki Jennings was stunned for a moment. Leon never used to treat her with such an attitude. Could it be that Leon discovered something?
Kiki suddenly felt a bit guilty, thinking of how she used an alternate account to curse Ivana Monroe on Weibo, even cursing Ivana’s child, who was also Leon Keane’s child.
Kiki shook her head, impossible. How could someone like Leon, a CEO at the top of the pyramid, be checking Ivana Monroe’s Weibo?
Leon never even followed her own Weibo.
Later, Kiki found out that both Kane Group’s Weibo and Leon Keane’s Weibo were applications run by the company, managed by operations, and Leon didn’t even know the login password.
Leon couldn’t be bothered to glance at Kiki again and walked away from her side.
Kiki came to her senses as Leon was about to reach the elevator. Startled, she chased after him, "Leon, give me five minutes. I really have an urgent matter to discuss with you about my daddy..."
Secretary Sullivan untimely stretched out her hand to block Kiki’s way. When Kiki pushed away Secretary Sullivan’s hand, Sullivan suddenly staggered and fell onto Kiki.
Kiki fell to the ground, with Secretary Sullivan pressing on her. She was already in enough pain from the fall, and Sullivan’s weight was like salt on her wound.
"Get off, you damn wage earner." Kiki grimaced in pain, and this time the tears flowing weren’t fake but genuine, as she cursed without any semblance of composure.
Secretary Sullivan deliberately got up slowly from Kiki, pressing heavily on Kiki’s face with her hand as she used her face for support to stand up.
"Ugh~"
Kiki’s face ached, tears streaming down as she felt her nose almost being squashed by Secretary Sullivan. With reddened eyes, she got up from the ground, but Leon was nowhere in sight.
Staring angrily at Secretary Sullivan, Kiki suddenly raised her hand and slapped Sullivan hard across the face.
Sullivan’s face turned red quickly, and a burning pain spread on her face.
Kiki raised her hand again, slapping Sullivan hard across the face once more.
How could one slap be enough? This lowly wage earner dared to block her, collided with her, and even pressed her face.
Kiki decided to give Sullivan ten slaps to make her face as swollen as a pig’s.
A man swiftly came running, grabbing Kiki’s wrist.
Derrick Stern shouted, "Kiki, that’s enough."
Kane Group had other employees Kiki didn’t know, but Derrick Stern was someone she absolutely recognized. Always like a loyal dog, following behind Leon. Whatever Leon had to do, he would delegate to this "tail."
In the past, Kiki would give Derrick some face.
Now, Kiki’s anger burned, and this dog Derrick dared to shout at her over a mere secretary.
This couldn’t be.
Kiki yelled angrily, "Derrick, who do you think you are? Let go of me, I am going to viciously teach this offending wage earner a lesson."
Seeing how unreasonable Kiki was, Derrick forcefully flung her away.
Kiki, unsteady, was thrown to the ground.
Furious, she screamed hysterically, "Derrick, you bastard, you pushed me. I’m going to tell Leon and have him fire you."
Kiki randomly grabbed a high heel that had come off her foot and suddenly swung it at Derrick’s head.
The security guards watching were terrified.
If that shoe hit Special Assistant Stern’s head, wouldn’t it split open?
The security guards broke into a cold sweat for Derrick.
Suddenly, a woman’s hand swiftly covered Derrick’s forehead.
Derrick’s expression changed abruptly, and as he tried to remove the woman’s hand, the high heel came crashing down.
Blood immediately dripped from the woman’s hand onto Derrick’s face.
Secretary Sullivan grimaced in pain, letting out a low cry, "It hurts."
Derrick held Sullivan’s palm, seeing her hand battered and bloody; his pupils contracted sharply as his hands began to tremble violently.
"Don’t be afraid, I’ll take you to the hospital right away."
Derrick wanted to use something to cover Sullivan’s hand wound to stop the bleeding, but her hand was so badly mangled he feared it would cause her more pain.
As Derrick passed by Kiki.
This crazy woman Kiki suddenly stuck her foot out to trip him and Sullivan.
Derrick gently pushed Sullivan away from his embrace and angrily stomped on Kiki’s lower leg.
"Ah~"
Kiki shrieked in pain, squealing like a pig.
Sullivan and the two security guards stood there, stunned.
Such a ruthless Derrick was something they’d never seen before.
"Derrick, you stepped on me, you’re done for, I’m telling you, you’re done for..." Kiki screeched shrilly.
Derrick’s eyes were red, and he growled fiercely, "Go ahead and get revenge on me! If you have the guts, bring it on! I’m not scared!"
Kiki burst into tears.
Turning around, Derrick gently embraced Sullivan, seeing her eyes on Kiki, he softly said, "Let’s not bother with this madwoman, I’ll take you to the hospital."
Sullivan got into Derrick’s car.
The wound hurt, but she couldn’t help worrying about Derrick, "You stepped on Kiki so hard she couldn’t even stand. What if you broke her leg? Then what?"
Kiki cursed Ivana and the little master, making President Kane very angry, and President Kane began to retaliate against The Jennings Group.
But, one thing is separate from the other. If Kiki was really left with a broken leg by Derrick, the Jennings family would certainly seek justice for Kiki.
As Derrick backed the car out of the garage and sped onto Tongjiang Avenue, "So what? Since President Kane already targeted The Jennings Group, he won’t fire me for Kiki."
Derrick wasn’t worried at all that Leon Keane would fire him. If President Kane knew he had broken Kiki’s leg, he might just applaud him!
~
Kiki called Darius Jennings, crying.
When Darius arrived at Kane Group, the ambulance was already there, parked at Kiki’s request to wait for Darius.
Seeing the ambulance, Darius nearly lost his soul, but witnessing a lively Kiki crying loudly in the ambulance, he exhaled softly.
When Kiki got to the hospital, she had an X-ray and it was a mild fracture.
Darius spoke with pain, "That damn Derrick, I won’t let him off the hook. I’ll call Leon right away to have him fired."
Darius called Leon Keane.
Leon had already arrived at "Calyx Television."
Not being staff, without a "Calyx Television" staff member to greet him, Leon was stopped by security, and they wouldn’t let him go up.
Leon was not in the best of moods, and seeing Darius’s call, he didn’t hesitate to hang up.
Darius called twice more, both times being cut off. On the third attempt, he couldn’t get through anymore; Leon had added him to the blacklist.
Leon made a call, and the security downstairs immediately received an internal call from the highest authority at "Calyx Television."
Uttering only four words: "Want to die, let him pass."
The security was scared to death, nodding and bowing as they let Leon in.
