Chapter 326: Chapter 27 – A Thrilling Battle
After unlocking his energy, Boros’s power skyrocketed. The full might of a universal overlord burst forth—so fierce that even space itself trembled.
With a single stomp of his foot, several chambers beneath him exploded in an instant.
His figure vanished in a flash of violet light. In the blink of an eye, he appeared in front of Ron. Before Ron could even react, Boros’s punch struck directly at his chest, which was covered in Armament Haki. The pitch-black armor-like coating shattered instantly under the impact.
Boom!
Ron’s chest caved inward from the blow.
"Ugh..."
A look of pain twisted across his face. A moment later, the terrifying force of the punch erupted fully, launching Ron like a shooting star into the sky.
Swoosh!
Boros stomped down again, becoming a streak of violet light as he shot after him.
Another strike!
Ron’s Reincarnation Eyes flashed with radiant light.
Repulsion burst forth!
Boros, charging in like a thunderbolt, suddenly halted in mid-air, as if struck head-on by an enormous hammer. His entire body shuddered violently under the backlash.
Two immense forces clashed, creating shockwaves so devastating that even someone with a body like Superalloy Darkshine’s would be torn apart.
"Haaa!"
Boros’s eyes gleamed with battle frenzy. Purple light surged wildly from his body, and the immense energy within him erupted like a miniature sun. He forcefully suppressed the rampaging repulsion inside him.
After shifting a short distance downward, he kicked off again, launching himself straight toward Ron in the sky.
Ron, wielding a longsword forged from his own blood essence and energy, slashed downward.
But Boros dodged with ease.
His speed was so extreme it resembled teleportation—he appeared right behind Ron and punched out again.
Just as it was about to land—
A black sphere materialized in front of Ron.
The moment Boros’s fist was about to touch it, a strange sense of dread flooded him. He immediately aborted the attack and retreated dozens of meters, staring at Ron and the ominous black sphere swirling around him.
With narrowed eyes, he asked coldly, "Human... what is that?"
"This?"
Ron lifted his hand. The black sphere floated just above his palm.
Holding up the Truth-Seeking Orb, Ron turned toward Boros. His half-length black hair danced in the wind, and his handsome, chiseled face shone with the brilliance of his sapphire-like Reincarnation Eyes.
"This... is called a Truth-Seeking Orb. It doesn’t belong to this world."
Boros’s eyes narrowed. "Not of this world? What do you mean?"
"There’s no need to explain it to you."
Ron cracked his neck, crick-crack, "Since you’re going all-out now, I’ll stop holding back too."
Boros paused—then suddenly burst into maniacal laughter. "Interesting!!"
"Then show me what kind of surprises you’ve got in store, human!"
In a flash, Boros vanished again.
The next moment, he reappeared before Ron, sweeping his leg in a kick so powerful it created a howling storm of heat that scorched everything across several hundred meters in front of him—any normal person touched by it would be incinerated on the spot.
But the kick hit nothing but air.
"There!"
Boros looked upward.
A thousand meters above, Ron hovered in mid-air. His body was wrapped in Armament Haki and blazing blood essence. He held a crimson-glass longsword, glowing with a deadly aura. The moment Boros looked up, Ron slashed downward.
"Ittōryū Secret Technique—Sky Flow!"
Where the slash passed, the sky shattered like fragile glass.
Even Boros felt a deep sense of danger from that blow.
For a split second, he considered dodging. But the thought was instantly crushed.
Hadn’t he come to Earth for a battle that would push him to his limits? If he didn’t dare to take this attack head-on, what kind of fight would that be?
"This... this is what I call a real battle!"
Boros roared with laughter. He clenched his fists and crossed his arms before his chest. Energy surged and converged in front of his body. Then, with a mighty motion, his arms flung open.
A blinding pillar of violet energy burst from the eye embedded in his chest, rocketing toward the incoming slash.
The two forces collided.
For an instant, the world fell silent.
And then—
As if a new sun had been born, a massive energy sphere exploded into existence over City A. Waves of searing light and heat spread in every direction. Even from neighboring cities, the sky could be seen glowing suddenly brighter.
"Whoa..."
At the outskirts of City A, Saitama looked up at the enormous energy orb.
"What incredible power... Someone’s fighting up there?"
Back in the ruins of City A—
The S-Class heroes had just finished off two powerful alien monsters and were about to round up the smaller ones, when—
The sky above suddenly turned bright.
Before they could react, the air around them thickened. The ground began to quake, and fissures raced in every direction. A storm of blazing heat surged down from above.
Explosions rocked the alien mothership, fire roaring into the sky. The surviving small monsters didn’t even have time to flee—some were swallowed by gaping cracks, others were swept up in blazing whirlwinds.
The earth quaked, the sky roared, chaos ruled the battlefield.
The S-Class heroes quickly pulled back to a safer distance.
They looked upward, expressions filled with confusion and unease.
"What the hell is happening up there?!"
Atomic Samurai gripped his sword, his face grim.
What kind of power could make them feel such overwhelming pressure?
With the massive alien ship still above them, they couldn’t see what was happening in the sky.
"Hey,"
Child Emperor furrowed his brow, rubbing his chin. "Were those three alien monsters really the leaders of this ship?"
"Huh?"
Puri-Puri Prisoner blinked.
Metal Bat, resting his bat on his shoulder, turned to look at Child Emperor. "You mean those three weren’t the real bosses?"
Superalloy Darkshine scratched his head. "We already brought down their ship and wiped out most of their forces. If there was a boss, wouldn’t they have shown up already?"
Genos glanced at him. "Then how do you explain that earlier attack on Tatsumaki? That power was clearly on a completely different level than those three aliens."
Up in the air, Tatsumaki’s gaze shifted slightly.
The other S-Class heroes grew more serious.
Genos looked skyward. "If my guess is right... the real boss of this alien ship is currently being held at bay. All that commotion from earlier—that was the sound of their battle."
Flashy Flash frowned. "But who? Who could do that?"
Bang’s mind flashed back to a certain scene.
"Could it be..."
Child Emperor, who had remained silent for some time, finally spoke with a serious tone.
"If I’m not mistaken, the one who killed that immortal monster earlier... and the one currently fighting the true boss of this ship... should be the same person."
"That mysterious... Swordmaster."
All the S-Class heroes felt their hearts tremble.
Tatsumaki, who already knew the truth, narrowed her eyes and took to the air.
"I’m going to see for myself."
Genos kicked off the ground, engines roaring, and shot upward like a missile, disappearing into the alien mothership above.
