Chapter 173: Chapter 173: I’m Not Your Mom

Spencer Ford glanced with disdain, but he knew that if he didn’t eat this, he’d go hungry tonight.

Gritting his teeth, he suppressed the urge to seek out Jasper Sinclair.

Whatever, hold back for now, and let May Lawrence give that bitch Nora Northwood a good talking to when there’s a chance.

Eating dinner angrily, he himself forgot that even the leftovers were better than what he usually ate at home.

After coming out of the kitchen, Jasper Sinclair and Nora Northwood were sitting on the sofa, chatting about something.

"President Sinclair, I don’t need a pickup and drop-off anymore. Don’t let him come tomorrow."

Thinking about how everyone made fun of him for being a bumpkin in class today unsettled him.

Despite his efforts to explain that his brother-in-law was Jasper Sinclair, they still didn’t believe him.

They even said that if he’s part of the Sinclair Family, how could he come to school in such a thing.

Not only them, even Spencer Ford himself wanted to know.

Nora Northwood glanced at him without speaking, snuggled in his arms, and briefly chuckled.

Hearing what Sid told her about the incident, she almost laughed herself silly.

The Ford Father and son are known for nothing else but their vanity; poor yet wanting face, often puffing themselves up beyond reality.

"That won’t do. Didn’t your dad say that it’s not close to school from here and asked me to drive you? How could I go against him?" Jasper Sinclair smiled, curling his lips.

This is just the beginning, Spencer Ford wants to live peacefully here, but there’s more to come.

"But..."

"What? Is the car not good enough?" He looked up at Spencer Ford: "When the Sinclair Family fell, I walked with these legs to meet clients everywhere. You have a car; there’s nothing you can’t achieve."

He said it intentionally, and it brewed anger within Spencer Ford.

How dare this guy look down on him, just because he’s an adult?

With a sullen face, he suddenly recalled when Jasper Sinclair told him not to go to the study room.

Clenching his teeth, he made a bold decision.

Nora by his side knew exactly what he was thinking just by watching him.

Her hand fiddled with the magazine paused, and she licked her lips subconsciously, just as she was about to say something, the man beside her stole a quick peck unnoticed.

Glaring at him, Nora flushed and turned away.

After a while, Jasper Sinclair pulled Nora Northwood up intending to rest.

Suddenly Spencer Ford stood up: "Nora, my dad mentioned when he was here that I should ask you for living expenses. Just a thousand for the week will do."

Spencer Ford raised his hand, looking rightfully entitled.

In his mind, a thousand bucks was nothing to her.

Not just considering Jasper Sinclair’s status, but even Nora Northwood ran a studio, so getting a thousand bucks should be easy for her.

It’s not because school things are pricey that he’s asking so much, mainly because he had his eye on a gaming console and wanted to use the money to buy it, planning to make excuses and ask Nora for it later.

Anyway, his father said that Nora was their ATM.

In the past, Nora would have tolerated for May Lawrence, but now it’s different.

She looked over coldly.

"Why should I give you money? I’m not your mom. Didn’t Quentin Ford give you any when he came?"

Her answer stunned both May Lawrence and Spencer Ford. Indeed, Nora used to endure things quietly.

Even if she had some rebellion in mind, she would eventually swallow it down.
