Chapter 219: Chapter 219: Couple Accessories
Nora Northwood held Jasper Sinclair’s hand, smoothing things over, "It’s not really urgent, focus on your work first."
Jasper Sinclair didn’t say anything further, while Louis Hayes silently thought he’d dodged a bullet.
After a short while, the car smoothly stopped at their destination.
In the bustling city center, a seventeen-story building stood alone.
This is the largest shopping mall in Kingsford, featuring countless international and domestic brands, providing a full range of dining, entertainment, and leisure.
"Let’s go to the seventeenth floor," Jasper said, holding Nora’s hand, as they walked into an elevator marked with special characters.
Nora casually remarked, "Being rich is nice, you don’t even need to wait for the elevator when shopping."
"These will all be yours someday."
The elevator’s numbers slowly ascended, as Jasper played with Nora’s rounded fingertips, reluctant to let go.
"Didn’t expect someone to enjoy playing with fingers, like a little kid."
A little kid?
Jasper was both amused and helpless with this description; being a man in his thirties, having his delicate wife call him a kid was indeed a bit awkward.
He replied, "Whatever my wife says is what it is."
Then, he raised his hand to tidily adjust Nora’s bangs, "Your forehead looks better exposed." Finally, he added, "You look good even when it’s not exposed."
As he retracted his hand, he examined Nora’s face carefully.
Nora, influenced by his series of small actions, felt a blush spread across her cheeks.
Until the elevator doors opened, allowing them to breathe fresh air.
Once outside, she looked at the dazzling shops surrounding them, unsure of which direction to go.
"Where are you taking me?"
"Just wandering."
Despite saying casually, Jasper’s steps were deliberately earnest as he led her into a boutique jewelry store.
As soon as they entered, a group of staff greeted them in unison, calling out, "President Sinclair."
Previously, Nora always shopped alone, never experiencing such grandeur, making her walk in a rather awkward manner.
Jasper noticed the change beside him and dismissed the staff.
"We don’t need service, please go about your work."
Once the surrounding people left, Nora relaxed significantly.
Jasper said, "You can be considered a small boss now, don’t be nervous."
She whispered, "Do you always have so many people surrounding you when you shop?"
"I rarely go out; the new products each month are usually sent directly to the villa."
Nora understood that the villa Jasper referred to wasn’t their current home at Southwood Court.
They reached a counter where Jasper’s gaze was drawn to an amber-colored trinket.
He tapped his finger, "Take this out."
Then, the sales assistant retrieved a brooch from the display cabinet, its glow shining brightly under the lights.
Jasper picked up the brooch from its box, turned to Nora, "Nora, let me help you put it on."
Nora gave him a gentle smile, the dimples reappearing.
Jasper’s Adam’s apple slid up and down once.
Even through clothing, Nora could feel the warmth from his fingertips.
"Thank you."
Her heart raced as she realized the brooch color matched Jasper’s tie exceptionally well.
Jasper seriously fastened the brooch, turned her around to face the mirror, "Take a look, do you like it?"
Nora nodded slightly, "It’s beautiful."
Like couple accessories... of course, she left the words unsaid.
