Chapter 294: Chapter 294: Chicken Soup
This man, who else could it be but Sean Vaughn?
Leon Keane’s handsome face darkened.
Timmy Monroe carried a bowl of chicken soup, his innocent little face smiling as he said in a soft voice, "Mommy, Uncle Sean’s chicken soup is so delicious! He added ginseng and deer antler, which are both very nourishing herbs. Mommy, you’ll recover quickly after drinking this soup!"
Chicken soup?
Does his woman need Sean Vaughn to bring her chicken soup?
Leon Keane strode over to Ivana Monroe’s hospital bed, pushing Sean Vaughn, who was holding flowers, to the side. He reached out and took the chicken soup from Timmy Monroe’s hands, saying indifferently, "Is it that good? Let me try it."
Leon Keane tilted his head back and gulped down the bowl of chicken soup. Once the bowl was empty, he frowned and said, "The chicken soup is too salty, not as good as the Kane family chef’s."
Salty?
Sean Vaughn remembered that when he was making the chicken soup, he hadn’t put much salt, knowing Ivana was a patient and shouldn’t have salty chicken soup. After making it, he even tasted it himself, and it wasn’t salty at all!
Could it be his taste buds are failing?
Timmy Monroe blinked his eyes, "Salty? I don’t think it’s salty at all! The flavor is quite mild, which is better for Mommy."
Leon Keane looked at Timmy Monroe, are you my son? You’re siding with outsiders against your old man?
Ian Keane looked up and glanced at Sean Vaughn, his dark eyes narrowing, seemingly hostile towards Sean Vaughn.
Sean Vaughn felt the destructiveness of Ian Keane’s gaze, astonished that this little boy looked exactly like Timmy but had a completely different temperament.
Timmy is lively, enthusiastic, and easygoing.
This little boy is distant, cold, and unapproachable.
Sean Vaughn suddenly thought this little boy reminded him of someone—wasn’t he a little version of Leon Keane?
Are both these kids Leon Keane’s sons?
Sean Vaughn marvelled inwardly, both kids have the same parents, yet their temperaments are so different. But it makes sense; one takes after the mother, and the other takes after the father.
Timmy inherited Ivana Monroe’s more likable personality.
This little boy inherited Leon Keane’s temperament, full of hostility towards him. As soon as Leon came in, he pushed him aside...
Timmy Monroe watched as Leon Keane finished the bowl of chicken soup and handed him the empty bowl. He turned around and poured another bowl of chicken soup from the thermos, "Mommy, there’s still more chicken soup!"
Timmy Monroe was unable to give the chicken soup to Ivana Monroe as Leon Keane intercepted it again, "Daddy is thirsty, this chicken soup is quite refreshing."
Timmy Monroe: "..."
Ivana Monroe watched as Leon Keane finished yet another bowl of chicken soup, feeling speechless—it’s just a bowl of chicken soup, does it matter that much?
Leon Keane is simply being possessive.
Leon Keane was acting possessive because he didn’t want his wife drinking chicken soup made by another man’s hands. After finishing the soup, instead of giving the empty bowl to Timmy, he walked over to the thermos and saw that there was still more than half a bottle of chicken soup left.
Leon Keane belched, feeling a bit nauseated.
He could down another half bowl, but drinking so much would make him too full to handle.
"Daddy, I’m thirsty too, give me some to drink," Ian Keane said as he walked over.
Leon Keane looked down at Ian Keane’s serious little face and smiled. At least his son who stayed with him knew how to share his old man’s worries, unlike Timmy who was a little rascal, making things difficult for his father.
Actually, in this matter, Timmy and Ian stood on different sides. One followed their mother, so Timmy wanted Leon Keane to see that his mommy wasn’t sticking to Leon. If Leon didn’t know how to cherish her, he’d regret it in the future.
Ian followed Leon Keane and was afraid that if another man treated Ivana well, she’d leave Leon and not accept him as her son anymore.
Leon and Ian Keane, the father and son duo, managed to finish the rest of the chicken soup in the thermos.
After drinking it all.
Leon Keane wiped his mouth with a napkin, saying, "Honey, you want chicken soup? I’ll make some and bring it tonight."
Ivana was speechless.
She said, "No need."
Leon Keane: "There is a need, mine tastes way better than his."
Ian Keane: "I believe in Daddy, because this chicken soup is the worst I’ve ever tasted. If not for the thirst, I wouldn’t have drunk such awful chicken soup."
Sean Vaughn: I came at the wrong time.
Ivana liked this little boy Ian Keane. Hearing him speak, Ivana smiled, "Really? Then Mommy must try your Daddy’s cooking."
Ian’s cold little face also smiled, glad that Mommy didn’t like other men and favored his Daddy.
Ian nodded, "Mm-hmm."
Leon Keane’s thin lips curved slightly, and he suddenly said to Sean Vaughn, "Do you have other business?"
Sean Vaughn immediately realized that Leon Keane was chasing him away.
He didn’t dare offend Leon Keane and shook his head, "No, I have no business left. Sister, I’m leaving now! I’ll visit you again next time."
Ian Keane was stunned, Sister? So this man is Mommy’s brother? His uncle?
Ian looked up, not understanding why Leon Keane handled it as if he was a rival in love, making him drink so much chicken soup.
This time he genuinely needed to go to the bathroom.
After Sean Vaughn left.
Leon Keane snorted, "Does he think he can be my brother-in-law? How delusional."
Ian Keane frowned, "Daddy, that man isn’t Mommy’s real brother?"
Leon Keane: "A stray brother."
Ivana was also exasperated, the chicken soup was drunk, the person left, but all over a title, was it really necessary?
Ian Keane: "Oh! I sensed something wrong in the way he looked at Mommy, turns out he’s a stray. Daddy, you’d better be careful! Don’t let him get near Mommy."
Leon Keane sighed, "Daddy doesn’t want him near your Mommy either, but your Mommy agreed to help him shoot a music video. She’s his main actress and has scenes with him."
Leon Keane grumbled a bit like a resentful husband.
Ian Keane’s little face was cold, and he said three words, "Blacklist him."
Leon Keane’s dark pupils brightened up, he’d also wanted to do that but couldn’t bring it up to Ivana—now that Ian suggested it.
Ivana gave Leon Keane a sidelong glance—he’s just misleading the child.
Ivana said, "Ian, don’t listen to his one-sided words. Uncle Sean helped me when I was struggling, so I owe him a favor."
"Uncle Sean and I are just in a professional relationship; he has no other intentions towards me."
Leon Keane didn’t agree with Ivana. No other intentions? Would he personally make chicken soup for her? Ivana just didn’t understand men. Men only go out of their way to please the women they care about.
Sean Vaughn’s act of making chicken soup was an act of flattery.
One must admit, Sean Vaughn was more clever than the average rival by first acting as a brother and then personally making chicken soup—was he trying to win over Ivana bit by bit?
