Chapter 110: Chapter 110: It’s No Big Deal to Sleep Together

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Nora Northwood glanced at him, blushing and thinking there might be something dirty on her face.

Jasper Sinclair chuckled, stood up, walked to her side, and suddenly leaned down as if to kiss her.

She was so nervous that she immediately closed her eyes, her body instinctively leaning back a bit.

Even her earlobes turned a rosy red.

Satisfied with her reaction, Jasper Sinclair raised his hand and playfully patted her head, "Let’s go, I’ll take you out to eat today."

With that, he got up and went outside first.

Nora Northwood came to her senses, realizing that he was teasing her. She puffed up her cheeks in anger, huffed, grabbed her things, and left.

Jasper Sinclair drove her to a seaside restaurant.

This western restaurant was notoriously expensive, something Nora Northwood had heard about.

So when he stepped inside, she hesitated a little.

"Mr. Sinclair, are we really eating here? Isn’t this place a bit too pricey?"

Rubbing her hands, she asked anxiously.

Her eyes occasionally glanced to the side, unsure whether she should go in.

She was also worried about embarrassing Mr. Sinclair, so she only dared to ask in a whisper.

Her adorable reaction softened Jasper Sinclair’s heart a bit; he squeezed her cheek playfully, "Don’t worry, we can afford it."

After saying that, he confidently took her hand and led her inside.

The waiter, ready to greet them, was stopped by a glance from Jasper. With a knowing look, the waiter led them to the reserved private room.

Looking at the English above the menu, she was grateful for her passable night school scores; otherwise, she wouldn’t be able to read the menu.

Jasper Sinclair knew she rarely visited places like this, so he thoughtfully ordered according to her taste.

"How is it? Is there anything else you’d like to add?"

Closing the menu, he patiently asked for her opinion, seeing Nora Northwood shake her head indicating no, and then dismissed the waiter.

He sent away the servant that came to attend to them, deciding to do it himself today.

Once the staff had left, Nora Northwood relaxed a bit.

"Why is Mr. Sinclair treating me to dinner today?" She felt a bit puzzled.

Jasper Sinclair’s body stiffened slightly, awkwardly licking his lips, not knowing how to admit it was because he felt guilty about the incident at the hotel the other day.

"Why does a husband need a reason to take his wife out for dinner? Our boss mentioned this place was nice, so I thought I’d bring you to try it." He poured her some red wine.

Unsure of her alcohol tolerance, he didn’t pour too much.

Nora Northwood remained silent, and neither spoke for quite a while, making the atmosphere awkward.

Fortunately, the dishes arrived just then.

She was indeed a bit hungry, and started eating slowly.

"About that day..." he hesitated for a long time but eventually brought it up.

Nora Northwood stiffened briefly, her face turning crimson, but then recalling the mysterious Yara, her flushed cheeks instantly grew pale.

Taking a deep breath, she feigned indifference, "It’s nothing. We’re married, and neither of us is old-fashioned; having a relationship isn’t a big deal."

Her casual attitude made him feel slightly uncomfortable, but he didn’t know what to say.

The atmosphere turned awkward once again.

Both felt uneasy throughout the meal, and even after paying and getting into the car, Nora Northwood didn’t say a word.

As they were nearing home, she suddenly spoke, "I don’t know who Yara is, but if there’s someone else in your heart, just tell me. When the contract ends, I’ll repay you and we can go our separate ways. However, during our marriage, I hope you’ll respect me."
