Chapter 137: Chapter 137: Hit Me! Come On, Hit Me!
Timmy Monroe frowned and suddenly pushed Ian Keane, angrily saying, "You’re the one with a broken brain!"
Ian Keane was caught off guard and staggered back several steps. The few kids who arrived early were shocked, their eyes wide open as if their eyeballs would fall out.
Oh my god~
Timmy Monroe dared to push Ian Keane? Doesn’t Timmy Monroe know that Ian Keane is the most formidable person at Wellbright Kindergarten? Does he have a death wish?
Ian Keane’s cool little face instantly froze over. He raised his tiny fist, aiming at Timmy Monroe’s face.
All the kids who came early instinctively covered their eyes, afraid to look, fearing they’d see Timmy Monroe’s head get smashed, blood splattering across the classroom—too terrifying.
Timmy Monroe raised his chin, his small face coldly glaring at Ian Keane: "Go ahead, hit me! I let you have my mommy, my mommy is so nice to you, I thought you’d be moved. Who would’ve thought you’d still be so rude to her? Even when my mommy and I learned you fainted, we were worried for a long time."
Ian Keane was slightly stunned, the anger on his face disappearing. Surprise flashed through his dark eyes—could that woman have worried about him? And been concerned for a long time?
Ian Keane glanced at Timmy Monroe’s little face, trying to find guilt in his eyes, but there was none. In Timmy Monroe’s eyes, there was only anger, still anger.
The new classmates who came in saw the tension between the two brothers and were all so scared they detoured around them.
Molly Mason, outside the classroom, overheard Timmy Monroe’s angry voice. She hurried into the classroom, seeing the two identical little boys facing off.
She was taken aback. The two little boys were both familiar and beloved faces, standing face to face. For a moment, Molly Mason couldn’t distinguish who was Timmy Monroe and who was Ian Keane.
Seeing one of the boys slowly lower his raised fist, she crouched between them and gently said, "This is better, right? You look so alike. Ms. Mason guesses you might be long-lost brothers separated for six years! So, real brothers shouldn’t fight; they should help each other and be loving."
Ian Keane glanced at Molly Mason and frowned, "Enough chatter."
Molly Mason: This little boy is so rude; he mustn’t be my dear Timmy. He must be Ian Keane.
Ian Keane looked at Timmy Monroe again, his dark eyes flickering slightly, and said, "Sorry."
After saying that, he turned and walked out of the middle-class room with big steps.
Timmy Monroe was very surprised, standing there in a daze for a while before coming to his senses: His brother...apologized to him?
Molly Mason was also very shocked. When she started working as a teacher here, the principal warned her that Ian Keane had a bad temper and not to provoke him. Even if she saw Ian Keane hitting other kids, she shouldn’t scold him.
Simply put, Ian Keane...is not to be messed with.
It was dismissal time.
As soon as the bell rang, Timmy Monroe shouldered his Minion backpack and was the first to rush out of the classroom. He didn’t head towards the outside of the school but ran to the middle-class one entrance.
Ian Keane put on his sunglasses and walked out of the classroom, immediately seeing Timmy Monroe standing outside.
"I also had something wrong this morning, brother, I owe you an apology," Timmy Monroe sincerely apologized to Ian Keane.
Ian Keane felt a bit guilty. In the morning, his attitude was arrogant and rude; he shouldn’t have spoken like that about Timmy Monroe’s mommy. But he clearly wasn’t thinking that, he was clearly concerned about that woman, yet the words changed when he spoke.
Ian Keane frowned, not knowing why he did that.
"I was the one at fault first," Ian Keane said, "also last time, I bit you, I should apologize for that too."
"What happened last time? I forgot about it a long time ago," Timmy Monroe grinned, showing a sunny smile, and reached out his hand, saying, "Brother, let’s shake hands and make up, and stop fighting, okay?"
Ian Keane extended his hand, the warmth of two palms merging into a special force. Ian Keane felt it, and Timmy Monroe felt it too.
The two brothers smiled at each other.
Ian Keane felt a warm feeling in his heart, quite comfortable. Apologizing wasn’t as bad as he thought!
The day before the court trial, Old Madam Young stayed at her son’s house; she insisted on attending tomorrow. She wanted to see Ivana Monroe looking worried, regretting it, and desperately begging.
More than a million is a small amount for the Young family, but for Ivana Monroe, it’s a big sum. Bella Young said that Ivana’s company’s current situation makes it difficult to come up with so much money all at once.
Around half-past six, Hugo Young came back, his face looking a bit gloomy.
"Hugo, you’re home so early today!" Bella Young was in a good mood. Tomorrow’s court, if she wins the lawsuit, she’ll have money to spend. Happily, she walked over to greet Hugo Young, taking the suit jacket he handed her.
Hugo Young’s rough face was stern. He wasn’t in the mood to pay attention to Bella Young.
"Hugo, you’re not responding when I speak to you?" Bella Young was too happy inside, not noticing the strange look on Hugo Young’s face. She gently nudged him with her arm, acting coquettishly.
Hugo Young, absent-mindedly changing his shoes, was nudged, causing him to sway and hit the shoe cabinet at the entrance. His temper flared up.
He stood up straight and suddenly pushed Bella Young, causing her to fall to the ground. He didn’t apologize but yelled loudly at her, "What’s your problem? I’m exhausted outside, and when I come home, can’t you be a little quieter? Chattering away, do you want me to glue your mouth shut?"
Bella Young fell on the smooth floor, already hurt from the fall, and with Hugo Young’s yelling, her eyes went red immediately.
Married to Hugo Young all these years, he’d never been this harsh to her before.
Old Madam Young’s sharp eyes instantly noticed her son’s expression was off as soon as he walked in, likely something went wrong at the company. She couldn’t stand Bella Young’s act—such a foolish vase, couldn’t even read her husband’s face—serves her right.
Old Madam Young sided with her son and scolded Bella Young, "Hugo was right; that mouth of yours should be glued shut. And that hand, is it restless too? To touch my son? Hugo, if she does this next time, don’t give her face in front of me, just give her two slaps until she wises up."
Typically, Hugo Young would certainly defend Bella Young, but today he was in no mood. The company’s shares plummeted significantly, and the bank refused to lend money. An unprecedented fear gripped Hugo Young’s heart.
Hugo Young responded perfunctorily with an "Mm," sat at the round marble dining table, and when the servant brought meals, he had no appetite, taking a couple of bites before he couldn’t eat anymore.
Bella Young, upon hearing Hugo Young’s reply, felt as if her heart was being sharply torn open.
